00:22I'm Todd Harris, I'm one of the co-founders and the chief operating officer of Hi-Res Studios.
00:27We are a developer based out of Atlanta, Georgia, about 150 people, and we do online multiplayer
00:34games.
00:34First game was Global Agenda, next game was Tribe Descend, and our third game, which is
00:39growing and which we're showing off here, is called Smite.
00:56My favourite guide is Kali, and she does the best AOE and a lot of damage.
01:02They're also going to be preventing as much damage from coming through, so important focus
01:07and targeting is just all very important in the beginning of the game.
01:11My favourite character is definitely Kuku Kahn, he's a pretty strong character.
01:17Yeah, I played Loki in Smite, it was really good, I got to vanish, backstab the hell out
01:21of everybody, it was really, really fun.
01:23I like playing as Fenrir and Anutin.
01:26Why do you like playing as them?
01:27They're both really strong in there, but they kind of look like fools, which are my favourite
01:32animals.
01:41So Smite's been in development for quite a while, it was important to us to have an
01:45extended beta process so we could work really closely with the community to improve the game.
01:49At this point we're excited that we have a registered player count of over 5 million, and also we're
01:55continuing to expand the game, so of course new geographies, like the Australian server
01:59that we just launched, but also new platforms.
02:02So we're working really hard on a console version of Smite, and in the beginning of the year
02:06we're going to start closed beta for the Xbox One version, and we hope to release that
02:10in the first half of next year.
02:25So one of the cool things about being in Sydney and Melbourne was the meet-ups that we've
02:29done with the community here, I mean these are hardcore Smite fans, they've been playing
02:32and dealing with ping that was between 250 and 400.
02:36I actually met one guy, the super fan, who had this awesome tattoo of Poseidon on his arm,
02:41so that's just cool and it's happy to, it's good to be able to hang out with those folks.
