Trascrizione
00:00Il Universim intenzia a dare you the powers of a god
00:03e unleash you upon the universe
00:05to begin forging your galactic empire in the stars.
00:08You have the ability to influence their decisions
00:10and change the way in which your civilization evolves,
00:13like choosing their research path
00:15and what kind of technology they develop.
00:17However, you cannot take direct control of them.
00:20You can attempt to end wars between cities
00:22and help usher in an age of discovery and technological advancement.
00:26Or you can watch as they destroy one another
00:29and bring about an age of chaos.
00:31We like to think of this as organic gameplay,
00:34almost as though you're managing your own ant farm.
00:37The AI will make many of its own decisions,
00:39but you'll still be there to keep them alive and happy.
00:42We believe this makes for a very fun and dynamic gameplay experience.
00:46Your civilization will begin in the Stone Age
00:49and slowly progress until they advance beyond the modern era,
00:52moving into the age of intergalactic exploration and colonization.
00:56You'll play a major role in their development,
00:59particularly in research and evolution.
01:01Research decisions can be challenging at times.
01:04For example, your early people will probably not get very far
01:07without the ability to create fire for warmth and protection.
01:10And when your growing tribe is threatened by a pack of vicious beasts,
01:14maybe inventing the wheel is a milestone that can take a back seat
01:17to researching something like stone weapons.
01:20Buildings and society will evolve as you progress from era to era
01:24and certain special buildings will become available with research into particular technologies.
01:29After placing an epicenter, the heart of a city, on a suitable location,
01:34buildings will slowly begin to develop around it.
01:37They'll be constructed dynamically by your population as their numbers grow.
01:41However, special buildings, like epicenters, can be placed wherever you choose.
01:46In the universe sim, resources play a major role in the game.
01:50They govern the integrity and growth of your civilization.
01:53Resources can be used in various ways.
01:55To create new technologies,
01:57to expand your empire,
01:59to research exciting or life-saving inventions and so much more.
02:03This is what makes intergalactic exploration so important in the space age.
02:08The space era will be the culmination of all your hard work.
02:11This is where you'll begin to discover all the beauty and mercilessness of alien planets.
02:16Every planet you encounter in the game will be as unique and vibrant as the last.
02:21You'll come across planets with varying temperatures and environmental conditions,
02:25as well as a wide range of characteristics that make them incredibly special.
02:30Planets will also undergo the changing of seasons,
02:33which can affect the many environmental biomes on the planet.
02:36This can have a major effect on things like the gathering of food and resources,
02:40as well as the development of buildings.
02:42For instance, you may come across a planet with very little oxygen.
02:46The issue can be resolved by making use of atmosphere generators,
02:50which consume resources,
02:51or you can simply plant more trees,
02:53which generate air far more slowly,
02:55but without consuming resources.
02:56You'll also encounter a variety of different natural resources,
03:00which range from common to rare.
03:02They're what make the colonization process worth it.
03:06Be warned, though.
03:07You've better come prepared.
03:09If adequate research about the planet is not done,
03:12it may result in the untimely demise of your colonization team.
03:16The universum is driven by dynamic events,
03:19natural disasters,
03:21alien visitors,
03:22diseases,
03:23wars,
03:24famine,
03:25and so much more
03:26can be thrown at your civilization at any time.
03:30All of these factors and how you play the game
03:32contribute to population growth and development.
03:35The way in which you fight certain disasters changes from era to era.
03:39Cavemen do not exactly have PhDs in science
03:42and the knowledge to create cures, for instance.
03:45However, you too can trigger disasters
03:48if you're displeased with your civilization's choices.
03:50With every action they perform that displeases you,
03:54you generate wrath,
03:55and then you can unleash your wrath upon them at any time.
03:59Every now and then,
04:00something mysterious may fall upon one of your planets.
04:03You can then prepare an expedition
04:05to investigate these rare occurrences if you so wish.
04:08However, caution is advised.
04:11It may be an incredible gift,
04:13such as new technology,
04:15or a valuable research,
04:16or a deadly virus that can quickly spread through your cities.
04:19Or it can be an explosive compound
04:21that upon disturbing,
04:23wipes out part of the planet.
04:25One more feature that we're really excited to implement
04:27is the Dynamic News System.
04:30It'll keep you informed about important game events
04:32in a humorous way.
04:33We hope to eventually give players the ability
04:35to write their own stories for the game
04:37and share them with the community.
04:39There'll be no DRM for the game whatsoever,
04:42and an internet connection is not required
04:44for activation or play.
04:46However,
04:46an internet connection can allow
04:48for an even more dynamic and entertaining experience
04:50by making things like the community-driven
04:53live news system available,
04:54among other features.
