00:03Hello you, goodbye January, and welcome to our roundup of PlayStation Plus for February 2014.
00:11Becoming a PlayStation Plus member gives you access to loads of awesome benefits, PlayStation Store discounts, exclusive game content, and
00:19best of all, the Instant Game Collection, a catalogue of top-rated PS4, PS3, and PS Vita titles, available at
00:28no extra cost.
00:29Here's a look at what's hitting the Instant Game Collection in February.
00:32Kicking off the month of love, in the most unromantic fashion imaginable, really, is Outlast, a brand new PS4 horror
00:40title that's so scary you'll need to watch something comparatively friendly, The Exorcist, for instance, to calm you down afterwards.
00:48Outlast sticks you in a derelict asylum filled with dead things, things you wish were dead things, and the dark,
00:54and invites you to prod its terrifying core, like some cruel dad asking you to pull his finger.
01:00You know you're not going to like the outcome, but you can't resist the plunge.
01:04We think you should pull Outlast's clinically insane finger when it hits PS4's Instant Game Collection on February the 5th.
01:12Meanwhile, joining the PS3 Instant Game Collection are a couple of titles so ludicrously brilliant we'd advise you crack out
01:19the Ray-Bans on Approach, especially when this bit happens in Bioshock Infinite.
01:23Wow, and those lighting effects can be yours at no extra cost, in addition to these guns, those brilliant powers,
01:31and this fine lady called Elizabeth, who bucks the trend of ignominious gaming psychics by not walking into enemies, enemy
01:39fire, walls, you, and actually being useful.
01:42Infinite also toys with clever-sounding themes like American idealism, choicism, and parallel universism, but never forgets to let you
01:51clear your head by mowing down baddies on a city-spanning rollercoaster.
01:56And it's set in the clouds too, a perfect metaphor for Infinite's lofty ambition and sky-high excellence.
02:02Returning to Earth now, under it in fact, is February's second PS3 offering for the Instant Game Collection, Metro Last
02:09Light.
02:10This dark, edgy, and really quite brilliant first-person shooter is set largely amid the metro tunnels of post-apocalyptic
02:17Russia, with the few times you do venture outdoors requiring the use of a gas mask to avoid inhaling the
02:24game-over-inducing atmosphere.
02:25Clever use of lighting and some breathtaking visuals are also a plus, and if you still haven't played Metro Last
02:31Light, then we suggest rectifying that post-haste.
02:34On to PS Vita now, and Dynasty Warriors Next, a portable installment for a series that's been going so long
02:41you'd have to look at the Hubble Deep Field to see the original.
02:44The fact it's still going strong is testament to how brilliant it is, and Next adds to Dynasty Warriors infectious
02:50brand of history-shaping combat by throwing in touch controls,
02:54enabling you to prod your way through combo flurries and cut down legions of enemies with a simple finger swipe.
03:01Amazing.
03:01And finally for PS Vita comes Modernation Racer's Road Trip, a do-it-yourself kart racer where you can use
03:08the touchscreen to instantly turn your automotive dreams into vivid cartoon reality.
03:13Everything you've made on the PS3 version will be accessible too, meaning there are literally millions of customised tracks, cars,
03:20and characters to enjoy.
03:22Don't forget you have until January 29th to download the games listed on screen now, apart from the PS4 titles
03:29which change over on February 5th, and keep them as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.
03:34What's more, there are heaps of titles in the Instant Game Collection that are going absolutely nowhere.
03:39The amazing Resogun on PS4, Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception, XCOM Enemy Unknown, and LittleBigPlanet Karting on PS3, and Uncharted Golden
03:48Abyss and Gravity Rush on PS Vita, all of which are available at no extra cost.
03:53Insane, I know.
03:55Hit subscribe for your monthly PlayStation Plus update, and for all the latest news and awesome video content across PS4,
04:01PS3, and PS Vita.
04:12I'll see you next time.
