00:12Welcome to our very first let's play style video for Final Fantasy Type 0 HD.
00:19Because Final Fantasy Type 0 HD is a new type of fantasy
00:23which is very different to what you probably expect from a Final Fantasy game
00:27we thought it'd be a good idea to actually show you what the game's like when you're actually going to
00:33play it.
00:34So hopefully you've seen our trailers and you've seen specifically our combat trailer
00:40which gives you a lot of information of how the game actually plays and what you'll be doing in combat.
00:45So let's see what it looks like in an actual in-game combat scenario.
00:50So, be handy if we draw weapons.
00:53Oh, should note that I'll be playing the game on PS4
01:00but the Xbox One version will be pretty much identical
01:05except for the obvious button change prompts and that kind of thing.
01:11So, you can see I have three members of Class Zero in my party.
01:18I've got Machina, Kada and Eight.
01:23And each member of Class Zero uses a very unique weapon
01:29and that defines the different fighting styles and the different play styles.
01:32so Machina you can see has bolt rapiers, two of them.
01:38So he's a very quick melee strike character as you can probably tell.
01:48Now, Type Zero is a very different Final Fantasy game
01:51because everything's real-time.
01:53You can see there's no turn-based combat like traditional Final Fantasy games.
02:02which gives you a very fast-paced combat system.
02:09Just make sure you can avoid some grenades.
02:15So what you can do is you can swap between all three characters on the fly
02:20just by pressing left and right on the D-pad without getting hit in the face.
02:23You can swap between any character as you wish.
02:26and you can see Kada uses a special magic pistol
02:31which naturally gives her a much different fighting style to the likes of Machina.
02:38Now, the symbols you see appearing above enemies like that yellow symbol
02:46are part of two well-timed strikes that you can perform.
02:49If you've seen the combat trailer we put out, you'll know that they're called the Break Sight and Kill Sight
02:56strikes.
02:58And basically what they do is they either deal massive damage, like basically a critical hit,
03:04if you hit the Break Sight insignia, which is the yellow circle,
03:08and the red one is the Kill Sight.
03:11So if you hit an enemy when that symbol appears, you kill them instantly.
03:16So it gives the combat system very much a risk-reward kind of mechanic
03:22because the symbols appear just as an enemy's about to attack.
03:29So you've usually got to kind of almost goad the enemies out.
03:35And of course that puts yourself in a bit of danger.
03:40So the third character out of the eight, who is all about his fifth!
03:45Right in the gut.
03:50So very fast, very agile, close combat.
03:54Speculous.

03:57Now when enemies get defeated, you can see I am extracting something from them.
04:03That's something called Phantoma, which is used...

04:35which does damage to nearby enemies,
04:38and the colour of Phantoma represents the different elemental properties.
04:43So reds are to do with fire magic.

05:35So you can see the names of all the attacks.
05:38So basically, circle is your defence and dodge button,
05:43and the other buttons are either your attacks, regular attack, magic spells, and special abilities.
05:49Now, magic, like most, well, I suppose all other Final Fantasy games, consumed MP.
05:58But your special abilities, that are unique to every character,
06:03and you, ooh, okay, ooh, didn't see that,
06:05which are unique to...
06:07Your special abilities, which are unique to every character,
06:12depletes what we call your ability gauge,
06:15which is that bar above your command list in the bottom right.
06:20So, eight.

08:18everyone, all your other enemies will basically give up.
08:21They will surrender.
08:22And then you can fleece them for items.
08:25So, unfortunately I think...

08:32But, yeah, so, for example, if there was any other troops left standing,
08:35you would be able to approach them and fleece them for items.
08:37But, because they're still alive, you don't get Phantoma from them.
08:42So, you've got to make the decision whether you want to try and end the fight quickly,
08:46take out the officers as quickly as you can, make everyone surrender,
08:50hopefully get some rare items,
08:53or do you just kill everybody for the Phantoma,

08:59makes, you know, the possibility of making it more difficult for yourself
09:01by taking on all the enemies.
