The US has charged three people associated with tech firm Super Micro, accusing them of helping smuggle US$2.5 billion of export-controlled AI tech to China.

00:30But Reuters reports that China received banned chips from market leader NVIDIA in 2024, in part through Supermicro servers.
00:39NVIDIA says compliance with export controls is a top priority for the company.
