00:13Kota Baru, Macang, Jerli, near Kampung Rahmat, Bukit Bunga, on Friday.
00:19Its director, Mohamed Miswari Abdullah, said the department takes the spread of inaccurate
00:25information seriously, stressing that allegations of JPJ personnel chasing a lorry, as seen in a
00:3234-second viral video, are false and baseless. He clarified that the JPJ vehicle was on official
00:40patrol under Ops Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 at the time, and that personnel had complied with
00:47standard operating procedures, SOPs, and traffic regulations. He added that the case is under
00:54a police investigation and urged the public to avoid speculation or sharing unverified
01:01information. Mohamed Miswari also conveyed the department's condolences to the victim's family.
01:08In the 4.30 p.m. incident, Mursid Azmi, 25, the son of Astro Awani senior editor Husna Yusop,
01:16was killed in a collision involving two vehicles. Initial reports indicate that the victim's car,
01:22travelling from Ipoh to Rantau Panjang, veered into the opposite lane and collided with the right
01:29side of a JPJ SUV.
