00:02Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban raised the prospect of further actions against Ukraine on Friday,
00:08a day after he doubled down on his veto against the European Union's 90 billion euro loan.
00:46Tensions between Hungary and Ukraine have escalated in recent weeks into a bitter feud over Hungary's access to Russian oil
00:54through the Drushba pipeline,
00:55which was damaged in what Ukraine says was a Russian drone strike.
00:59Orban, however, insists that Ukraine has purposely sabotaged the pipeline to orchestrate an energy crisis ahead of a tight election.
01:08EU leaders rebuked what they called unacceptable behavior by Hungary akin to blackmail following an EU summit on Thursday,
01:16accusing Orban of holding up critical aid and undermining EU decision-making in an effort to win an election at
01:22home.
01:25Israel and Iran traded airstrikes early Friday in the midst of a war that has sent shockwaves through the global
01:31economy
01:32and risked drawing Iran's Arab neighbors directly into the conflict.
01:36The exchange came as millions of Iranians observed Nauru's, the Persian New Year holiday and tradition dating back millennia.
01:44As Israel pounded Tehran with airstrikes, activists reported hearing strikes around the capital, Tehran,
01:51and many Iranians stayed indoors, abandoning the usual travel or gatherings this year.
01:57In Israel, local media reported blasts across Jerusalem with sirens and booms sounding across the city.
02:04The new attacks came a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to refrain from more strikes on a
02:12key Iranian gas field.
02:13Israel acted alone against the Slavia gas compound.
02:18Fact number two, President Trump asked us to hold off on future attacks, and we're holding out.
02:25Meanwhile, Iran stepped up its attacks on its Gulf neighbors with the United Arab Emirates UAE reporting heavy explosions in
02:33Dubai early Friday
02:34as its air defenses intercepted incoming fire over the city.
02:38Authorities in Kuwait reported two oil refineries on fire, and Saudi Arabia said its Samref refinery in the Red Sea
02:46port city of Yambu was hit.
02:49Iran's attacks, which it calls, quote, retaliatory, came as Muslims observed Ida al-Fatir at the end of the Holy
02:55Muslim fasting month of Ramadan,
02:57and mosques across the Middle East made their first call to prayers.
03:07The International Energy Agency is urging governments to take measures to reduce oil demand.
03:13They are calling on governments to push remote working, encourage people to take public transport, limit car use in major
03:20cities, and reduce speed limits.
03:23The agency also suggests that cutting back on air travel where alternatives are available could help significantly.
03:31Since the United States and Israel launched military strikes against Iran at the end of February, oil prices have surged
03:38above $100 per barrel.
03:41Analysts speculate that these prices could even double if the situation does not de-escalate.
03:47Last week, the IEA agreed to release 400 million barrels of oil from emergency reserves,
03:53but officials warned that the world cannot rely on this supply alone to stabilize markets.
03:58The agency said the resumption of transit through the Strait of Hormuz is now the single most important action to
04:05return to stable oil and gas flows.
04:12Every day of war with Iran stops international tourists from spending €550 million in the Middle East,
04:20according to the World Travel and Tourism Council.
04:24Many are now looking to Europe as a safe destination.
04:28WTTC estimates that the Middle East accounts for 5% of global international arrivals and 14% of international transit
04:37traffic.
04:38Hence, the blow to tourism in the Middle East opens up both an opportunity and a risk for Europe to
04:44absorb some of this flow of travelers.
04:46One of the competitive advantage of the European continent is security, according to the CEO of the European Travel Commission.
04:54Mediterranean destinations, particularly Spain, would be some of the main beneficiaries of this situation, he said.
05:01In addition to that, Europeans might choose to spend their holiday closer to home,
05:06rather than traveling long haul if flight routes become longer or more expensive.
05:14Denmark and its allies reportedly deployed troops to Greenland in January because they feared a U.S. invasion,
05:21Danish broadcaster DR has reported.
05:24DR said it had seen a military operations order dated the 13th of January,
05:29which served as the basis for the deployment of Danish forces in the autonomous Danish territory
05:34as tensions spiked over U.S. President Donald Trump's bid to annex it.
05:40The document described an operation organizing the defense of Greenland
05:44immediately after the U.S. operation in Venezuela to oust President Nicolás Maduro.
05:50In January, several EU nations, including France, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and others,
05:56sent troops to Greenland under a Danish-led NATO exercise dubbed Arctic Endurance.
06:01But several military officials told DR that it was a real deployment and not an exercise.
06:08Trump has repeatedly said he believes the U.S. must control Greenland to ensure its national security
06:14and long refused to rule out the use of military force to get it.
06:19After several intense weeks of aggressive remarks that plunged the alliance into its deepest crisis in years,
06:25Trump backed down from his threats in late January,
06:28announcing that he had reached a framework agreement on Greenland with NATO's secretary-general,
06:34the details of which remain vague.
06:40The French Navy intercepted and boarded a tanker in the Mediterranean Sea on Friday.
06:46President Emmanuel Macron said it is linked to Russia's sanctioned Shadow Fleet,
06:51which ships oil in violation of international sanctions over Moscow's war on Ukraine.
06:55The tanker Dana is suspected of operating under a false flag designation.
07:00The interception took place in the western Mediterranean
07:03and was carried out in cooperation with allies such as the United Kingdom.
07:08The tanker was diverted and escorted by the French Navy to an anchorage point for further checks.
07:13The case was referred to a prosecutor in the port of Marseille.
07:21The teenage daughter of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un was seen driving a tank alongside her father during a
07:28military drill.
07:30In footage released by state media,
07:32Kim and his daughter are both dressed in black leather jackets they are often seen wearing.
07:37The girl appears to be driving the tank with her head sticking out from the hatch.
07:42Kim, on the other hand, is sitting on top of the tank, smiling and surrounded by other soldiers.
07:49The latest footage adds to speculation that Kim's daughter,
07:53who is reported to be aged around 13, is being groomed as his successor.
07:58In recent months, the teenager has been frequently seen accompanying her father at high-profile military events,
08:05including at weapon tests, military parades and factory openings.
08:13Two of the world's largest bot networks were shut down in a major international operation.
08:19German, US and Canadian cybercrime specialists joined forces to dismantle ISURU and KimWolf,
08:26suspected of being behind major online attacks.
08:29A botnet is a network of computers or connected devices that have been infected with malware
08:34and are controlled secretly by an operator who uses them for malicious purposes like attacks or data theft.
08:41ISURU consisted of a network of several million compromised online devices,
08:46such as routers and webcams, according to a statement.
08:49The KimWolf botnet involved several million infected devices, primarily Android TV boxes.
08:56Two suspected administrators of the networks, who reside in Germany and Canada,
09:01have been identified and now face legal consequences.
09:04The cyber criminals extorted their victims, who in some cases suffered losses of tens of thousands of dollars.
09:16Dozens of beloved dogs and cats arrived in Athens alongside their owners on a special repatriation flight
09:21for Greeks with pets, who had been stranded because of the war in the Middle East.
09:27Heartwarming scenes unfolded at Athens airport as the adorable animals excitedly leapt about
09:31after being released from their carriers.
09:34Pet owners were extremely emotional.
09:38To me, my pet, my cat is my family.
09:41There is no chance I'm going to leave him behind.
09:43And right now, the airlines that serve the United Arab Emirates,
09:48they don't accept pets because of the situation.
09:51They don't accept pets in cabin and they didn't accept pets in cargo.
09:54There are limited spots for pets in cargo.
09:58And they only opened that late last week.
10:00So it is very, very difficult to fly out the country with your pets.
10:04The flight had been delayed for several days due to drone attacks near Abu Dhabi airport.
10:09In the end, it departed with 101 passengers and 45 pets on board.
10:13Our pets are not pets, they are part of our family.
10:20And this is why the Greek government has done it today.
10:24The pets and men came to Greece with safety.
10:34French archaeologists have discovered five new garlic-seeded burials at an excavation site in Dijon town center.
10:42While barely 75 skeletons in this position have been found anywhere in the world,
10:47the latest discovery brings to 20 the number found in the city, famed for its mustard.
10:53All contained men seated facing west and devoid of any personal belongings,
10:59except for a black stone armband that helped date their deaths.
11:04Eighteen such graves were found near or beneath the asphalt of the playground at the Josephine Baker Elementary School in
11:12Dijon.
11:13Over the past 30 years, the city of Dijon has become accustomed to finding traces of the Gaulish people in
11:20its upsells.
11:21It remains to be seen what the significance of this type of burial might be.
11:26Sacrifice or honor?
11:28The killing of enemies?
11:29For now, archaeologists are not favoring any particular theory.
11:33The body of the stem in a different mystery too.
11:33So to me, I also have toeraean was a biography.
11:33It's actually the formula of the self- Harriet at the sleeve.
