00:00On Saturday, in El Salvador, social organizations took part in a caravan in solidarity with the Cuban people
00:05that traveled along major avenues of the country's capital.
00:09More than 100 vehicles bearing the Cuban flag and banners condemned in the U.S. blockade
00:15made their way to the Cuban embassy, where dozens of social movements, activists, held a political solidarity event.
00:22Demonstrators called for an end to the disastrous policies implemented by Donald Trump against the people of the island.
00:29In this context, Salvadorians also highlighted Cuba's solidarity missions over the last decades
00:34as an example of dignity, hope, and sovereignty for the peoples of the world.
00:39For his part, the Cuban ambassador to El Salvador thanked the participants' solidarity acts with the island.
00:51We demonstrate that the people of El Salvador, through their diverse social and political expressions and organizations,
00:58stands in solidarity with Cuba and condemn Donald Trump's actions, specifically his intensification of the blockade,
01:05his implementation of a policy of extermination and oil embargo, and his attempts to take over and subdue Cuba.
01:12We cannot allow ourselves to remain silent.
01:16When at this very moment, millions of Cubans, millions of Cuban families are suffering as a result of the disastrous
01:24policies implemented by Donald Trump.
01:28This is very important to us, firstly because today's event is one of many others taking place in countries around
01:34the world.
01:35And adds to our America convoy which is bringing together in Cuba more than 600 delegates from different parts of
01:41the world,
01:41because they are showing their solidarity with Cuba and because Cuba is not alone.
