The war between Lebanon and Israel has entered its third week with no sign of cessation. Israel is implementing a plan to completely dismantle Hezbollah, stating it is ready for negotiations if the Lebanese government can handle the situation; otherwise, Israel will act independently. Over 900 people have been killed and more than 2,000 injured in the ongoing conflict. The Lebanese government faces a major humanitarian crisis with 10 lakh people displaced out of a total population of 60 lakh. Israel is attempting to capture major parts of South Lebanon, considered a Hezbollah stronghold. Israel previously occupied South Lebanon until 2006 and is now seeking to regain control of these strategic areas as part of its military campaign against Hezbollah
