00:08The Stone Age is a very primitive time where man had to rely on a lot of different tools in
00:13order to survive and to hunt.
00:15And so around 13,000 years ago, man started to work with other animal, wolves, in order to hunt down
00:22savage beasts like mammoth and this kind of thing.
00:25And so we looked at what we had in Far Cry and historically we have a very rich wildlife and
00:31we started to investigate the possibility for the player to tame the wild beasts that we would create in Oros.
00:38All the beasts have their place, depending on how the player really wants to approach situations.
00:44With the canines, you have a beast that will explore for you, who will alert you to nearby danger and
00:50growl.
00:51Felines are known for being stealthy, so if you're that kind of tactical stealth player, a feline is your best
00:56choice for beasts.
00:58The bear is your quintessential tank, it's going to take all kinds of aggro off of you if you encounter
01:02hostile enemies in the world.
01:05And then lastly we have the honey badger, and the honey badger is really in a league of his own.
01:09You can send them, you know, to take out a small village, you can use them to distract enemies, you
01:14can use them to hunt, so I think it really opens up the types of gameplay that you can do.
01:19I was playing last night and I had a great moment where there was a small village with a couple
01:22of people, and I just went in with my saber-toothed tiger, and just slowly, one by one, we were
01:28picking out enemies.
01:29It was just such a good feeling.
01:31In Far Cry, when you come across a situation, you always want to recon it first, and you can do
01:38that from your point of view as Takkar, but you can also send in your owl who is going to
01:42act as your recon tool.
01:43He can view outposts from above, he can mark enemies, he can bomb enemies if he wishes, and the owl
01:49also has a specialized aerial attack.
01:54Sometimes they feel like they're more aware of what's happening than you are, so often you're going to be walking
01:59around and you see nothing, and then suddenly you see your beast reacting to something.
02:02The bear, for example, is going to stand on its back legs and it's going to growl and scare those
02:06animals away without you even needing to do anything.
02:09It's a very different experience because usually in Far Cry, it's a little bit more lonely, it's you against everything,
02:15so the ability to have your beast at your side, it's very rewarding.
02:19You now have a companion, you have a friend, you have a protector that will travel with you through the
02:23land and help you fight for survival.
02:27What makes, I think, Primal very special is that ability to have the animals. They're an extension of yourself, and
02:33they are, I think, your ultimate weapon.
02:44What makes, I think, your Linus was a good person, who's a good person...
02:45What makes, I think, your anني, my hand, my love, my talent, and my success, and my life.
02:49I think, your mother is a good person, who's a good person, who's a really good person.
02:49What makes, if you enjoy the life of your mouth and you are a Christian, who's a Christian.
02:51Yes, I can walk the place at school.
