00:00.
00:11Warhammer 40k Inquisitor Martyr
00:13is an action RPG which faithfully evokes
00:16the atmosphere of the grim 41st millennium.
00:18It's an intense experience
00:20focusing on a gameplay where the spectacular
00:22display of destruction recalls
00:23the sense of constant warfare.
00:25Take a look at your surroundings.
00:27Let the glorious carnage commence
00:29in the name of the Emperor and know
00:31that nothing can survive the devastation
00:33you are going to unleash.
00:34The new in-house developed Core Tech Engine
00:37combined with updated physics grants
00:39a welcome diversity in how different types
00:41of attacks affect the environment.
00:44The environment also has
00:45a significant role in the gameplay.
00:47Inquisitor Martyr is an action RPG
00:49with some fundamental improvements
00:51and one of these new additions
00:53is the cover system which grants a tactical
00:55layer to the game.
00:56Covers are fixed obstacles
00:58that provide a more realistic approach
01:00to the firefights.
01:01The first rule of the cover system
01:02is that both inquisitors
01:03and their enemies can use certain objects
01:05to shield themselves from hostile attacks.
01:08Rule number 2.
01:09Since the cover is also part of the environment
01:12it can be destroyed.
01:13Depending on their size creatures can use
01:15obstacles to mitigate incoming damage.
01:18The type and the material will determine
01:19how much damage a cover can absorb.
01:22Most of the obstacles can be destroyed over time
01:24but it also depends on the weapon of choice.
01:27Bolter ammunition will break down the barriers gradually
01:29chipping away at the defences.
01:31On the other hand
01:31plas guns disintegrate most covers
01:33with a couple of large blasts.
01:36Under relentless fire
01:37even massive columns can collapse
01:38burying friend or foe under the rubble.
01:43Destructible environment can be either a benefit
01:45or a hazard.
01:47Dangerous objects like pressurized containers
01:49can explode on impact
01:50which, in turn, will create a physical blowback effect.
01:53It is an effective way to cripple
01:55all of the creatures caught in the blast.
01:58All in all, destructible environment
02:00is one of the key elements in Inquisitor Martyr.
02:02There will be some more to follow.
02:04Stay tuned for more videos
02:05and welcome to the grim world of Warhammer 40k.
