00:08So my question is, what does the intelligence community assess Israel's goals in this war to be, and are those
00:16goals aligned with the goals of the United States?
00:18Yes. I'm thinking carefully here about what can be said in this open setting versus a closed setting.
00:34Are the goals aligned?
00:38The objectives that have been laid out by the president are different from the objectives that have been laid out
00:43by the Israeli government.
00:46And how do they differ?
00:48We can see through the operations that the Israeli government has been focused on disabling the Iranian leadership and taking
00:58out several members, obviously, beginning with the Ayatollah, the Supreme Leader.
01:03And they continue to focus on that effort.
01:06How does that differ from our goals?
01:08The president has stated that his objectives are to destroy Iran's ballistic missile launching capability, their ballistic missile production capability,
01:21and their Navy, the IRGC Navy, and mine length capability.
01:27So the death and destruction continues, the economic cost to the United States, to Israel, to the Gulf States, and
01:33to the world continues to increase.
01:36So I want to ask you, to the best of your knowledge, do you know whether Israel is supportive of
01:40the president's call to make a deal with Iran?
01:45I don't know the answer to that.
01:48I don't know Israel's position on that.
01:51And to what do you attribute Israel's decision to strike Iranian energy infrastructure, despite President Trump's call to keep those
01:58facilities off limits?

02:07Development of a nuclear weapon.

02:11If left unchecked, do you think Iran would have the ability to develop missiles capable of reaching the United States?

02:28Much had been made by some about a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons.
02:34Notwithstanding the fatwa, what we know, and the intelligence community is in agreement on this,
02:40is that Iran possesses at least 440 kilograms of uranium enriched to weapons grade 60%,
02:47which doesn't have a civilian use.
02:49The only use for that would be the development of nuclear weapons.
