00:02she's rude I started with nine pairs I won't tolerate it lady now just six
00:11remain I'm free it's just all gonna be wrong your world is a bit like whoa
00:19while some couples bonded who am I to judge what they choose to do I'm really
00:25proud of her I was wrong to say some people don't want help so thank you for
00:29showing me others struggled to overcome their differences I do genuinely believe
00:34I can change anyone's mind I voted for brexit hell Jesus Christ get me away no
00:43actually not now as the experiment steps up a gear it kind of felt a little bit
00:50romantic the couples dig deeper in a bid to survive if I didn't have that help
00:56have been dead we're in prison which will be the last pair standing
01:00and claim the hundred thousand pound prize
01:18at the start of this experiment all my pairs were perfect strangers chosen to reflect a divided Britain
01:26you only have to turn on the TV or go on social media or pick up a newspaper to see
01:31the world is a pretty
01:32fractured place right now but I believe that if only we can get people to sit down and communicate
01:37one-to-one then we'll find out we have a lot more in common than we think to win this
01:45competition the
01:46couples will have to not just get past their differences but actually learn about their partner
01:55in Enfield North London it's been nearly a week since barmaid Tilly was handcuffed to millionaire
02:01businessman Anthony over their time together Tilly isn't convinced Anthony has been listening as much as
02:07he's been talking I was washed out yesterday but I found the cleaning therapeutic really good and the bar I
02:14love that I've always wanted to do that after this I'd like to do a session entertaining people and serving
02:20them because they seem to like me
02:23Anthony wants to sit there and and talk about himself non-stop I think if the competition is based on
02:33getting to know each other then yeah he better get to know about me and he's about to get ready
02:37for my autobiography we're going to spend the entire night talking about me please don't interrupt me please don't tell
02:42me listen please shut the fuck up and listen to my life where is my red book
02:51I think I think I've found out more about you than you have about me really yeah 100% I
02:56mean you talk a lot
02:59you're disappointed about that if it stops us getting further in the competition then yeah
03:06what do my sisters do for that um um I'm they're in the care world no
03:17I know what your mother did she's a she was a national health uh front of house
03:25um I've asked about your father twice and I backed off because you said don't don't ask me that yet
03:34my dad fell down these days in this house oh and died
03:41he was on life support machine for two days and he died on my 16th birthday
03:47he dropped down these stairs yeah and it was absolutely fucking horrendous we were all here
03:54it was absolute hell on earth it was a huge part of my life uh I think it's shaped me
04:04in how I deal
04:05with grief I can grin and bear quite a lot I think I'm quite strong like that not everybody's living
04:14the life of Riley but most people get to know my background my story they get to learn why I
04:22am the
04:22way that I am I'm hard exterior soft interior for sure I'm very experienced in grief because I'm
04:30fucking surrounded by all the time what a horrific thing to have happened terrible thing dreadful thing
04:40today was really very moving I was aware her father was no longer with us I have always said
04:46there's many things that I need to discover about Tilly but knowing when to open the the door on
04:52somebody's inner life it surely is a question of timing this was a real eye-opener for me and it
04:59shows we made a connection which was lovely in the stunning Yorkshire countryside for another of my
05:09couples there's the sound of sweet sweet music I didn't know whether I have to sing back I didn't
05:26know whether to blow him a kiss what's going on my heart and DNA is in Yorkshire tell me about
05:41your
05:42life in Yorkshire it's like England used to be which is quite nice still I was in the British army
05:4615
05:47years and I served the Union flag we do have an immigration issue in the UK to be British is
05:53being
05:53born here I speak the truth I'm a Yorkshireman and I tell people what I think that's just me
06:00I'm handcuffing Bob to 38 year old inner city youth worker Chris I love London I know sometimes
06:07everyone's like oh London's dead and everything I'm like yeah it just depends on how you're looking at
06:10it would you be able to reach across any divide you think I would like to hope so but I
06:14don't like
06:14disrespect Great Britain is a multicultural country a lot of people's like oh why don't you just go back
06:19to where you come from I'm like last time I checked like I live here I work with young people
06:25trying
06:25to get them back into education what's your reason for wanting to do this why are you here so I
06:30want my
06:30young people to be able to see me conducting myself in the best way that is the best reason I've
06:35heard
06:35so far for someone coming on this show so a proud Yorkshireman worried about immigration with a Londoner
06:49who loves his city's diversity so how are you feeling Bob yeah great I'm looking forward to it
06:54the pair are starting on Chris's patch this is dinner and he's keen to get to know his partner
07:01over his favorite takeaway well have you been to a chicken shop before I've never had a check away
07:06you've never had a takeaway I can cook I'm always trying to be honest fair I've got a lot of
07:15loyalty
07:15within me hopefully my partner they'll be the same if we're gonna both put ourselves into this then we
07:20have to be open it's the best thing we can do or you won't really be doing the experience so
07:26what
07:27do you do for a living Bob what what is it that you do I I I I prostitute my
07:33time to helping others
07:38is there anything that you would like to ask me since starting this journey where we're up where I live
07:43no I knew what to expect with the the terra firma the environment yeah because I've lived in London
07:51right now I'm not getting a two-way street we're meant to be working together we're meant to be
07:56finding out each other in a bid to get Bob to open up youth worker Chris tells him some of
08:03the issues
08:04he encounters at work so when you see someone walking down the street and you see a young boy and
08:08he's got a
08:09hoodie on and all the rest of it you might think okay this boy is acting like he's a gangster
08:13surely
08:13you can get yourself a job how if I don't have the correct education how if I don't even some
08:19of
08:19these young boys don't know how to spell it spell their name you know yeah these houses just take
08:23your mind off a little bit Georgian townhouses beautiful again different level to what we've
08:28just come you know three stories absolutely gorgeous absolutely beautiful inside every single
08:33time I'm having a deep conversation about my life how I brought up he will just mention something
08:37else there's something going on which he ain't telling me and it seems like we could easily
08:42walk away from this experience not knowing nothing about each other people don't look
08:46after the frontage anyway I'll be cutting those weeds down as I've ever lived here always looked
08:50after the front of my house every one of my couples has been matched in the hope they can gain
09:00something from their partner but while some pairs seem to be making real progress in the rolling hills
09:10of Hampshire I have to call every single piece of rag walk the yellow flower by hand horse trainer
09:17Claire and model Bambi have had a slightly bumpier ride there's still some left there
09:28so far the pair's very different approaches to work oh I just didn't have this on my 2025 bingo card
09:34have been causing friction I want out get the fucking handcuffs off now
09:41it's been very frustrating slowing down for Bambi I haven't actually been myself she's constantly
09:47wanting to get her makeup get a mirror you're not taking two hours to brush your hair we've got to
09:53go come on feeling a little bit stressed today I think obviously it's quite the emotional rollercoaster
09:59that we are on Claire has one setting full speed ahead there's no negotiation on that I think
10:05there's a lot of things about Claire still to learn with Claire still struggling with Bambi's more
10:14laid-back approach normally I wouldn't cut it up like this but well I would imagine not yeah right
10:18Bambi wants to discover what drives her handcuffed partner you work hard yeah I don't have that drive
10:27because I never had to have it I had a very nice childhood I never wanted for anything
10:32you've been brought up in a way where you've been cocooned and you've been protected because
10:37of my upbringing and it was you know I my mum abandoned me as a baby and stuff like that
10:43and
10:43do you think that's why you keep so busy at the farm yeah definitely so I'm quite tarnished
10:47probably you know a bit most people say probably quite broken but I'm I'm I'm so long on the game
10:53now it's never shown emotion as a child never cuddle no one ever said I love you
10:56you know that's gonna make me cry but that's why I lock it there you know it's all right um
11:06um that's why I've got like this harsh exterior of course I'm very soft really yeah my work is my
11:13only safe place I had a very tricky upbringing and if I hadn't have had my work my sanity would
11:19have
11:19left the building a long time ago anyone is capable of doing what they want if you basically just have
11:25the determination I'm really proud of what I've achieved in my life everything I've done has
11:30been off of my own back you know and I I said to my dad and if I left home
11:35at 14 oh you're never
11:36going to achieve anything I went I'm going to be one of the best professional riders this country's
11:40ever seen and that's why my work ethic I've done every profession I've been the only female
11:44hot carrot in the whole of England just to get my dad you've got so many accolades well done
11:50I completely sympathize with what she was going through it was hard watching her get upset she is
11:55such a strong woman and she's so impressive it's wild like it's it's phenomenal to be honest I like to
12:01think that we have bonded it's amazing that you've been able to overcome all that look how far you've come
12:07and you can thank only yourself I've achieved everything on my own yes I'm really proud of that
12:23with the experiment in full swing the six remaining couples are still discovering new things about the
12:29person they've been chained to 24 hours a day in London youth worker Chris is introducing former
12:44soldier Bob to his family this is my beautiful nan hello darling how are you what's your name my name
12:50this is mom Bob pleased to meet you darling pleased to meet you too despite Chris's best efforts Bob's
12:58yet to give much away about his life I think that he's just skimming the surface I don't understand
13:04his intentions yet but I definitely know he's holding back as if I could remember that face my nan
13:12said she's seen your face before on telly I haven't seen you seen Bob on telly yeah yeah really really
13:19I'm good like that she's just seeming to see me determined to find out more about who he's been
13:30handcuffed to Chris decides to google him interesting what's that right well I just looked you up former
13:43reform candidate dropped over racist comment black people and Britain should get off their lazy arse and
13:52stop acting like savages that's it yeah that's a statement of the press issue that I said well I
13:57read something on Facebook I witnessed a riot in London was appalled with what was happening in my in
14:02my capital city what's with the the terminology of black savages you're talking about when it is a
14:10bloody racist well everything's racist if you want it to be I think I just found out boys borderline
14:15racist I'm actually quite disgusted just saying black I I I group underneath that in your eyes um am I
14:26less
14:30than you it needed to know what I said because it was going to come out in the end anyway
14:34okay I
14:35couldn't use better words but it gets to the point where sometimes we can't say anything about anything
14:42I don't deal with races I don't deal with people that's going to tell people that like myself that
14:46I'm sitting on my arse and I'm acting like a savage but if that's the way that you feel right
14:49now get out
14:58my mom's house it's quite green round here you're not feeling a bit like you're at home it's not it's
15:03green enough in South East London horse trainer Claire has left her beloved countryside behind how
15:11you feeling I'm dreading it we'd be more excited to see the sunny South East London the pair are
15:17traveling to model Bambi's urban abode and Claire's already missing home somewhere like London is
15:24generally quite a headache concrete city I am going to seriously struggle being still or doing nothing
15:31that is my idea of hell I'm very much looking forward to going back home and I think it would
15:37be nice going forward to see if Claire could learn some things from me i.e let's just chill babe
15:41oh
15:45okay this is it you've got a bed in the kitchen well no it's a sofa it's what is okay
15:55right
15:58there is either a bin in here that smells or there's a sewer problem
16:03her whole reaction when we walked in it was quite shocking you've walked into a perfectly
16:08lovely home and you've made really shitty little comments I found it really disrespectful
16:13right you want to do that please we have the chains I need a poo great as ever the couples
16:20can
16:20request a longer chain when doing number twos I am desperate but it still requires cooperation
16:27as a pair all right yeah I need some toilet roll generally is some next to the toilet no it's
16:40all right
16:40I'll wash my ass with my hand no you fucking won't no sorry absolutely not take that thank you I
16:47I can't have someone washing their ass in my sink with hands it's just I've got draw a line I
16:53have to draw a line sorry I can't you made me sound like I'm a fucking pig how do you
16:58think you'd
16:58fucking wipe your ass in the apocalypse oh I'm not in my sink with hands get real Bambi wake up
17:07I'll tell you something now I'm cleaner than most people that live in a fucking house I used to
17:11guess otherwise I just draw the line of that notion whatever where's the key box I think it
17:18needs to be fucking front and center today to celebrate her return to the big city tonight Bambi's
17:29taking Claire out on the tiles but they've got to get ready first to look like this it is a
17:36long
17:36process it's the hair the makeup have to account the faffing is at least three hours it's not just
17:42a shit shower and shave I'm going to have to do this as quick as I can though aren't I
17:48you don't do
17:48quick as you can oh my god it's the best thing I'm living in the world that we do this
17:54Bambi how long
17:55do you normally spend in the shower wow faffers are my idea of an absolute headache people's major
18:06problem now in life is they have no purpose they sit in their flipping bedrooms fluffing about I
18:12don't have time for that shit well can we just no what else do you have to do wash my
18:23hair and
18:24then I'm actually nearly done right I've never ever seen a shower ever in my life this long
18:31fucking hell if this is your idea of rapid I'd hate to see what your fucking pause or flow is
18:39wow fuck me I will throw in the towel if the whole thing's going to be about her oh my
18:45god
18:55they're trying to find clean on this I've got clean socks I've got clean somewhere I don't know
19:03in North London following Chris's discovery of the comments Bob made online he's been considering
19:09his future in the competition um yeah we went to bed on a heavy chat obviously found out Bob's racist
19:18a part of me did want to just react in a certain way much more aggressive but puts me into
19:23that same
19:23bracket of what he already thinks so I just want to show him a different side of who people can
19:27be
19:30Bob is hoping that now Chris knows the pair can begin to move on at the end of the day
19:36some
19:36things we're going to disagree with I take people on face value and I think Chris does that as well
19:41he needed to know what I said I witnessed a riot in Camberwell in London so I said something about
19:49these people on Facebook at last year I stood to be a reform MP and the press picked up what
19:56I said
19:56and how do we I'm not racist I'm open-minded I think a lot of people have got the same
20:01opinion as me we
20:02all see life in it from a different position today Chris has a shift at the youth center so he's
20:11taking
20:11Bob to meet the young men he mentors so today Bob I wanted to try and give you a little
20:17bit more of an
20:18experience about what I do who I am some of the stuff that I was mentioning yesterday I think of
20:22course you might get a little bit more of a feel I'm looking forward to I love speaking to young
20:28people and telling them a little bit about myself when I was younger I listened to adults I was in
20:33admiration of them all the time told Bob a little bit about how easy it is to get trapped up
20:40into gang
20:41culture so I was going to tell you about myself a little bit I joined the British Army at 15
20:48I had
20:4914 pounds went to America Hong Kong Germany we're not saying the army is the first thing you should be
20:57doing or anything like that why not it became the Bob shows like he started presenting yourself yeah
21:03I used to be but it's not about me it's about new learning we can't spend the whole time talking
21:09about your life Bob oh some of the boys some questions about them about their life I will do
21:13too yeah so that'd be nice then I left the British Army they were good excellent listeners they were
21:22fine outstanding people he's on another planet I want to see it through but if I don't see a
21:28change in Bob then I don't know how long we're gonna have these handcuffs for literally never known
21:39anyone like this in my life I just can't believe it I just don't think it's that abnormal back at
21:46model Bambi's house shove a face on four hours after getting home Bambi is still getting ready for
21:53her and Claire's night out Bambi's friend Jess has come over to help with preparations
22:24I'm not an emotional person I definitely don't cry but I can't lie at this moment in time I'm
22:33honestly struggling but very light on edge very unsettled I think it's all catching up to me now
22:38do you know what I mean let's just power on through now it all begins now you get to see
22:45the old
22:45process oh no strap yourself in babe I've been seeing it all trust me no you ain't you ain't
22:50see the patch Claire we'll do this for like four hours we sit on the bed and I'm like can
22:55you be
22:55bothered to go anywhere and she's like no and I'm like neither can I should we just stay in
23:01I'm pretty tough and I'm pretty resilient I have to say but this whole princess monarchy is getting
23:06on my tits what are your thoughts do you want to put a bit of makeup on do you want
23:11to try and
23:11judge your hair up I could see she was getting irate but we have done every single thing that
23:18she wanted me to do I'm not asking you to crap in a bucket or bathe in the river I'm
23:23asking you to
23:23sit there while I take a shower and put some makeup on my face I just don't think it's that
23:27deep
23:27have you got a skin colored one I just can't be asked going in the wall drive no we've got
23:32peach pie I want a bag absolutely smashed it oh we've been doing this for fucking hours now I'm
23:38going to put my foot down Bambi I want a cigarette that's fine no I'm basically done I just got
23:43to
23:43get my hair dry shoving extensions in it takes 10 minutes listen I did your two and a half days
23:49I pissed outside I've got a shower for days I'm not having this what did you say to me in
23:53the taxi
23:53I have handed to you like a motherfucker which I have yeah but it goes both ways don't give me
23:59that princess shit no no no no I'm not going to have this right it goes both ways you wake
24:04me up
24:04in the middle of the night you want to go piss you want to go smoke you want to do
24:06all these things
24:06right so the pandering goes both ways okay snap at me I'm not going to snap at you you
24:11I fucking mean you want to take a time Claire no no no no no no no you have been
24:15treated like a
24:16queen do not talk to me like that I mean it I did your two and a half days I
24:22didn't bitch about
24:22the toilet right I did bitch but I did it I did head honey can I speak please now because
24:26I let you
24:26speak okay carry on if you're gonna be like this Bambi then I'm just gonna leave
24:33because I'm not it's up to you it's your prerogative babe okay get the handcuffs cool
24:36get it thank you we're done get me the keys I did your days I did all of the parts
24:44of your days

24:50I lived your days all right get the key get the fucking key I lived your days and I did
24:55it
24:55all right I moned a little bit but I did every single fucking part of your days from start to
24:59finish
25:00stop don't take a time with me stop shouting dev can you get the key please get it yeah I
25:06think
25:06it's okay I just want to get it okay go do the honest care god forbid I'll be a fucking
25:15princess
25:16yeah you have been a princess cool take the key then no it's your fucking prerogative you're the
25:21one that said it you do the fucking key
25:29right can you just get a charm storm yeah so do you good get gone
25:35I knew in my heart of hearts even this morning that it wasn't gonna get any better I'm no fool
25:41I'm a good judge of character I'm not up for being cuffed to a princess for that amount of time
25:47and then
25:48for her to start getting really leery I just thought I'm done I don't need this
25:54so fucking relieved I'm stood there in my own home and I'm thinking who are you speaking to like
25:59that all the things that I've done in your couple of days and you couldn't just sit there quietly
26:06and watch me put some makeup on wow I think I've got the patience of a saint but there's an
26:12absolute
26:12fucking limit and I think I reached it today I don't think there's anywhere and how you're ever
26:16going to get me back to the countryside they're all fucking unhinged
26:24oh my knickers are up there but just chuck them in the bin
26:34just five pairs remain in the running for the hundred thousand pound prize
26:42the handcuffies all entered this experiment hoping to bring others round to their way of thinking
26:47but to succeed they'll have to be open to change as well in North London I might actually be getting
26:58the number two vibes we have to get the lighter green campaigner Frank and right-wing commentator
27:03Lynn have failed to find any common ground at all he's a bit idealistic let's help the world let's
27:09help everybody but where's the reality we're ready we ready you're not coming in here Lynn's a brexit
27:16voter Lynn's intending to vote for reform Lynn's on GB news these are huge things and they pitch us
27:25right against each other you know it's been three days he's had a lot of vegan food you can do
27:31the
27:31math oh you hear it we're hearing it but I can convince anyone to vote green bring Lynn on my
27:40journey
27:42oh that was pathetic three days you've washed your hands give us a hug well done well done you must
27:52feel
27:53lighter I'm gonna skip all the way to my house today the pair are heading north to Frank's in Derbyshire

28:45don't ask me how but it's very nice very nice house did did he pay you rent well Frank cooks
28:56most
28:56of my meals so I'd say I'm a bit of a winner really but no I don't pay you rent
29:00he's able to be a
29:03counselor on 600 pounds because his mum has come from wealth and we're talking millions according to
29:10Frank just look at it he has absolute privilege in Staffordshire porn star Rob and traditional
29:24homemaker Charlie are on a mission to get to know each other he just spotted the hang
29:33this is such a surreal crazy experience it's not easy but I'm just going to as always put my best
29:40foot forward and be open-minded to find out a bit more about him the pair are off to one
29:47of Rob's
29:47favorite pastimes right down there getting his nails done okay so let's see how we're going to work
29:57it out between you two together yeah I don't have gel I just want them caught and cleaned and two

30:03on what's that they're just to keep us together hello yeah yeah blindfold on my phones and stuff
30:12yeah no I'm happily married how long has it been for you Charlie since you had your nails done properly
30:20about 18 years she's not had her nails done for 18 years I do them myself every two weeks I
30:26have just
30:27clear gel on my fingers and I have clear gel on my toes with the line of work I'm in
30:30people are
30:31interested in feet and feet pics and all that kind of stuff so it's uh yeah it helps then I'll
30:37go and
30:37have a sunbed and all that kind of stuff so I'm quite high maintenance for a man I never thought
30:43I'd be attached to somebody so in touch with his feminine side the tampering that Rob does for
30:48himself is quite something at least you're not attached to someone with really dirty nails and
30:52smell and like got wrapped the claws on the feet that are gonna scratch your leg at night you know
30:57what I mean exactly you know this experience so far it's been a massive roller coaster you know
31:04we've had some ups and downs but we're getting to know each other a bit better honestly he's quite
31:10something else and I'm definitely unbelievably low maintenance compared to this diva I'm embracing it
31:24in Derbyshire Green Party councillor Frank is still dreaming of converting GB news commentator Lynn to
31:31his way of seeing the world so you're now entering the shoes of a yeah of a green politician this
31:39is a
31:39setup do you have any life away from green politics no changing the world isn't just a hobby it's a
31:45lifestyle you know we've got to start by getting rid of some of these posters today the pair are
31:55joining forces with fellow Green Party councillor Matthew on the campaign trail hoping to change
32:01hearts and minds this is Lynn she's very much in my world her politics is always quite confrontational a
32:13little bit punching Judy at times and that's not really going to be appropriate when we're speaking
32:18to members of the public it'll be interesting perhaps for Lynn to see that I really do stand by what
32:22I
32:22believe in let's see if people really like you guys it almost looks romantic doesn't it from here
32:30as we walk behind these two hand in hand in the evening breeze nine times out of ten when I'm
32:37on
32:37the doorstep and I speak to someone who says I vote in reform that conversation ends with them
32:42voting green it's about speaking to people in a way they understand I do genuinely believe that it is
32:47my superpower I'm here to show them that really all along they agreed with me they just didn't know it
32:55hello I wonder if I could give you one of these what are the issues that matter most to you
33:00there's no point in putting any more money into the National Health Service first of all you need to slim
33:06down the middle layers in the National Health Service the money is not being spent on the front line
33:13correct I think we should be doing more to encourage more people to go into nursing to go into GPs
33:18can I just say that NHS okay can I just say can I just can I finish my sentence the
33:23NHS
33:24you know if I've got private well yeah we'll go and have a cup of tea and we'll all uh
33:29Lynn has
33:30no respect for me she doesn't respect me my job I don't feel I'm able to get a word in
33:34edgeways to
33:35be honest I've never been on a doorstep like that it is really difficult thank you very much I appreciate
33:40your time well so far not the most popular why did they agree with me they didn't agree with you
33:50you
33:50agreed with them because all you want to do is nod along and not offer solutions what do you want
33:56someone to do about it and don't just give me another GB news headline catchphrase like stop this
34:01what are we going to do I'm not a politician so you don't have the answers neither do you
34:05why are you shouting because you're not answering a question I am but you're telling me okay you're
34:10saying lower taxes the party of peace and you're shouting Frank was getting slightly overzealous I
34:15could see why we're in his environment but you don't need to lose yourself and start shouting
34:20at me because guess what I'm not going to give a shit about your green policy I feel we're just
34:25going head to head there is part of me that does wonder why I'm doing this and if I ever
34:29can convince
34:30them I think in some ways I've just got to give up with that and maybe accept there isn't a
34:34way forward
34:44in London youth worker Chris is growing ever more frustrated at how things are progressing
34:50with former reform party candidate Bob I want him to actually understand with the comment that he
34:57made how offensive it is and how much it affects so many people by just saying that hopefully by
35:02hearing a little bit more of my story can understand that black people sitting on the ass ain't savages
35:09the work that I do is come off the back of once upon a time I was that guy no
35:16one didn't give me no
35:16guidance I didn't have a role model dad passed away he was um known into sort of gangs gang affiliation
35:23stuff like that I end up gravitating towards the street life and these older guys started grooming me
35:29when you're in that environment it's very very hard even though you know right from wrong to break
35:33out to break out I didn't want to sell drugs but if I didn't then I'm not eating I'm not
35:40surviving
35:42if it wasn't for a youth worker that saved my life it's all over I remember one day he came
35:47to me and he
35:47goes Chris you can change and I just said to him if you help me I will change and I
35:53really want to
35:54change you know you said to him help me I don't want to live this life anymore and it just
36:01changed
36:01changed my whole life if I didn't have that small little inkling of help what youth worker just to
36:07say you can do this Chris what do you feel like when you're helping these young people it's it's it's
36:13the biggest award because when I was growing up if I didn't have that guy Simon to help me I
36:18don't
36:18know where I would have been right now would have been dead or in prison
36:23very very shocking indeed I've never experienced personal trauma like that and I think that lives
36:28with you for a very long time he's learned from that and he's using that experience to talk to
36:33young men and women to bring them out of that mindset
36:39through all the hard work that I've done at the age of 25 I was the youngest black male to
36:43receive
36:44an OBE for my majesty excellent that is really an achievement it really is I was so proud people
36:51started to see me as a normal citizen because I was told my whole life you meant nothing what he
36:58does for this community is absolutely unbelievable I salute him and he's been rewarded for it with an OBE
37:04that's quite an achievement and I applaud that fact I'm pleased for him to have that recognition
37:09it was hard to share my story because you don't really want to be that vulnerable but that's
37:15where the passion comes I've got very very tearful and I think he understood it a little bit more
37:20than I can see that emotion that he could feel for me and hopefully he understood it
37:31such a nice view that lake very beautiful isn't it yep in Derbyshire left winger Frank is making
37:40one final attempt to get GB news commentator Lynn to open up to him yeah yeah could have let me
37:47know
37:47I could have dressed up what do I fancy vegan fish and chips vegan fish and chips that's what I
37:54go
37:55for yeah tofu why don't they just call it tofu and chips instead of vegan fish you can't get vegan
38:01fish you've always got a complaint I mean take you up with the management I know that me and Lynn
38:08certainly do have different opinions and I think we are divided I really want us to find a positive way
38:12forward I'm done with this needless butting of heads and I don't know I think she kind of benefits
38:18somehow from keeping us divided I think she quite likes the green and the blue and I'm this and you're
38:23that and I think if we're going to go through this we have to do it as a team and
38:26to do that there needs
38:27to be a bit more honesty this is the number one thing for me sometimes just feel like there's a
38:31front
38:32a facade that I can't like a wall I can't penetrate and I do feel like you haven't been open
38:38in your emotions and where you feel I was still looking for your heart which feels like a massive
38:43thing to say but it's like I'm desperate to like chip away at this wall to get in there and
38:47to feel
38:48like there's Lynn you're not the only person that said that as a political and social commentator
38:56I'm quite forthright and quite passionate however I'm quite a private person and that's probably why I
39:04don't really have new friends my old friends get me because they've been here for over 20 years
39:09but new friends no it's it's difficult I just don't open up my heart unless I'm in that real need
39:18for
39:19romance or real need for close family situations or what are we doing now I just right now you're my
39:27right now you're my wife you're my mum you're my friends you're my brother you're my everything
39:31you're my life right now I know that the only way that I can do this is by like quite
39:39frankly
39:39loving you more this for me right now this conversation has been the best part of this
39:43so far do you think yeah I'm glad honestly I am I am I think it's important for me to
39:52grow
39:52and learn I'm really going to have a long and hard think about the things that Frank said
39:58we're very passionate about who we are and why we're here and I get the sense that we both want
40:05to see this through to the end Lynn does have this cold hard exterior but actually with a little bit
40:13of effort a little bit of kindness it's quite easy to make a connection that's going to help us a
40:19long
40:19way on this journey and I feel for the first time that we're really making headway as people
40:24not just characters in a Punch and Judy show
40:31in London say when when lovely having bared his soul to Bob youth worker Chris is hoping he can
40:41finally get him to open up about his life I don't think he's giving me the full scope of who
40:47he is
40:47he's skimming the surface he's still holding back and I definitely want to dig deeper in life have you
40:53ever looked at certain things now and said maybe that was a little bit traumatizing or I left him
40:59at 15 at the age of 15 with 14 pounds what drove you to make that I was ambitious a
41:05young kid and my
41:06dad was a bully I suffered it suffered it and suffered it and suffered it and I would have left
41:11term at nine I could have afforded it wow yeah I just wanted to get away and my dad was
41:16good
41:16sometimes and good not good sometimes so it's all bipolar what you would call it today so I joined
41:22the army they took me away did me a favor it was good for me to get away to develop
41:28myself
41:30it's quite nice to to see that side of Bob it gave me a little bit more of an insight
41:35on who Bob is
41:36throughout this journey I know that bit by a bit Bob is going to start to ease off a little
41:40bit
41:41and hopefully this continues has that experience shaped you though has like obviously like you're
41:47saying about your dad and everything have you've holded on to it have you let it go all of that
41:51trauma do you feel like it's gonna go you can't hold it I just look back you remember the good
41:55times
41:56there was some good in everybody
42:05deep in a forest my final couple
42:12and these two couldn't be more relevant to the modern world so I do usually say hello to this
42:18particular tree I do true I do talk to the trees I love the trees I'm so grateful big hug
42:26mmm thank
42:27you thank you thank you tree come on hug the tree Angie go mad this is fucking weird as fuck
42:33what am I
42:33doing I'm a tree hugging hippie that's me I like to use natural products so I make my own deodorant
42:46what's your reason for wanting to do this to get a few messages out you can change people's beliefs
42:53and opinions but only by example all our actions has that ripple effect into the world I'm handcuffing
43:01Moag to 44 year old salon owner Angie I'm a petrol head I would see myself as a bit of
43:08a girl racer
43:08I absolutely love all things Botox and filler the more frozen you can become the better let me ask you
43:17about your views of the world oh don't get me started on that I don't like people telling me
43:23how to live my life because it's frankly none of their goddamn business
43:33so a save the planet activist with a petrol head who hates being bossed around
43:42the pair have traveled to Angie's hometown of Stourport is this where we're going
43:49yes first stop a test drive of the latest model sports car Angie has her eyes on
43:59okay does the sound give you a release yeah the the more that engine rattles the scene the more
44:07excited I get and it's just how I like to unwind do you think that using a car to unwind
44:14has an
44:15impact on the environment there are no facts that climate change exists sorry but hang on hang on wait a
44:23minute I don't think you can be a hundred percent sure of that surely you haven't got that that
44:28evidence but I guess we don't have that evidence on the the other side to bring me solid proof I
44:35don't
44:35believe that climate change exists that's just a crock of shit climate activists they're busybodies
44:42we're just made to believe that these things are real they are not real do not think the world
44:49literally is heating up no it's utter bullshit what upsets me is you think that driving cars like
44:58this does does do any harm everything we do has an impact so you can't be separate you can't be
45:09in
45:09your own little island and actually that selfishness will kill us I think there's other things that do
45:16worse is that justify it because you think it's not harming the environment we're all on this planet
45:22and if we start sorry if we began to care about each other and I have a chance
45:46this is our first holiday together don't grab my hand like that do not grab my hand like that she
45:52has to learn to just calm down a bit I'm a fucking bitch say it his whole energy is very
45:58judgy me you
46:00and the wilderness she's that sister of my heart she's really helped me nice day for it captain nice day
46:06this is the start of a beautiful friendship I need to be left alone you're not on your own I'm
46:11not it's not
46:12about me and her it's about us together it's a wee thing
46:42you
