00:02My goal this week has been to bring my Wii Fit age down because it was fairly devastating
00:07to discover that I was actually 10 years older in terms of fitness to what I really am.
00:13It's motivated me to keep exercising. I'm now pretty much bang on where I should be
00:18but what woman doesn't want to shave a few years off, eh?
00:21It's just basically asking me to walk 20 paces on the spot and here we go.
00:28Some days I might feel like, right, I'm really energized and I want to work with a personal trainer
00:33and do a high impact routine. Other times I want to just have a little bit of fun with it.
00:37I'm going to try and do trampoline target now which is apparently good for my balance.
00:43So here we go. Extend legs quickly to make your me jump. Oh, look at me go. Oh, I just
00:48did a somersault.
00:51When I do manage to grab 20 minutes, 10 minutes, half an hour, however much time I have,
00:56I can just go bang straight to what it is I want to work out on.
00:59Oh, here we go. Now it would like to present me with my Wii Fit age.
01:05So if you can flip away.
01:07Yay! It's good. 49, which obviously is not brilliant because I am actually 44 years old
01:15but that's good. That means I'm fitter than I was a week ago.
01:17The boxing is awesome.
01:18You can feel the vibration when you do it right and you get that errrr feeling.
01:24You can really start to feel it in your arms.
01:27And I'm finding it easier to do than the dance thing which I found out I was really quite spectacularly
01:32bad at.
01:33I've got completely out of time.
01:35Hang on. She's going faster. Hang on. Hang on.
01:38You see I can't do hands and feet at the same time.
01:42Hang on. If you hold your tummy in at the same time, actually you can really feel it working.
01:48Right. Here we go.
01:52I've really noticed that it has helped flatten my tummy down.
01:56I'm on my way to a really rock hard belly.
01:59If I'm in the middle of doing an exercise routine and the kids come home from school
02:03and they want to watch TV, I can transfer what I'm watching on the big screen onto my gamepad
02:08and just carry on with my routine while they are busy watching cartoons, which is fabulous.
02:12The main thing that I've found that has absolutely become as normal as brushing my teeth
02:17is clipping on my fit meter.
02:20Okay, so I'm now going to sync my fit meter with my gamepad
02:24just to see how many steps I've taken today and how many calories I've burned.
02:27So here goes.
02:30Okay.
02:34267 calories, which by my reckoning, that's about the same as I'd expect to burn at an aerobics class.
02:39So that's awesome.
02:41One of my main problems with exercising is time and boredom.
02:45Now that I've started doing it and finding things that work for me
02:48and being taken on slightly different directions, I think this is something I can actually achieve.
02:53If I've come this far over a week, I'm really excited to see what I can do
02:56over the next couple of months or so.
