Thousands of people from all walks of life thronged the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house hosted by the Johor Palace at Istana Besar, Johor Baru.

People could be seen making a beeline since early Sunday (March 22) morning, with many seen donning their colourful traditional clothes.

00:19Also attending the open house for the first time was software engineer 26-year-old S. Harshini,
00:26who found out about the event through a video on social media.
00:29So I saw in TikTok then I plan to come in on family and try all the chicken rendang.
00:36So how does it feel coming here?
00:39All the food is very delicious, got many options like chicken rendang,
00:43desserts, biscuits, got escape food, mellow food, very nice.
00:48Meanwhile, 20-year-old Singaporean student Kai Win said this was his first time attending an open house
00:55and it had been a pleasing experience.
00:57It's quite interesting there, there's quite a community feel
01:02and there's a lot of people showing up just enjoying the Ramadan open house,
01:07so I think it's a nice atmosphere.
01:09Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sophia, Queen of Malaysia, also graced the event
