00:00Is there a risk that Syria could get drawn into this conflict in Lebanon?
00:03We don't see it. I mean, there is contact between President Aoun, Joseph Aoun, and President Shara.
00:10He assured him that they're not going to get involved.
00:15All they're doing now, you may see some Syrian forces on the border.
00:21They're securing their own border.
00:24And there was reports from Reuters, but it got denied by Tom Barak and by the U.S. administration
00:32that they didn't ask Syria to get involved.
00:35And I don't think they will because they have their own problems.
00:39And they have neither the capacity, neither the will, neither the political decision.
00:47And I don't think it will be in their benefit.
00:49We have our army, our Lebanese army.
00:52They can control the eastern border.
00:55So Syrians, they don't have to get involved.
00:57And it's not acceptable by any Lebanese.
01:00You know, we're not looking to see more occupation, whether Israelis or Syrian.
01:06But, you know, the situation gets blown up because Hezbollah took the decision to launch that war.
01:16And we're facing now the consequences.
01:20Where's Hezbollah getting its weaponry from?
01:22We're being told they're firing 100 rockets or so into Israel every day.
01:26They weren't supposed to have any more weapons.
01:28Where did they get them from?
01:30No, they're not getting any new arrival of weapon shipments.
01:37They have it already here.
01:39You know, they have it.
01:40They have some even in South Litani, unfortunately.
01:43And they have it in North Litani, in the Bekaa.
01:46They have plenty of ammunition.
01:48They're secure from their point of view.
01:50And they're in their depot.
01:55So they have enough to be able to go on with that war.
02:03But nothing is coming, neither from the sea or through Syria.
02:08No, the borders are, I think, secure.
02:11And they still have some ammunition from inside Lebanon.
