00:00Nebraska took care of Vanderbilt.
00:02That was a great game.
00:03Went back and forth.
00:05Nebraska, you know, we kept saying this all year long about this team.
00:08I really don't know who Nebraska is.
00:11Vanderbilt had a great Southeastern Conference championships.
00:14They really did a great job.
00:16They destroyed Florida in that SEC.
00:19Who's Nebraska?
00:21It's tough to call because Vandy was a good team,
00:24but before the season started, they were 30-1,
00:26and as the season, you know, played on, their odds actually got bigger.
00:30I think they were like 60-1 or 71 before the tournament.
00:33So they kind of underperformed this season with the talent
00:35that they had on the basketball court,
00:36while Nebraska has overperformed.
00:39You could have grabbed a big number on them before the tournament.
00:42It might have been like 200-1.
00:44But the game was a pick-em.
00:45I think Vandy ended up closing like minus 1.5 or minus 2,
00:48and it came down to a last-second three-point shot that went in and out of it,
00:52you know, or else Vandy would have moved on.
00:54But, yeah, Nebraska's a good team, solid team,
00:56but I think they're like maybe like the second tier.
01:00They're not a top-tier college basketball team.
01:02I don't think they can beat the bigs.
01:04You know, you handicapped both college football and college basketball.
01:08Do you think coaching matters more in college basketball than in college football?
01:13See, for me, Godfather, I think it looks more like, you know,
01:18you got to be a great recruiter when obviously you got to be a great recruiter in both,
01:22but, boy, it just seems that coaching, look at the coaches that are going on
01:26in the second round so far into the Sweet 16.
01:29I mean, do you think coaching matters more in college hoop?
01:32I think during March Madness it does.
01:34But then again, the college football playoffs are big as well.
01:37So, but, yeah, during March Madness because, you know,
01:39you're playing every other day and you got to analyze these teams
01:42and you got to come out with schemes and you got to know their weaknesses
01:44and their strengths and how to play these teams.
01:47You got to know, you know, how fast, what's their possession count?
01:50Do they run fast?
01:52Do they run slow?
01:52So, yeah, I think March Madness is in management.
01:55Arkansas, you mentioned that High Point team.
01:58Hey, by the way, I had to look it up.
02:00Okay, High Point is in North Carolina.
02:03So, I give them credit because it's, you know, it's Tobacco Road and all,
02:07but here's Calipari again with another opportunity to make a long run
02:12in the tournament.
02:13In your opinion, this Razorback team, how far can they go?
02:16I mean, they're a good team.
02:18And High Point gave them a run for the money as 12 and a half point underdogs.
02:22We took High Point last night, and that's a rarity for me
02:25because I didn't think they could win the game,
02:26but I think they could stay close.
02:27This Arkansas team, I mean, offensively, they can score on anyone.
02:31Defensively, not the best.
02:32But, again, they got one of the best coaches in college basketball,
02:36and it shows.
02:37You know, when you got a coach like that, you can go deep.
02:40The Izzo's, Calipari's, Self, you got Patino's.
02:45Those guys have been around forever, and you're not going to trick those guys.
02:48You know, they're going to come out with a game plan,
02:50and if their players play at an efficient level, at an optimum level,
02:53they're going to be able to beat some teams that might be better than they are.
