00:11Hi everyone and welcome to Dying Light Developer Tips.
00:15My name is Maciej Binkowski,
00:16I'm Lead Game Designer at Techland.
00:17I prepared a couple of gameplay tips that hopefully
00:19will help you survive in the quarantine.
00:22First of all, learn how to climb.
00:24Press and hold the parkour button
00:26to jump and grab the ledge you're looking at.
00:28Whether you're running, walking
00:30or even standing still, you'll start to climb.
00:33Just aim at the ledge you want to grab.
00:34Try using ziplines too.
00:36You can find them attached to many rooftops across the zone.
00:39They're great for covering great distances
00:41and escaping pursuing zombies.
00:43Speaking of pursuits,
00:45always try to keep a couple of firecrackers in your inventory.
00:48You can use them to lose your pursuers
00:50or divert zombies' attention to sneak past them.
00:53The infected will always focus on firecrackers,
00:55allowing you to basically work right in front of their ugly faces.
00:59And don't forget to arm traps.
01:01They can save your life when the zombies are after you.
01:04Use electrified gates to shake off a pursuit
01:06or use armed cars to distract the zombies.
01:09Remember you've got to level up your survivor rank
01:11to get access to new traps.
01:14Last but not least, unlock additional save zones.
01:17The zones work not only as shelter at night,
01:20but also as the respawn points when you die.
01:23Having few of them unlocked will save your precious time.
