00:00Now, the situation in Lebanon remains grim amid continuous Israeli attacks.
00:04In South Beirut, thousands have fled their homes after Israel told civilians to evacuate.
00:12The streets were a deserted look as people moved to shelters amid fears of Israeli strikes.
00:18Many have shifted to makeshift tents and are struggling to cope with the uncertainty.
00:22A Christian village in Magdusa has opened its school buildings to shelter nearly 200 displaced families from southern Lebanon.
00:33Israel has been launching daily strikes on Lebanon.
00:37On Wednesday, Israeli forces struck a 22-floor building in Beirut, reducing it to rubble in seconds.
00:43More than 900 people have lost their lives in Lebanon in the horrible war.
00:50I am here in the Magdusa town of South Lebanon.
00:54This town is the Christian populated town, very old town.
01:00In fact, one of the biggest churches of Lebanon is here in this village.
01:06And behind me, this is the school building of the village.
01:08And it is now the house for near about 1,000 members from different and dozens of families of South
01:19Lebanon.
01:19Because they have now found that this government school could accommodate them for those days till they are displaced from
01:28their native places.
01:29So, you can see behind me, now this school has become a shelter home for displaced people from Lebanon.
01:37Ashrafani for India today in Magdusa village of South Lebanon.
01:42The war between the Lebanon and Israel has now entered to its third week.
01:48And there is not any kind of let-off from the attacks and counter-attacks by Hezbollah on Israel.
01:55There is a plan under which the Israel is fighting in Lebanon.
02:00They want to completely dismantle Hezbollah.
02:04They earlier told that if the Lebanese government is capable to do so, then they are ready for negotiations.
02:12If Lebanese government cannot do that, then they are going to do it on its own.
02:19And what we are seeing now in the Lebanon.
02:21Already more than 900 people had been killed in this ongoing war.
02:27More than 2,000 are injured.
02:29And the biggest problem for the Lebanese government is the displacement of 10 lakh population out of its 60 lakh
02:37population in this country.
02:39On the other side, there is a major plot and design of the Israel.
02:45They earlier were also in the South Lebanon till 2006.
02:49Now, once again, they are trying to capture the major parts of South Lebanon, which is being considered as a
02:58stronghold of Hezbollah.
