00:07where you try to guide Yarny, a little character made of yarn

00:22Yarny is made from a single strand of wound yarn
00:24which is attached to something at the start of the game
00:27and the farther away from that yarn he gets, the more the yarn unravels.

00:35so you can tie it all back together.
00:38And those basic yarn interactions, they're simple but they're very useful.
00:42You can throw the front end of the yarn like a grappling hook
00:44or you can grab the yarn that trails behind you
00:47and you can also attach it to things.
00:50And those 3 simple things, they open up a ton of possibilities.
00:54They let you climb on the yarn,
00:56you can swing on it, you can hoist things,
00:59you can tether things together, connect them.
01:02You can grab things that are out of reach
01:04or you can make bridges or ramps or even slingshots
01:08that you can use to launch Yarny high into the air.
01:12The gameplay really is like a sandbox.
01:14It's easy to interact with on a basic level
01:16but it lets you do really powerful and complex things.
01:20We try to have the same approach to puzzle design.
01:23We take parts that are simple on their own
01:26but we put them together as beautifully as we can to form a complex whole.
01:31We want gameplay that challenges you in many ways.
01:34We want to test your cleverness.
01:36Some puzzles require you to get really creative with how you use the yarn.
01:39And some puzzles have multiple different solutions.
01:43Some puzzles require strategy and forethought.
01:46What looks like an obvious solution might turn out to be a trap
01:49because you only have a limited amount of yarn.
01:52Some parts, they will test your courage and your agility.
01:56The world can be a dangerous place for someone as small and fragile as Yarny.
02:01Challenge really is an important part of the experience.
02:04Yarny is on this quest to mend a broken bond.
02:06And mending things takes effort.
02:08It doesn't happen without challenge.
