00:00Jalen Brown gets a game ball for passing JoJo.
00:04Whose idea was that?
00:05Was it yours?
00:06Was it somebody above?
00:08I think it's important over the course of the season.
00:12Everything is about team, and obviously winning is the most important thing.
00:16I think our guys do the best job at keeping the team first.
00:20But I think when you play for the Celtics and you've had a career that Jalen has had
00:25and these guys going after greatness, being in the NBA, playing in Boston,
00:28I think you have to be able to acknowledge those things because they go hand in hand.
00:32I mean, if you don't have greatness, if you don't have great individuals,
00:35then you can't get to where you want to get to as a team.
00:37So I think it's important to find time throughout the season to highlight that.
00:40We gave Mimi the Nets from his Philly game where I thought he played great,
00:45one of his career high games.
00:47We gave JT the Nets from the Dallas game on just battling back to where he is now
00:53and the game ball for Jalen.
00:55I mean, being in the top ten as a Celtic scorer is, you know,
00:59based on the players and the history and the tradition of playing for the Celtics,
01:03that's something that you can't pass up celebrating.
01:06How often do you hand out a game ball?
01:08Is that an every game thing or is that only for special occasions?
01:11I think special occasions.
01:13Oh, okay.
01:13I mean, yeah, only special occasions.
01:15Got it.
01:16You also talked about it's so hard to play here.
01:18What did you mean in those terms, to be a Celtic?
01:21I mean, what I mean by that is, like, you have to come into the garden
01:28and you have to, when you put Celtics on your chest,
01:30you have to, the expectation is to win every single night,
01:33regardless of how you feel or regardless of what the circumstances are.
01:37And, you know, you have a responsibility and ownership to winning.
01:41It doesn't matter if it's a preseason game, regular season game,
01:44playoff game, or a finals game.
01:46And I think carrying on that responsibility and ownership is, you know,
01:50you have to just be locked in on it all the time.
01:54And it's, you know, it's a responsibility, it's a gift,
01:57but, you know, it's something that you have to carry always.
02:01And I think our guys and everyone who's put on a Celtic jersey
02:04carries it the best that they can.
