00:00Hello, my lumpy lip fillers.
00:02Welcome to another episode of Whatcha Packin'?
00:10We are here with Discord Adams, all the way from Florida.
00:14Yes.
00:15So, you're not from Florida.
00:17No, I'm from Ohio.
00:18Okay.
00:19Okay, so what part of Ohio?
00:21Um, from Akron.
00:22Akron, Ohio.
00:22You ended up in Florida.
00:24And where in Florida?
00:24Uh, St. Pete.
00:25St. Pete.
00:26Yes.
00:26Oh, are you Scientologist?
00:27No.
00:28Okay, good.
00:28How did you end up on the west coast of Florida?
00:31I was tired of being cold.
00:34My best friend was living there, and she was, like, kind of going through a little breakup,
00:38and I was tired of being cold.
00:40I was like, well, what if I moved in and helped you pay your rent, get me out of the
00:44winter?
00:45And she was like, yeah, come on down.
00:46I love that.
00:47All right, so let's go back to Akron.
00:50Yes.
00:50Ohio.
00:51Um, you're in school.
00:53What does Little Discord like to do?
00:56Oh, love to go to concerts.
00:57Like, that was, like, all of high school for me was just going to different punk shows.
01:02So how did you find punk rock in Akron, Ohio?
01:05Oh, because I just grew up weird, and so, like, I found weird people, and I grew up, especially,
01:11like, around the era of Rancid.
01:13Uh-huh.
01:13So I found Rancid, then the Sex Pistols, and the Dead Kennedys.
01:16I loved Dead Kennedys so much.
01:19Uh-huh.
01:20And it was just, like, once you find one, you find them all.
01:23Right.
01:23So you're this punk rock kid, and music is a heavy influence because you still play a lot
01:28of instruments.
01:28Yes.
01:29Music is still very much a part of your life.
01:31Was that your goal?
01:32To be a musician?
01:34My goal was, yeah, I always wanted to be a rock star, and finding drag kind of gave me
01:39the avenue of, like, being the rock star that I always wanted to be because I don't have,
01:42like, a particularly, like, amazing singing voice.
01:44But I think recently I kind of found out what my voice can and can't do.
01:48Okay.
01:48But then I, you know, picked up the guitar, and I was like, oh, I can do that.
01:52Okay.
01:52And I can introduce that into drag, which a lot of, you know, girls aren't doing, and
01:56it kind of just gave me my own little, my own little thing that other people weren't
02:01doing that made me stand out.
02:02Punk rock is so drag anyway.
02:03Yeah.
02:04It really is.
02:05If you look and you think, even going back to, like, Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious, who
02:08were butch and macho, we're still very drag.
02:12Oh, absolutely.
02:12Yeah.
02:13Having Vivian Westwood dress them all.
02:14Yes.
02:15Absolutely.
02:15So where did you find drag in that kind of trajectory?
02:20I found drag, honestly, by watching season three and seeing Raja, and Raja changed my
02:27perspective of what I saw as drag, because I had seen drag shows in the bar, but seeing
02:32what Raja was doing, I was like, oh, I could do that, and I want to do that, and so
02:38I kind
02:38of started immediately after seeing that.
02:40Okay.
02:40And did you start doing bars, or did you just start by, like, going out to bars?
02:44So I would paint my face, like, every single day until I looked relatively how I wanted
02:49to look.
02:50And then once I was comfortable with that, I immediately went to the bars and, like, did
02:54the little sign-up shows.
02:55And when did you go, okay, I think I want to be on this show?
02:59Um, I started feeling comfortable enough with thinking that I could do it around season
03:04seven.
03:05So I've been auditioning every year since season seven.
03:07Okay, so, wow.
03:09So it's been a minute.
03:10And, you know, Rue goes over every single audition tape herself and chooses who she wants.
03:16So it's kind of special that she's been watching you until she knew you were ready.
03:20Is drag your only gig right now, and has it been?
03:23No, I am a tattoo artist.
03:24You are?
03:25Yeah.
03:25Oh my gosh.
03:26Do you tattoo on yourself?
03:27Literally most of them are.
03:28Really?
03:29Did you practice on yourself?
03:30I practiced with my boyfriend, and he's so brave.
03:32He's like, yeah.
03:33He's like, I've never seen you be bad at anything, so just do it.
03:36How long have you been tattooing?
03:37Since 2020.
03:38So I taught myself in the middle of the pandemic, because I was worried that tattoo shops were
03:42never going to open again.
03:43And I was like, what would I do?
03:45I better teach myself.
03:46Do you tattoo in drag?
03:47Um, I should.
03:49Yeah, you should.
03:50So let's talk about your walk discord.
03:53Did you know that your walk was different?
03:56No.
03:57You want to know how I learned to walk?
03:59Yeah.
03:59So my partner, Gidget, um, she put a iPhone in front of me on one of those, like, walking
04:05treadmills, and we just pulled up, like, 90s supermodels, and she just put me in heels
04:10on the treadmill and just told me to, like, keep watching the video and keep walking.
04:13So when I walked on the runway, I was like, I'm definitely Naomi Campbell.
04:17Like, you cannot tell me otherwise.
04:19I look so fierce.
04:21And then the first day, you were like, your walk is so intense.
04:23And I was like, yeah, I am intense.
04:24What a compliment.
04:25And then somebody else said it was intense, and I was like, now I'm starting to question
04:29things.
04:31You know, the thing about it, I love it probably for all the wrong reasons, if I'm being completely
04:36honest, but I still love it.
04:38I think it's because you lean backwards.
04:41So far back.
04:41Yeah, that it looks like you're, like, it's almost like your hips are leading the way,
04:45which, again, I love it nonetheless because it's so weird.
04:49It's just different.
04:50It looks like you don't know how to walk.
04:54Well, I think I don't.
04:55I think you're onto something there.
04:57You know, you don't think.
04:58You just walk, and then yours somehow do this.
05:01And it's endearing.
05:03It's cute.
05:04It's funny.
05:04It's crazy.
05:05I couldn't wait for you to walk each time because each time.
05:09So it did its job.
05:10It did its job, and I didn't know which walk I was going to get.
05:13You went home on the makeover challenge, correct?
05:15Did you understand the critique?
05:18You might not agree, but did you understand?
05:20Um, here's what I'll say.
05:22Okay.
05:22I would have preferred the critiques to be about how f***ing basic those outfits were
05:27because the outfits sucked.
05:29They were fine.
05:30They were fine.
05:31I don't think we looked related.
05:32Right.
05:32Because here's what I was thinking.
05:33I was like, in every house, there's only, like, one punk sibling.
05:36You know what I mean?
05:37You know, there's not usually, like, a family of punk siblings.
05:40So, like, yeah, one's going to be preppy.
05:41One's going to be punk.
05:42That makes sense.
05:44I buy that.
05:45I understand.
05:45You know, for me, I'm very stickler with it.
05:47I'm the one who's the toughest with it, but let me tell you why.
05:50I'm an adopted kid, so I understand not looking like your brothers and sisters, right?
05:55I didn't look like anybody in my family.
05:57That's fine.
05:58Our chosen family.
05:59I buy that, too.
06:00I get it.
06:01But for me, this is a drag competition.
06:03This is a drag challenge.
06:04Yeah.
06:04It's not twins, but can you look somewhat related?
06:08Somewhat?
06:09Yeah, we had the same face.
06:10No.
06:12No, Discord, no.
06:13Listen, Discord, the world is getting you now.
06:16Yes.
06:17The competition season 18 might be over, but the world is getting to have Discord.
06:22Yeah, I honestly, I didn't cry.
06:23I was, like, so proud of everything I did the entire season that I was like, this is fine.
06:27Like, I'm in the top six.
06:28I showed so many different sides of me.
06:30It was so important to me because, like, my fashion is so severe and so serious, but
06:35I'm so stupid.
06:36And so, like, when I got to be the Pope, like, for the Snatch Game, I was like, they get
06:40to
06:40see how dumb I am, and that was important to show as well.
06:43And it was fantastic.
06:44I had so much fun on the Snatch Game.
06:47Let's talk about these gorgeous looks.
06:49Yes.
06:49Now, the middle one we got to see.
06:51Yes.
06:52Obsessed with that.
06:53It was one of my favorite ones to show.
06:55Obsessed.
06:55Who made it?
06:56My partner and I.
06:56So, did you do most of your stuff?
06:58Literally everything that you saw on the runway was made by me and my partner, Travis, slash
07:02Kidget Von Adams.
07:03Oh, and Travis does?
07:05Drag as well.
07:05Oh, my goodness.
07:06And you both do them together.
07:07And you don't want to kill each other?
07:10No, we are best friends.
07:11Like, we love each other so much.
07:13We've been together for 13 years.
07:14We've made stuff together.
07:15Like, we're, like, the perfect, like, little art, like, fashion house.
07:18Do you have other Adams children?
07:19No.
07:20It's just you two.
07:21Are you looking for drag children?
07:22No, it's dangerous.
07:23In what way?
07:24Like, what if they're ugly?
07:26Well, that's...
07:27What if they don't listen to me?
07:28You have to race, then.
07:29Well, no, I don't.
07:30How old are you?
07:3134.
07:32You still have time.
07:33Yeah.
07:33That might change when you're 44.
07:35Okay.
07:35So, let's talk about these other ones.
07:37You love a safety pin.
07:38Yes.
07:39That's amazing.
07:39That's an homage to Moschino.
07:42Tell me about it.
07:42I painted my name all over it.
07:44We put the safety pins all over it.
07:45I was like, if I were to wear a gown on Drag Race, I would want it to look like
07:49a motorcycle
07:49jacket or, like, a punk jacket that's painted all over.
07:52Tell me about this hooker clown outfit.
07:55Yes.
07:55So, this was going to be a reveal.
07:56I was going to start out in this really big, beautiful, like, clown gown that we stitched
08:01a stick into.
08:03So, when I stepped out of it, it was going to stay standing.
08:05And then I was going to take the hat off, and then a lasso ponytail was going to fall
08:09out of it that we stitched magnets into.
08:12And I was going to lasso the dress and then walk it back up.
08:16And then the nose turns into a ball gag.
08:18Of course it does.
08:19Are you so happy that you did it?
08:21I couldn't be happier.
08:23I, when I tell you I had fun the entire time, I, the girls were like, how are you sleeping?
08:28I was like, I'm just having a good time.
08:30Aw.
08:30Like, I just, I go there, I treat RuPaul like I've known RuPaul my whole life.
08:33Like, that's my best friend in the room.
08:35Of course there was, like, stressors, but I would say overall, I just had fun.
08:38Before we go, I want to talk about this purse, because I know you had it on the main stage.
08:41Yes.
08:42Did you kids make this too?
08:43This is one of the things that I did not make.
08:45Is that your face?
08:46It's my face.
08:47Okay.
08:47So this was for the animal attraction runway, and I wanted to flip the roles of what if
08:52an animal was wearing a human, because, like, we use animals for, in ways that we shouldn't,
08:58so I wanted it to look like, no, like, I'm an alligator carrying a human handbag.
09:03Who needs a Birkin when you can have a face?
09:04Okay, that's what I'm saying.
09:05A face.
09:06Right?
09:06It's been so fun talking to you.
09:09So fun.
09:09And so fun judging you and watching your fashions, and I can't wait to meet Gidget and maybe
09:15see her on the show.
09:16I'm going to really push for that.
09:18She would be really, really, really good at her.
09:19Oh, I think that's adorable.
09:21And I'm really excited for the world to get their claws into, because you're going to be
09:24I'm so excited.
09:25Traveling in love, and I can't wait to hear the designers reach out to you and get that
09:29walk even more famous than it is now, so we can all laugh with the biggest hearts filled
09:34with love.
09:36And thank you all for watching another episode of Whatcha Packin'.
09:39I'll see you next time.
09:41Bye.
09:42I see the sun shining bright.
09:44Ain't a cloud in the sky.
09:46It's a good day.
09:47So can you sew?
09:48Yeah.
09:49I just chose not to.
09:51The whole entire season.
09:52Wow.
09:52No.
09:53All right.
09:54I mean, I don't got any예요.
