00:00Our players are in a crucial moment in the club football season.
00:06They fight for titles, they fight a relegation battle,
00:12they are involved in knockout matches, in cup matches.
00:15So it is a crucial moment of the season, a very stressful moment of the season for them.
00:21But it is also our last camp, the last opportunity to impress,
00:26the last opportunity for players to compete for their ticket.
00:30So it is a bit of a mix of motives, a bit of a mix of headlines for this camp.
00:38And to get the best out of this camp, we decided to kind of split it in two camps,
00:44which means we invited 19 outfield players and four goalkeepers into the first part of the camp,
00:53meaning until the match against Uruguay,
00:55to give these players a real chance to impress,
00:58to give the players a real chance to compete for minutes against Uruguay,
01:06impress against Uruguay and then also compete, of course, for their ticket to the World Cup.
01:13From Saturday morning, Friday evening, Saturday morning,
01:2011 players will join us in camp and we will then release some players
01:28to have a group of 21-22 outfield players plus goalkeepers to prepare professionally
01:34and with full focus for the Japan match.
01:41Rob, do you want to see us start?
01:42Hi, Thomas.
01:43Hi.
01:43You do keep us on our toes.
01:45We weren't expecting this.
01:46Good.
01:48Can you help us out by telling us who the 11 are that are going to join up late,
01:51who won't feature?
01:52Yeah, it's no secret.
01:54It's no secret.
01:54You will see anyway if you come to open training sessions.
01:58And the players know.
01:59It's Dean Henderson, Dan Byrne, Mark Gehi, Esri Konza,
02:04Nico O'Reilly, Elliot Anderson, Declan Rice, Morgan Rogers, Anthony Gordon,
02:10Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka.
02:14All of these guys have played 3,500 and plus more minutes.
02:20Some of them have 4,000 minutes.
02:22More important than the pure number of minutes is that some of these guys
02:26have already played more minutes than the whole last season.
02:31And there is still a lot of football to play.
02:34All of these players have contributed in September, October, November,
02:39so they have a bit of credit with me.
02:45And we think that to give them a break mentally and physically,
02:53we will benefit from it.
02:55They will come with hunger.
02:56Once they come, I think the headline changes a bit of camp,
02:59maybe from the competition for minutes, a competition for a ticket,
03:03it will still be on.
03:04But it's more about reconnecting, reconnecting the group
03:07and reconnecting also to our standards and to our level.
03:11That's the expectation.
03:12And that's why we gave these players a bit of a break
03:16and the chance to join us later.
