00:14Welcome to the Smite God Reveal for Xenjian, The Relentless.
00:27Hear the legends of the Headless Warrior from the East.
00:32Long ago, three emperors warred for supremacy of a young nation.
00:38Barely clinging to dominance, the Flame Emperor deployed his greatest general, the warrior
00:45poet, Xenjian.
00:47Xenjian returned to his lord in defeat, but with spirit unbroken.
00:52He begged to ride out and meet the enemy, but the Flame Emperor refused.
00:57Unwilling to give in despite the loss of his lord, Xenjian rallied the Flame army for a final
01:03siege of the Yellow Emperor's Sky Palace.
01:07Xenjian met the Yellow Emperor in single combat.
01:10The two titans trading blows up upon the mountaintop.
01:14High upon the snow-capped peak, the Yellow Emperor's blade at last struck true, beheading Xenjian.
01:24Some unknown days later, there at the base of the mountain, Xenjian awoke.
01:32A new face burned from his chest.
01:37The fire to battle renewed.
01:40The now headless Xenjian rose to fight again.
01:44For Xenjian, there is no defeat.
01:48There is no death.
01:50As long as there is a battle to be fought, he will never surrender.
02:05Xenjian's passive is Smoldering Rage.
02:09He gains stacks of Smoldering Rage each time he hits an enemy with an ability.
02:14For each stack of rage Xenjian has, he gains HP 5.
02:20These fade after 18 seconds.
02:23Xenjian's first ability is Furious Roar.
02:27He shouts from his chest with great force, damaging enemies and reducing their basic
02:32attack damage.
02:33Enemy gods take a percentage of max health damage over time as well.
02:37This ability is one of his main clearing tools and can be used to stack his passive very quickly.
02:44Xenjian's second ability is Hook Slammed.
02:48This ability has a two-part chain.
02:50He first launches an attack with his axe knocking the opponents into the air before slamming
02:56them into the ground rooting them.
02:58It is worth noting you can use the second part on a different enemy from the one you knocked
03:03into the air.
03:05Xenjian's third ability is Sky Cutting Axe.
03:08Xenjian leaps forward dealing damage to enemies where he lands.
03:12He can choose to leap again within two seconds.
03:15While in the air, Xenjian gains protections which are refreshed if he connects with a target.
03:21Using another ability in between leaps will not allow you to use the second leap.
03:26This ability makes a great engage tool to break the enemy lines.
03:32Xenjian's ultimate is Whirlwind of Rage and Steel.
03:36He spins his axe three times in succession, sweeping up his enemies.
03:41After the three spins, he then throws anyone that he had caught.
03:45This skill allows Xenjian to catch the enemy team and throw them into a bad position.
03:51Look to pair this with Sky Cutting Axe to get you into position before using this ability.
04:03Xenjian excels at getting into the middle of fights and disrupting the enemy team.
04:07He can chase down targets who are trying to flee and fling them back toward his team.
04:12Pair him with gods that require large amounts of setup, like Anhur, Cupid, or Kukulkan.
04:19His crowd control is great for teammates to capitalize on.
04:23Xenjian has some amazing combo potential.
04:27As an example, try following up your ultimate toss by chaining it to your hook slam knockup.
04:33You will need to time it so you hit them the second they hit the ground.
04:37As a variation, you can go for more damage at the risk of the opponent being able to get away.
04:43Follow up your ultimate with Furious Roar as quickly as possible, straight into Hook Slam.
04:50When trying to get onto the enemy hunter, try to connect your Furious Roar into a Sky Cutting Axe.
04:56This will give you protection and reduce their ability to hurt you with basic attacks, forcing
05:02them into an uncomfortably close encounter.
05:05Xenjian blinks in, capturing Kepri and Hu Yi with his ultimate.
05:09As they are being spun helplessly, Xenjian directs their landing positions toward Artemis.
05:14Hu Yi escapes, but not for long, as Xenjian's leap allows him to close the distance and finish
05:20what was started.
05:25When playing Xenjian, you are going to want to start with a Point Imperious Roar.
05:31This will help you clear the wave and poke enemy gods.
05:35Follow this up with a Point in Hook Slam for early control and Sky Cutting Axe for mobility.
05:42After this, you are going to want to prioritize your ultimate and Furious Roar.
05:46Players can choose to max either Hook Slam for CC or Sky Cutting Axe for protections last,
05:53depending on their playstyle.
05:54When supporting, you will want to start with Watcher's Gift for extra gold and sustain.
06:01Follow this up with Shoes of Focus to allow for trades more often.
06:05After this, you want to get Sovereignty, Heartward Amulet, and Mid Guardian Mail.
06:10These items will make you quite tanky while also augmenting your anti-basic attack abilities.
06:16Finally, Winged Blade will remove slows that would otherwise stop you from catching opponents.
06:40and is also behind the test.
