00:01.
00:02.
00:02.
00:02.
00:02.
00:02.
00:02.
00:03.
00:03.
00:07Paradox, finalmente ho messo me.
00:09Oh, wait.
00:11I've got to go on this side, not on the drive.
00:13Shit, this is going to be a nightmare.
00:15You can do it.
00:16I don't know.
00:18We'll see.
00:36Yeah, it looks all right.
00:38Good thing we're not on horseback like in the old days.
00:41One, we wouldn't have this lady telling us where to go.
00:44No.
00:47But the horse might know where to go.
00:50They should have a sign that says,
00:52Beware, American driver on board.
01:05Hi, my name is Gordon Van Dyke.
01:06I'm the senior producer on War of the Roses.
01:09My name is Morten Stormdal.
01:11I'm the lead designer on War of the Roses.
01:14So what we've done is we actually took a trip to England
01:17to check out actual locations
01:20and battles that took place in War of the Roses.
01:23We really want to find out what everything was about
01:27and use all this information and everything that we learned
01:30to make an even better game.
01:33We're also actually going to get to put on some armor
01:36and ride some horses and get a quick lesson
01:39from people who actually still joust
01:43and see how it felt to be a mounted soldier on a horse,
01:48feel what it felt like to wear armor
01:50and your actual mobility and swing a sword
01:53and a lot of cool things that I kind of always fantasized as a kid.
01:58At least I did.
01:59Yeah.
02:00Childhood dream.
02:01Cool.
02:10We're beginning our journey in England in St. Albans.
02:14And this is, you know, for a specific reason that this is actually where
02:19the battles begin, the fight between the Lancasters and the York.
02:24Give us a little background information on how the Wars of the Roses kind of began,
02:29because you know a bit more about the history than I do.
02:32It is a fight between two houses over the crown.
02:36The crown of England, who's going to be king and who's going to rule the land.
02:45That's basically it.
02:46And it's York and Lancaster.
02:48Both have the claim to the crown.
02:53And, well, it goes a lot of back and forth, but in the end, it ends up as a civil
02:59war.
03:06So this is pretty cool.
03:07We're in St. Albans.
03:10And this is the clock tower.
03:12And this is the clock tower we actually have in our game.
03:14We don't see it from here, but the door into this tower is this high.
03:19We had to scale the whole thing up to be able to fight on the inside.
03:23Since we're making a third-person game with kind of wide swings and stuff like that,
03:30you have to, all the passages need to be a certain width.
03:33This is spectacular.
03:35This is going to be the best, the best trip I've probably ever taken.
03:38And best of all, it's for the game we're working on that we're both very passionate about.
03:43So this is going to be an excellent, excellent journey for us.
