00:10The base controls are similar to a traditional gamepad.
00:14You will quickly find your bearings if you've played previous games in the series with a controller.
00:21This game supports simultaneous gamepad and mouse input, meaning swiping the right trackpad will let you control the camera with
00:27extra responsiveness and accuracy.
00:31Dark Souls 3 is a challenging game, where staying alive requires constant mobility and scanning of your surroundings.
00:38To this end, we are using the controller to let you access all in-game actions while running and looking
00:44around.
00:46The grip buttons on the back of the controller will let you dash, dodge and use items.
00:54Click and hold the right pad to bring up a menu with additional shortcuts.
00:58Once you've familiarized yourself with the location of the buttons, you can access them again with just a quick click.
01:05This allows you to cycle through weapons, spells and items while running, without having to adjust your grip.
