00:12and I'm joined here by Dan Janotte
00:14the voice of Arno in Assassin's Creed Unity.
00:16We want to know
00:17who Arno is.
00:19Arno is an amazing character.
00:21He's kind of selfish, kind of a brat.
00:23I'll do it my way.
00:25But then there's sort of this tragic incident
00:27that spurs him to action
00:29and he has to man up
00:31he has to fight.
00:32At the beginning he's not an assassin but then
00:35he comes into the Assassin Brotherhood
00:38thinking of it as a means to an end.
00:40It's going to help him
00:41achieve what he wants selfishly
00:43but then being part of the Brotherhood
00:45he realizes that he's part of something much bigger
00:48and on top of all that
00:49he's really quite clever.
00:51He has a lot of those little one-liners
00:53right before or after he does some badass move.
00:56So is that sort of what drew you to this role?
00:59Just watching this character grow
01:00through all of these hardships?
01:02Well what first drew me to the role was that
01:04he's a badass assassin.
01:05But definitely he's got heart.
01:08When I read the script I was really impressed
01:10with the dedication
01:12to telling that kind of emotional story.
01:14To the commitment of the writer of Ubisoft
01:16in general to tell this kind of
01:18complex emotional story.
01:20It's not simple, it's not black and white.
01:23and so to be able to put on the motion capture suit
01:26and really embody the character physically
01:29was such a treat.
01:30It's different than just doing a disembodied voice
01:32in a voice studio.
01:33This way I could really feel who this guy was
01:36and feel him changing in his body.
01:39I love doing that and it certainly helps
01:40the vocal performance too.
01:42And it was so much fun, I got to do
01:44really cool things, you know.
01:46I got to do these action sequences
01:47and these jumps and
01:50maybe I don't do the...
01:51I get stunt guys to do the really crazy stuff.
01:54It's like a boy's dream come true
01:56to get to play in an action movie like that, you know.
