00:40It starts with combat the fluidity of movement the speed of movement using your guns in
00:47Really effective ways and feeling connected to the weapons the responsiveness of the weapons
00:52Doom is about about guns first and foremost and you know fighting demons with guns
01:00I think the designers did a great job. I mean they they really tried to make each weapon
01:05Distinct each one kind of has its own style to it for example the shotguns kind of an up-close
01:10and personal weapon
01:11But you can modify it so it has an alternate fire that can you can it works from a distance
01:16You're inspired to keep playing because you want to fill up that full arsenal
01:20And you're also fighting against the full suite of characters that we have in the game and each of those
01:24characters are kind of like a chess piece
01:25So once the chessboard is full in the later levels and your arsenal is full
01:30Then you can kind of pick and choose and tailor your experience to your certain play style with just the
01:34weapons alone
01:36The way that you play is is one of the most fun parts about doing
01:42Argent energy you've just taken into your system
01:45This seems to agree with you
01:48We've kind of had this whole upgrade system that allows you to play in a lot of different ways and
01:51use you know your own strategy and how you approach the different arenas and
01:55And you know even tweak that as you go through the game
01:59Then there's the the progression items like the research projects that we have and the runes
02:04Each of those basically allow you to customize your your character and and the way the game plays and the
02:09way it feels
02:10I like to tailor my experience to speed make it so I could glory kill faster
02:14I can mantle faster I can switch mods faster I can do all these things just a little bit faster
02:18and once you stack these things on top of each other
02:21The game just plays even faster than it already does which out the box. It's it's pretty pretty fast, so
02:27But that's my personal play style
02:31A lot of games have kind of execution moves because the game is so fast paced
02:36It was a nice way to to get out of what kind of happens with the clunkiness of some melee
02:41systems
02:42Um and uh and and make melee within the doom franchise something that that really is very doom
02:51It's a contextual anywhere that you look you actually glory do a different glory kill on a character
02:56So if I approach character from behind I'll do a certain type of glory kill and it all feels very
03:00fluid
03:01I've played the game for a crazy amount of time and I still love doing it
03:06It's not a casual game where you can kind of you know be doing something else while you play especially
03:11in the arenas
03:12You know, they're very challenging in them in the best possible way
03:15We fill these these spaces in these combat encounters with with such a nice diversity of of of enemies
03:23That are so distinct in their each of their behaviors
03:26It's kind of like a mental chess game that's happening at a million miles an hour
03:31You could turn a corner there's an incubus you're probably going to want to switch to a chain gun or
03:35a rocket launcher or a gauss cannon
03:37Whatever is your favorite heavy type weapon all these things are kind of happening really fast and it makes for
03:42an incredibly engaging experience
03:48Doom you kind of you got to sit up in your chair a little bit and shake out your hands
03:51You know you get beat a couple times and you're like okay this time I got it
