00:00:01Nestled in the hills of the Santa Monica Mountains,
00:00:05this extraordinary mansion was built by a homeowner
00:00:08inspired by his travels through Italy, Spain, and the Mediterranean.
00:00:12When we were in Italy, there was this house that wasn't totally built.
00:00:17Pulled over to the side of the road and I said, that's it.
00:00:19That's what I'm going to build.
00:00:20The Mediterranean revival-style home
00:00:23spans 10,000 square feet of interior living space
00:00:26and is situated on an expansive nine-acre property.
00:00:31With seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms,
00:00:34the estate can comfortably sleep more than 13 guests.
00:00:37After its completion, the estate caught the eye of a location scout.
00:00:42When the bachelor asked me to try to find the mansion for the show,
00:00:46they asked to find really high ceilings.
00:00:48They needed to be able to do that rose ceremony.
00:00:51And in 2007, it was chosen as the iconic backdrop for the bachelor.
00:00:58I thought it was going to be like a one- or two-day thing
00:01:00and it turned it into something like 20 years now.
00:01:03Over time, bedrooms were transformed into confessionals and control rooms.
00:01:08While legendary spaces like the rose room...
00:01:10Tyler, will you accept this race?
00:01:12I'd love to.
00:01:13...and the poolside terraces were forever cemented in bachelor history.
00:01:17Everyone else take your shirts off now!
00:01:20I did not feel her champagne.
00:01:23It's where fairy tales began...
00:01:25I love you.
00:01:26Are you mad?
00:01:27Yes.
00:01:28...and where hearts were broken.
00:01:29It's not in the cards for me.
00:01:31I think I need to go home and be a mom.
00:01:34What just happened?
00:01:37Now, for the first time ever, we're pulling back the curtain,
00:01:41revealing the mansion as you've never seen it before,
00:01:45transforming one space at a time.
00:01:49No!
00:01:50We've brought together 12 Bachelor Nation alumni with real design and build expertise
00:01:55to give this place the makeover it deserves.
00:01:58The last remnants of the bachelor house.
00:02:01Finally getting my hands on some tools.
00:02:03Some are back on familiar ground.
00:02:05Others are stepping through these doors for the very first time.
00:02:09Our 12 contestants have already lived through the twists and turns of the Bachelor franchise.
00:02:14You and I both have been a villain.
00:02:15I'm not dying to work with Courtney on another team.
00:02:17She needs to go.
00:02:18They know this is not going to be easy.
00:02:20Are we going to keep the strongest players here or are we going to send them home?
00:02:24This is brutal!
00:02:25They will be judged.
00:02:27I feel like it looks like Toy Story.
00:02:28That's not good.
00:02:29And in the end, only one will be crowned the winner.
00:02:33You guys have a footprint all over this mansion, which is iconic.
00:02:37But each of them is here to carve out their place in Bachelor history to showcase their
00:02:41skills and walk away with a $100,000 cash prize.
00:02:46What?
00:02:47And the clock is ticking because this renovation has to be finished before a new season of
00:02:52The Bachelorette begins.
00:02:54The tools are real.
00:02:56The drama is real.
00:02:58I wasn't trying to be sneaky.
00:02:59I hate your ideas and I always have.
00:03:01And the stakes have never been higher.
00:03:03How are you serious?
00:03:04I'm Jesse Palmer and welcome to the most dramatic renovation competition this mansion has ever
00:03:10seen.
00:03:11This is Bachelor Mansion Takeover.
00:03:36We got some work to do.
00:03:38Jill, hi.
00:03:39Jesse.
00:03:40How are you?
00:03:40Okay.
00:03:41How are...
00:03:42Like any great relationship, renovating this mansion is going to take a lot of hard work.
00:03:47I know I haven't been the best at finding studs on Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, but I just
00:03:53wanted to let you know that I'm going to nail it.
00:03:54I'm Jill and I'm from season 26 of The Bachelor.
00:03:58These are the ashes of my ex-boyfriends.
00:04:01And I brought them here just in case you make the same mistake.
00:04:04And then I was on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 and again in season 10.
00:04:11Where I self eliminated.
00:04:13I'm going to give you a try, let's go.
00:04:14All right, let's do it.
00:04:15I don't want to watch people fall in love.
00:04:18I want that for myself.
00:04:20I could be desired.
00:04:22I'll swim.
00:04:24Why don't you head on in?
00:04:25Here we go.
00:04:29Oh my God.
00:04:32Oh, okay.
00:04:35Wow, boxes.
00:04:36I've never seen it like this.
00:04:39It's kind of depressing.
00:04:41The last time I was here, I was in a gown fighting for my life.
00:04:47And now I get to tear it all apart.
00:04:51You got to get all the bad energy out.
00:04:57Oh, wow.
00:04:58Jesse.
00:04:59Noah, good to see you.
00:05:00How you doing? I'm Noah.
00:05:01I'm Tayshia.
00:05:02You've actually never been to The Bachelor Mansion before, right?
00:05:05No, I've never been here.
00:05:06On my season of Bachelorette, we didn't have the opportunity to come to the mansion.
00:05:10I've heard horror stories about, you know, some of the functionality aspects of it.
00:05:16I'm a little nervous.
00:05:17I told Abby, seen a bit, you know?
00:05:20And, you know, I'm here just for the experience.
00:05:22I'm super excited.
00:05:23You mentioned Abby, of course.
00:05:23Everybody knows the two of you together, obviously.
00:05:26So far, I've loved getting to know you.
00:05:28You know, moving forward, I definitely want to, like, keep trying to pursue.
00:05:31And if there's anything there, then keep running with it.
00:05:34So you still want to be the power couple of each?
00:05:36We're royalty.
00:05:38Abby and I met on Paradise.
00:05:39We broke up on Paradise.
00:05:41We got together off the show, got married, and we're in love.
00:05:45You guys do a lot of really cool work back at your home in Oklahoma together, right?
00:05:48I wish she was here, because her design is significantly better than mine.
00:05:52But all these different pieces of things I've learned from her,
00:05:55and then just seeing if I can put it all together and win this thing, you know what I mean?
00:05:59Sounds like you're just the man for the job, man.
00:06:01I'm glad you're here.
00:06:02Appreciate it.
00:06:03Send Abigail my best. I'll see you inside soon.
00:06:05Will do. Thank you.
00:06:05Good week, dude. First time walking through. Enjoy it.
00:06:08Whoever walks through that door, they don't know what they got coming.
00:06:13Let's see who it is.
00:06:15Who is it?
00:06:16Wait, shut up!
00:06:18Oh, my God, I shouldn't have known!
00:06:20Oh, my God.
00:06:21Oh, my God.
00:06:22Oh, damn it.
00:06:23He just redid his house.
00:06:24Let's go.
00:06:26No, it's okay.
00:06:27It's a little rusty, but...
00:06:28No, you're not. You just redid your house.
00:06:29Looks like so is this place.
00:06:30I didn't know you did stuff with your house.
00:06:32Girl, I don't have a house. I'm an architectural historian.
00:06:35Oh, no way.
00:06:36Yeah, I'm a preservation planner, so I deal with architecture every day. It's my job.
00:06:46Look who showed up.
00:06:47I'm here, not in an evening gown.
00:06:49You look so great.
00:06:50I can't believe I'm back at the mansion.
00:06:52I thought when I left here, I was gone forever, and here I am.
00:06:55Here you are, making history as the first ever golden bachelorette. How wild is that?
00:07:00It's wild. I feel like Cinderella right now.
00:07:02How does it feel to be back where all the magic happened?
00:07:05Of course, this is where you met your incredible fiancée, Chalk.
00:07:08Oh, my God.
00:07:10Joan.
00:07:12Will you marry me?
00:07:14Of course I'll marry you.
00:07:16You're a woman of so many talents, but I know interior design, I think, is one of them, right?
00:07:21Always been a passion. I went back to school and got my interior design degree,
00:07:24so I feel so fortunate that I get to be here.
00:07:28I got to be on the first ever golden bachelor show.
00:07:31I got to be the first ever golden bachelorette.
00:07:33I feel so lucky.
00:07:35I feel like this franchise has given me so much, and I really want to give back to it.
00:07:40I want to make this place amazing.
00:07:42I can't believe I'm back.
00:07:45What's up, Jesse?
00:07:46Dean, how we doing, sir?
00:07:48Doing pretty good now. How are you?
00:07:49Great.
00:07:49My name is Dean.
00:07:51You might remember me from The Bachelorette all the way back in 2017,
00:07:56or marrying my beautiful wife from Bachelor in Paradise.
00:07:59It'd be cool to have someone to, like, come along with the adventures.
00:08:01Traveling's, like, my thing.
00:08:02Yes.
00:08:03Oh, my gosh.
00:08:03Cheers to that.
00:08:04How many cheers can we do tonight?
00:08:06Totally thinks we're empty.
00:08:07What are you bringing here to the mansion?
00:08:09Uh, a lot of her design abilities that have rubbed off on me, hopefully.
00:08:13Good.
00:08:14This looks so different.
00:08:16Like, worse?
00:08:17Yeah.
00:08:17Yeah.
00:08:18It needs to work.
00:08:19But that's why we're here.
00:08:22Do you know?
00:08:23What is it?
00:08:24Oh, my God!
00:08:25What's up, baby?
00:08:26How are you?
00:08:28How are you?
00:08:29I knew you were going to be here.
00:08:30We were just texting, actually.
00:08:31That's right.
00:08:32I was asking for some advice on how to do my back splash.
00:08:37Hi.
00:08:38Hey, Tammy.
00:08:38I feel like somebody came prepared.
00:08:40I know what I'm doing, you know?
00:08:41Good to see you.
00:08:42Good to see you.
00:08:43How are you?
00:08:44Good.
00:08:44How does it feel to be here?
00:08:45It's been six years since I've been back here, so it's nostalgic for sure.
00:08:49We got some TSA here?
00:08:51Yeah.
00:08:51They told me there was a large package in front of the mansion.
00:08:54Is that what you heard?
00:08:54Yeah.
00:08:55I'm going to have to do some private screening.
00:08:57Are you?
00:08:57So I'll see you in the inside.
00:08:59I know you also have a lot of experience doing this, too, though, right?
00:09:01You just renovated a social club back in Syracuse, I hear.
00:09:03Yep.
00:09:03I renovated properties before, and I'm also a realtor in New York, Florida, and California.
00:09:07Oh, boy.
00:09:08Why don't you head on in with your hard hat?
00:09:10Bye.
00:09:10See ya.
00:09:15Chris!
00:09:16Jesse!
00:09:17Welcome back!
00:09:18Kind of like irregular, what we've been going through.
00:09:21So I brought some prune juice.
00:09:23Oh!
00:09:23Uh-huh.
00:09:24And by the evening, everything will run very well.
00:09:29You look great.
00:09:30You're still in amazing shape.
00:09:32I got to give it to you.
00:09:32That's what construction does.
00:09:33Yeah, and that runs in the family, right?
00:09:36Yes.
00:09:36That's something that you know very well.
00:09:38I am a builder, remodeler, and my son is my partner.
00:09:43I'd love to get my hands on this place.
00:09:45As they say, let the games begin.
00:09:47Well, well, well, well, well, well, well.
00:09:49How are you?
00:09:51It's been too long.
00:09:51How you doing?
00:09:52How you doing?
00:09:53I'm so happy to see you.
00:09:55Okay, I got another golden here with me.
00:10:02Sorry, Jesse.
00:10:03I just got here from my last job site.
00:10:05Sam, good to see you, man.
00:10:06What did you bring with you?
00:10:07I got myself a one-by-four right here, man,
00:10:10just to help with the renovation.
00:10:12How are you?
00:10:12Okay, nice.
00:10:13Yeah, I'm doing great.
00:10:14On The Bachelorette, I was definitely the villain.
00:10:16I'm not doing it.
00:10:18You're going to do it.
00:10:18Here, cheers to growth.
00:10:20You can't convince me to jump.
00:10:21I'll give you a little push.
00:10:24I think this go-around, yeah, I'd definitely like for the world
00:10:28to see another side of me.
00:10:31Supervise!
00:10:32Courtney!
00:10:33Fill me in.
00:10:34What's been going on?
00:10:35Well, last time I was here, I got engaged to The Bachelor.
00:10:40Will you marry me?
00:10:41Yes, of course I will.
00:10:44I will love you forever.
00:10:47Didn't work out.
00:10:48Right.
00:10:49I unfortunately was the villain.
00:10:51Courtney, let's spin the bottle.
00:10:53Dot, dot, dot, bin.
00:10:57How'd that taste coming out of your mouth?
00:11:00What?
00:11:01How'd that taste coming out of your mouth?
00:11:04Winning.
00:11:05Winning.
00:11:06I'm a mom, and it's the best job I've ever had.
00:11:09Oh, I'm so happy to hear all that.
00:11:11So I'm here to play for my kids and my family.
00:11:13I am now married.
00:11:14I'm a mother of three.
00:11:16I've been a residential real estate agent since 2009,
00:11:19and I have done a lot of renovations and flips.
00:11:24Honey, I'm home.
00:11:25It's over the house.
00:11:26It's not fair.
00:11:27I feel like I'm qualified to freshen up this place
00:11:31and give it new life,
00:11:32because this place needs it.
00:11:34This is so gaudy in my opinion.
00:11:37I know, it's really nice.
00:11:37It needs a facelift.
00:11:41JP!
00:11:42Sandra!
00:11:43Hi.
00:11:44It's so great seeing you.
00:11:46Boy, you were looking mighty dapper today.
00:11:48Oh, you know, it's so great seeing you.
00:11:49I missed you.
00:11:50Missed you too.
00:11:50How's everything going?
00:11:52Great.
00:11:52What's the mindset going into this competition?
00:11:55I'm a little excited.
00:11:55Are you nervous at all?
00:11:57A little bit.
00:11:57I'm a little bit nervous too,
00:11:58and I wanted to bring that up
00:11:59because I remember on the Golden Bachelor
00:12:02you had that amazing breathing exercise with Gary.
00:12:04Can you lead me through that breathing exercise again?
00:12:06Absolutely. Okay.
00:12:07Okay.
00:12:07I'm gonna take a few breaths.
00:12:08Close your eyes.
00:12:09Go up with your hand.
00:12:11Think of something really cool or soothing or whatever.
00:12:13What I do when I get nervous, I have this zen practice.
00:12:19So I'm gonna do that right now, if you don't mind.
00:12:21Yeah.
00:12:21Okay.
00:12:24I'll take a couple of breaths.
00:12:34Oh, yeah.
00:12:36Better?
00:12:37You can come on in.
00:12:38All right, thanks a lot.
00:12:44Jeremy.
00:12:46What's up, Jen?
00:12:47How are you?
00:12:48How's it going?
00:12:49It's going good.
00:12:50Hey, Palmer.
00:12:50Keep it close.
00:12:51Oh.
00:12:53My background's in civil engineering and real estate,
00:12:56so hopefully it'll make me think out of the box.
00:12:58Hopefully you'll keep that mindset.
00:12:59Good to see you, man.
00:13:00All right, brother. You too.
00:13:00I'll see you soon.
00:13:01See you inside.
00:13:05What's up, Jesse? How you doing, brother?
00:13:07My name is Brendan,
00:13:08and you might know me from Tayshia's season of The Bachelorette.
00:13:11Like, I feel really connected to him.
00:13:14I don't know. I thought I could marry him.
00:13:15I was in the top three or four.
00:13:17In my early 20s, I did get married.
00:13:20There's a big part of me that's still broken.
00:13:22You deserve a man who is healed from his past,
00:13:26and unfortunately, right now, I'm not that man.
00:13:30I made some mistakes, so I'm glad it's not dating.
00:13:34I'm glad I get to use my hands a little bit
00:13:36and show some skills.
00:13:41Hi, Alicia.
00:13:42Jesse, my guy.
00:13:44I'm Alicia.
00:13:45You might recognize me from Grant's season of The Bachelor
00:13:49and more recently from season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise.
00:13:52She's young. She's pretty. She's blonde.
00:13:54She seems right up some of these guys' alley.
00:13:57I'm just not excited.
00:13:58I feel a lot more confident showing up for this
00:14:01than finding love.
00:14:02Yeah.
00:14:03This is going to be a much easier journey for me.
00:14:05Pageant girl getting her hands dirty.
00:14:07Yeah.
00:14:08I think I'm the 1% in the world in interior design.
00:14:11I really believe in myself, so I'm expecting to win,
00:14:14and I'm expecting some drama because, let's be honest,
00:14:16this is still Bachelor nation.
00:14:18We are in The Bachelor house,
00:14:19and under this roof, there's always drama.
00:14:24Oh, we have one.
00:14:25Okay, is it a girl?
00:14:26It's a girl.
00:14:28Hello.
00:14:29Hello.
00:14:30Oh, Jesus Christ.
00:14:32Hi.
00:14:33Wow.
00:14:35Hi.
00:14:40Oh, Jesus Christ.
00:14:42Hello.
00:14:43Hello.
00:14:43Hello.
00:14:44Hi.
00:14:44Okay.
00:14:45Alicia's here.
00:14:46I met her on Paradise for all of three seconds.
00:14:49I think that she has personal beef with me.
00:14:52So, my guard is definitely up.
00:14:55Jill and I were on Paradise together,
00:14:57but coming into this, I definitely don't trust Jill.
00:15:00I kind of get the vibe that she doesn't like me.
00:15:03So, I don't know.
00:15:05She's very cold to me.
00:15:08Me too.
00:15:08Good to see you.
00:15:09Good to see you.
00:15:12Good to see you.
00:15:12Good to see you.
00:15:12It'll be fine.
00:15:13Hi.
00:15:13I'm sorry.
00:15:14You're telling me everything.
00:15:18Welcome back, everybody.
00:15:19It's great seeing everyone again.
00:15:21Good to see you.
00:15:22How does it feel to be here in The Bachelor mansion?
00:15:24Oh, my God.
00:15:24If these walls could talk, they'd scream.
00:15:27It feels great.
00:15:28But there's clearly a lot of work to do.
00:15:30So, for some of you, I know this is a long-awaited first visit here
00:15:33because your journeys didn't actually take place in this building.
00:15:37So, what's it like finally walking through the doors of The Bachelor mansion?
00:15:40Never thought I'd be here.
00:15:42I'm glad it's not a dating show, but maybe less colors of the rainbow on the walls.
00:15:46Yeah, it's definitely a lot of busy patterns and stuff, so I'm excited to see what it's
00:15:50going to look like at the end.
00:15:51Well, as you all know, the Golden Bachelorettes, they all just moved out, and this mansion,
00:15:57as you can see, is in need of a transformation, and you've been chosen to lead the charge.
00:16:02Over the next 20 days, you're going to take on projects that push you to your absolute limits.
00:16:09This is going to test your creativity, your craftsmanship, and your ability to work both on your own and as
00:16:15a team.
00:16:15Week after week, you're going to face new challenges, transforming this mansion one space at a time.
00:16:22Some of you will stay, some of you will go, and in the end, one of you will walk away.
00:16:34With $100,000.
00:16:39Oh, my God!
00:16:41Yeah!
00:16:42That's crazy!
00:16:44Get her out of town!
00:16:47Yeah!
00:16:47That's funny.
00:16:49I want to be very clear, though.
00:16:51We really are in a tight timeline before a brand new season of The Bachelorette begins.
00:16:57Which brings me to your very first challenge.
00:17:00And your judges for the competition, Bachelor Nation icons, Tayshia Adams and Tyler Cameron.
00:17:08Amazing!
00:17:11Woo!
00:17:12Tayshia wasn't only a contestant on The Bachelor.
00:17:15Tayshia, will you accept this for us?
00:17:18Of course.
00:17:18One of the few in Bachelor Nation history to be both a Bachelorette and a host.
00:17:23So she's an expert in what it's like to live this experience.
00:17:26And Tyler has lived in the mansion.
00:17:29Wow!
00:17:30Hi!
00:17:30You are absolutely killing that dress.
00:17:32Oh, thank you!
00:17:33You look amazing.
00:17:34So he knows what works and what needs to change.
00:17:37That was a tight end, as you can tell.
00:17:39I want to feel it?
00:17:40Behave, girl.
00:17:41Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:17:41Yeah, a tight end.
00:17:42He's a general contractor with his own home renovation show.
00:17:46He knows the build world, and he knows it inside and out.
00:17:49Your judges are outside waiting for you, so why don't you head on outside to the terrace,
00:17:53and I'll see you all very soon.
00:17:55Good luck!
00:17:58After you, sir.
00:17:59You ready to see some ex-boyfriends?
00:18:01You know, I wasn't planning on doing that while being here, but sure.
00:18:06Holy moly!
00:18:07Ah!
00:18:08Hi!
00:18:08Hi, Tayshia!
00:18:10Welcome, welcome!
00:18:10Hi, Tyler!
00:18:11Hi!
00:18:11Hey!
00:18:13Oh, my God!
00:18:14Hi!
00:18:16What's up, guys?
00:18:17Brennan.
00:18:17I haven't seen you in quite some time.
00:18:19Never in a million years would I have envisioned that I would see Tayshia here for the first time in
00:18:25five years.
00:18:26We haven't talked.
00:18:27We haven't seen each other since our time on her season.
00:18:30Brennan, you sweating a little bit.
00:18:33Hi, Noah.
00:18:34Lovely.
00:18:35My ex-girlfriend's the judge.
00:18:37Keep you on your toes always. Never forget that, Noah.
00:18:39Uh-huh.
00:18:41What are some of y'all's background in construction and design?
00:18:45I'm probably the best painter.
00:18:46I've been in this world for a long, long time.
00:18:49I've done commercial roof repair for 10-plus years,
00:18:53and now I have a construction company.
00:18:56We do painting, Venetian plaster, lime wash.
00:19:00We do a little bit of everything.
00:19:01Sandra, what do you do?
00:19:02I have had a real estate license for 40 years, so I've seen a lot of property.
00:19:06What do you think of this property?
00:19:08Um, I'm glad we're here.
00:19:10Can you use a little TLC?
00:19:12Yes, yes.
00:19:12Dad, you're a contractor, right?
00:19:15This is the only thing I've ever done.
00:19:16The only job that I have ever had in my entire life is actually being a contractor.
00:19:21I come from a construction family.
00:19:24My dad taught me at a young age, and it's something that I've fallen in love with as time has
00:19:28gone by.
00:19:29Tyler, you're a contractor.
00:19:29I am, I am.
00:19:30So I'm excited to see your finish skills.
00:19:32We're gonna do it right.
00:19:33Joan, you're being real quiet down there, and that's not like you.
00:19:36No, it's not, but this box is really intimidating.
00:19:38I'm dying to know what's in it.
00:19:39Are you guys ready to get to work?
00:19:40Absolutely.
00:19:42Think of this as your design boot camp.
00:19:44A test of speed, focus, and problem solving under pressure.
00:19:48The first challenge is renovation math.
00:19:52Answer the question right, and you'll unlock your crate.
00:19:54Inside your crate, you will find your next task.
00:19:57A paint sheen match test.
00:19:59Line up the tiles by their finishes in the correct order to reveal the code for your lockbox.
00:20:04Unlock your lockbox, and inside you'll discover a key for your toolbox.
00:20:07This will be your final puzzle.
00:20:09The last step standing between you and the golden hammer.
00:20:13The first person to raise the golden hammer wins the challenge.
00:20:16That locks in immunity and is guaranteed safety for the first renovation challenge.
00:20:20Can you help me?
00:20:21Are you asking for...
00:20:23Yeah.
00:20:24Because if I need help you a lot...
00:20:26Yeah, I got you.
00:20:27Okay.
00:20:28Everybody ready?
00:20:29Absolutely.
00:20:30Let's do it.
00:20:31Your first impression skills test begins now.
00:20:38If you're tiling an 11 foot by 12 foot bathroom floor, and there's a 2 foot by 6 foot double
00:20:43vanity that doesn't need flooring...
00:20:45How many square feet of bathroom floor will you have to cover?
00:20:47Oh!
00:20:51This is probably going to be the slowest part of the challenge.
00:20:54Come on, come on, come on.
00:20:55Dig fast, dig fast, dig fast.
00:20:5612 by 12 is 124.
00:21:00Simple math.
00:21:0111 times 12 minus 6 times 2.
00:21:03You just multiply and then subtract.
00:21:05Easy.
00:21:05120.
00:21:06Just kidding!
00:21:07I'm so good at math!
00:21:09Always in, too, guys.
00:21:10You gotta hurry up.
00:21:11Sam, great job.
00:21:13Two crates are open now.
00:21:14No way!
00:21:17The tiles are out.
00:21:18It's a race to get this done the fastest.
00:21:20I feel like I'm in a great spot.
00:21:22There are four different pallets of sheens of paint, flat, matte, satin, and semi-gloss that we have to put
00:21:30in their proper position to get a code to unlock the next box.
00:21:33Alicia is finally in.
00:21:34Alicia is opening up the box.
00:21:36Here we go.
00:21:36You're competing for immunity here.
00:21:38Immunity from being sent home is massive going into the first week and really sets the tone for the rest
00:21:43of the competition.
00:21:47You can't open the lock.
00:21:48I'm looking down the line, and I just see boxes open.
00:21:51It's almost like they weren't even locked.
00:21:53And mine's the only one locked.
00:21:55I'm in trouble here.
00:21:56I can't remember math.
00:21:59Noah, as pretty as he is, not great at math.
00:22:02Okay.
00:22:03There you go.
00:22:03Take it off the shirt.
00:22:04That'll help your brain.
00:22:05Yeah.
00:22:05It's gonna be 10 by, um, no, no, six.
00:22:09Why?
00:22:09Because you subtract.
00:22:11Me and Brendan are not doing so well.
00:22:13Seven by six.
00:22:13Where'd you get 10?
00:22:14Maybe I have jumped into an alliance a little bit too quickly.
00:22:17But he was standing right next to me, so by association, I feel like that mini-alliance there just happened.
00:22:22But the only thing I know about him is that he is a terrible ally.
00:22:26Keisha, I will say this, though.
00:22:27The two guys from your cast are right now in last place.
00:22:31Yeah.
00:22:31Okay.
00:22:32Let's just not talk about that.
00:22:34There we go.
00:22:35Goodness gracious.
00:22:37Dean, you can't lose it now.
00:22:39You're ahead of the game.
00:22:41Sam's moving.
00:22:43Shake it, shake it.
00:22:47Dean is at the end right here.
00:22:49Could he be the first person to get to the Golden Hammer?
00:22:56So now I'm on this page that says, count how many Bachelor contestants there are.
00:23:00Middle digit, the number of Bachelorette contestants competing on this show.
00:23:03As I'm counting, I see Sam also kind of look up and start counting people.
00:23:07And I'm like, oh, gosh, okay, so I'm kind of in a head-to-head with Sam right now.
00:23:11Bottom digit, the number of Golden contestants competing on this show.
00:23:14You guys, this is for Immunity.
00:23:15Let's go.
00:23:20Here we go.
00:23:21Golden Hammer!
00:23:24Wow.
00:23:28Nice.
00:23:28Good job, Dean.
00:23:30Congratulations.
00:23:31You've won the Golden Hammer.
00:23:32And with that, Immunity.
00:23:34My wife will let me into the house now, I think, for not being the first one eliminated.
00:23:37Must be nice.
00:23:39Yeah!
00:23:42I am the first winner of the first competition.
00:23:45And you know what that means?
00:23:47I got Immunity.
00:23:48Week one, I'm safe.
00:23:49All thanks to this beautiful golden hammer.
00:23:53Oh!
00:23:54I did the math wrong.
00:23:55I did 140 the whole time.
00:23:57You did the math wrong, Brennan.
00:23:58That's so bad.
00:23:59Chris, how are you feeling right now?
00:24:01You didn't even get in the crate.
00:24:03Disappointed, but I'm not discouraged.
00:24:05Tammy, what happened there?
00:24:06See, I made an alliance, and I was really relying on him, but he was confusing me, so then my
00:24:11mind was all jumbled.
00:24:12Do you guys hear that?
00:24:13There's already an alliance started here.
00:24:15Never relying on him.
00:24:16Great team, too.
00:24:17Let me tell you.
00:24:17Something to take note of, though, because your alliance could either advance you or hurt you.
00:24:22This is only the beginning.
00:24:24The competition is just getting started.
00:24:26All right.
00:24:27Head inside.
00:24:28Get settled.
00:24:28You've got beds upstairs waiting for you.
00:24:31Bye!
00:24:34Feels so nice in here.
00:24:39Wonderful.
00:24:40Wow.
00:24:40Yeah.
00:24:42Oh, my God.
00:24:42Look at you, Tammy.
00:24:43I lift weights sometimes.
00:24:45Going back to my old room.
00:24:47There's three main bedrooms that the contestants sleep in on the show.
00:24:51There's, like, the primary bedroom, there's a middle bedroom, and then there's a bedroom just past that.
00:24:56That was the room that I slept in when I was a contestant on The Bachelorette.
00:24:59This was the best room in the house in 2017.
00:25:02Wow.
00:25:03Yep.
00:25:04It's just me and you.
00:25:05Let's just both take the bottom.
00:25:06It's huge.
00:25:07You want the bottom?
00:25:08No, both of us on the bottom.
00:25:09Perfect.
00:25:11What you got in there?
00:25:12Oh, we got a room in here.
00:25:13Shoot.
00:25:14I get top bunk, bro.
00:25:16Is this big enough for grown men?
00:25:18You saved the bottom for me?
00:25:19Yeah.
00:25:20I appreciate you.
00:25:22I've never slept in The Bachelorette Mansion before.
00:25:23I think I probably anticipated nicer bunk beds.
00:25:27There's a lot of work.
00:25:28Hopefully, uh, the bunk beds will be something that we get to do.
00:25:31Ah.
00:25:32Pretty nice.
00:25:33Pretty nice.
00:25:33This'll work.
00:25:34Girls' room.
00:25:37I've got a fireplace.
00:25:38Okay, this is me.
00:25:40Why do the beds look so small?
00:25:42Because they're child-size beds.
00:25:44This is where I was last time.
00:25:47This is where I feel most comfy.
00:25:49This is so nostalgic.
00:25:50So I was in the top bunk and Sandra was underneath me and we were in the small bedroom all
00:25:55the way at the end, which had like a major storage problem.
00:25:59Is this the closet space?
00:26:00Do you like top or bottom?
00:26:02Bottom.
00:26:02Okay.
00:26:03I can't climb up.
00:26:03I'll go up.
00:26:04There's really like no room for our suitcases, Ethan.
00:26:06Did you ever try to use the shower?
00:26:08I showered downstairs.
00:26:09I did everything downstairs because here it's like you're on full display.
00:26:12It was challenging.
00:26:14Yeah.
00:26:16We should walk down there.
00:26:17It's totally different.
00:26:18I want to check out.
00:26:18You show me the way.
00:26:20I'll show you the way.
00:26:20Y'all go down there.
00:26:21I'm gonna keep observing this place.
00:26:24Are you keeping it real?
00:26:25Always.
00:26:26You know that.
00:26:26Let me know if you form any alliances.
00:26:28Nah.
00:26:28Yeah, me too.
00:26:29Don't worry.
00:26:30I'm not turning my back on you guys.
00:26:31You're not allianting off?
00:26:33I think maybe we should.
00:26:34I really like him.
00:26:34I like him too.
00:26:35If there are alliances to be made, I mean, I would love to connect with you.
00:26:40You being Mr. Goldhammer and all, you wouldn't vote me off, would you?
00:26:44I was just thinking that.
00:26:45Not this soon?
00:26:46No, I wouldn't vote anybody off.
00:26:48I would hate to be in that position and have to vote someone off.
00:26:50I feel like such a dick regardless of who it is.
00:26:53You can vote me off.
00:26:54Just please make it later.
00:26:55No, I wouldn't.
00:26:55I wouldn't be that.
00:26:56Dean and I are pals.
00:26:57I've waxed Dean in golf many times, so, you know, he's your little brother, you know?
00:27:03Make a truce right now.
00:27:04You take me to the end, I take you to the end.
00:27:05Shall we?
00:27:06Yeah.
00:27:06Should we make a truce?
00:27:08Oh, .
00:27:08Did you actually spit?
00:27:10No, I didn't.
00:27:13This is the matchup that I was waiting for.
00:27:15I'm like, when am I going to meet Tammy?
00:27:16Have we never met?
00:27:17We've never met.
00:27:18I feel like I've met all of you because it's all online.
00:27:20I know.
00:27:21I know.
00:27:21I'm just like your parasocial friend.
00:27:23Yeah.
00:27:24Oh.
00:27:24I know.
00:27:25Well, great to meet you.
00:27:26Cheers.
00:27:26Great to meet you.
00:27:26Cheers.
00:27:27This is very curious to find out how they're going to do the eliminations.
00:27:30Like, is it going to be like a voting off thing?
00:27:33Truth be told, I feel like a lot of people want, everyone's being nice.
00:27:39This is day one.
00:27:40Mm-hmm.
00:27:40I think that's going to change real quick.
00:27:42If that's what it turns into.
00:27:43I agree.
00:27:50Oh, my God.
00:27:51Where's the coffee?
00:27:52Look at y'all.
00:27:53It's necessary.
00:27:55Ooh.
00:27:56Bates goodies.
00:27:58Oh, I hope there's coffee.
00:27:59Oh, my God.
00:27:59I love scones.
00:28:01Oh, this looks good.
00:28:03I can afford to eat some of that this morning.
00:28:05You know, I did my two miles already.
00:28:07You ran?
00:28:07You kept me up all night.
00:28:09Did I know my last night, for real?
00:28:10A little bit.
00:28:10How'd you sleep?
00:28:11I slept all right.
00:28:12Yeah?
00:28:13Somebody in our room was talking in their sleep.
00:28:16Did you hear that?
00:28:17I think I heard her.
00:28:19I couldn't understand what she was saying.
00:28:21Maybe she was talking about her gameplay.
00:28:23Oh, I should have listened in.
00:28:24She might be really good.
00:28:26Jeremy, don't believe what they say about you.
00:28:28You're a doll.
00:28:28Jeremy gave me a coffee.
00:28:30This morning, I'm not really nervous.
00:28:32I'm more excited.
00:28:33This is HGTV, but it also is Bachelor Nation at the end of the day,
00:28:37so I know how important relationships are.
00:28:39There's no place to sit in this kitchen.
00:28:41You could probably do, like, eight parcels there.
00:28:43I mean, you could seat a lot of people here.
00:28:44And you don't need this weird thing right here.
00:28:47There's a lot of weird things in this house.
00:28:48But, like, this is so bulky.
00:28:49Yeah, it is big.
00:28:50You gotta get rid of the chevron.
00:28:51Absolutely.
00:28:52It needs to go.
00:28:52Hey, everybody, how we feeling?
00:28:54Good morning.
00:28:55Good morning.
00:28:56All right, please get changed and meet me in the mixer room.
00:28:59All right, let's go.
00:29:00Let's go.
00:29:01Fire it up.
00:29:04Let's do it.
00:29:05Good.
00:29:05You ladies can sit first.
00:29:07It's a go time.
00:29:08And I was just, like, immediately tense.
00:29:10Maybe it's the trauma from the years of this show,
00:29:14but I feel like, oh, God, what is it gonna be?
00:29:17Hey, everybody.
00:29:18Hey.
00:29:18How are we doing? Good to see you all.
00:29:20Doing good.
00:29:21Well, I hope you all slept well last night,
00:29:22because today the real competition begins.
00:29:27That room you slept in last night,
00:29:31that's the room that you're gonna be renovating this week.
00:29:34Yes.
00:29:34Yes.
00:29:35Okay, so here's how the teams break down.
00:29:38The two smaller bunk rooms will join forces,
00:29:40forming one team of six.
00:29:42The larger bunk room, that's another team of six.
00:29:46Let's go!
00:29:47You guys are so done with it.
00:29:50We did good.
00:29:52Let's go.
00:29:53It's bachelors versus bachelorettes.
00:29:56I'm really excited, I'm happy,
00:29:57I'm fired up about this first challenge.
00:29:59I think that the guys are gonna come up
00:30:01with some beautiful rooms.
00:30:02Yes!
00:30:03We, we got this.
00:30:05Great.
00:30:05All of the brain power is together.
00:30:07We all have a background in design or architecture.
00:30:11It might be a little challenging for the men
00:30:13to compete with the women.
00:30:14These aren't just makeovers.
00:30:16They're gonna be solving real-life mansion problems.
00:30:21Storage, space.
00:30:23Privacy.
00:30:24Just think back to your time here.
00:30:25What was missing?
00:30:26Would you maybe have made your rooms more comfortable?
00:30:29Maybe more inviting?
00:30:30On my season, there were all kinds of challenges.
00:30:33Lighting, privacy.
00:30:35So we need to make a home away from home here.
00:30:38You're gonna be judged on design,
00:30:40solving for storage space, privacy,
00:30:43while elevating the look of that room.
00:30:47Execution, qualities of your craftsmanship,
00:30:50your attention to detail,
00:30:52and also how well you all bring your ideas together.
00:30:55Then finally, creativity, fresh ideas,
00:30:58bold solutions, and design choices
00:31:00that really make that bunk room stand out.
00:31:04Nail those, head right to the top.
00:31:06But you fall short.
00:31:08You could be facing elimination.
00:31:11Okay.
00:31:12Right out front, we've built you a fully stocked workshop.
00:31:15Tools, lumber, paint, anything and everything you need
00:31:18to bring your visions to life.
00:31:20Now, you're also gonna have a team of carpenters
00:31:22to help you along the way.
00:31:24And that's not all.
00:31:26Each team will be responsible
00:31:28for creating four custom bunk beds
00:31:30enough to sleep eight people across your rooms.
00:31:33Additionally, Wayfair is providing furniture
00:31:36and decor for this challenge.
00:31:38You only have just four days to pull this all off
00:31:42and transform your spaces.
00:31:44That's not a lot of days.
00:31:46We have a limited budget, and we have limited time.
00:31:49But we're gonna make it happen.
00:31:50Because if we don't get it right,
00:31:53one of us could be going home after this challenge.
00:31:56All right, everybody.
00:31:57The clock is ticking,
00:31:58and the renovation challenge starts now.
00:32:02Let's go. Let's go.
00:32:03I have full faith that we will win this challenge.
00:32:05I'm a very competitive person.
00:32:06Let's go, Tammy. Go, go.
00:32:08So, I'm here to bring it,
00:32:09and honestly, I'm here to win.
00:32:11Go, go, Brandon.
00:32:14Game Boyz.
00:32:16You finally let me lose.
00:32:18Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:32:19First impressions walking into the bedroom.
00:32:21The colors on the wall are as depressing
00:32:24as some of the stories of the people
00:32:26who leave this mansion in heartbreak.
00:32:28But the tiles that surround the bottom
00:32:30of the whole mansion are great.
00:32:33There are good windows.
00:32:34There are good wood doors.
00:32:35So, a lot of bones are there already.
00:32:37Oh, my God. We have so much to do.
00:32:40So, the current state of the room that we're in
00:32:42is purple walls.
00:32:45What?
00:32:46But honestly, it's not terrible.
00:32:49I love there's a fireplace in the bedroom.
00:32:52There's, you know, an applique on the ceiling.
00:32:56And as a preservation planner,
00:32:58I want to preserve the character-defining features
00:33:02that make The Bachelor Mansion special.
00:33:04Some people don't like the tile,
00:33:06but I think we have to keep the tile
00:33:08because that's a character-defining feature.
00:33:10You know, like, it has to feel Mediterranean.
00:33:12Out here, let's talk about the use.
00:33:14I feel like I would do my makeup out here.
00:33:16I would, too. We did.
00:33:17I did my makeup out here.
00:33:18How about, like, a cute little fire pit
00:33:19with four chairs
00:33:21that then can be utilized in the morning
00:33:22when you want to sit here and do your makeup?
00:33:24I feel like the girls are going to go, like,
00:33:26a neutral, like, light color.
00:33:29Yeah.
00:33:29Less is more.
00:33:30Do you guys want to keep it, like,
00:33:31the Mediterranean vibe, though?
00:33:32Yeah.
00:33:33Well, it gives a character to the house.
00:33:35What about, like, a Santorini vibe?
00:33:37Bright white, light blue, and then mosaics.
00:33:39That's Mediterranean.
00:33:41Terracotta is super popular right now.
00:33:44Or, like, an olive color green.
00:33:46That, like, falls into the category
00:33:48of Mediterranean-style home.
00:33:50All right, hear me out. What if we do this?
00:33:51What if we do bright white walls,
00:33:53bright blue ceiling?
00:33:55You're stuck on that blue, aren't you?
00:33:56I am. I am.
00:33:57I'm not going to rest on it, either.
00:33:58When you walk in,
00:33:59your eyes are going to gravitate towards the ceiling
00:34:01if you have a too bright of a color.
00:34:04We don't want the room to feel smaller than it actually is.
00:34:06I think it would look bigger.
00:34:06It doesn't need to be a bright blue.
00:34:08It could be more of a muted light blue.
00:34:09I'm actually really on board with your idea now.
00:34:12I would paint everything the same color.
00:34:15The blue ceiling for me,
00:34:16that's something I do not want to do at all.
00:34:19I'm just afraid it could look a little tacky.
00:34:21It could look like a kid's room.
00:34:23In general, I think less is more.
00:34:25I've always liked to use individual pieces to accent,
00:34:28not colors.
00:34:29I like that.
00:34:30I've never seen a blue ceiling,
00:34:32unless at a museum with clouds.
00:34:38Wow.
00:34:39Okay, guys.
00:34:40Okay.
00:34:41So we have to decide on all of our materials.
00:34:44Paints, fabric, hardware, furniture.
00:34:46And so we have a lot of work to do.
00:34:49Does anybody have any initial ideas?
00:34:51I think we need a space plan first.
00:34:53So we have really not amazing walls.
00:34:56We have a huge fireplace.
00:34:57Mm-hmm.
00:34:57We have a door that takes up a lot of room.
00:34:59But we're thinking bunk beds out here on either side,
00:35:02and then the same thing over here.
00:35:04So this is going to be two bunk beds.
00:35:05But we're hoping we can make them so they face each other,
00:35:08because otherwise we have a door issue over here.
00:35:09We should use these spaces for, like, vanity space.
00:35:13For makeup.
00:35:14If it was tall enough,
00:35:15and everyone could just slide their suitcases under here,
00:35:17and that way it's just one shelf,
00:35:18people can put their stuff on the shelf,
00:35:20and now you're not taking up so much real estate
00:35:22in another enclosure that's sticking out of the wall.
00:35:24We talked about creating arches over on this side,
00:35:26so it kind of mirrors the fireplace.
00:35:28Yeah.
00:35:29Probably not doing them over here.
00:35:30So these are going to be, like,
00:35:31little different spaces, right?
00:35:32Oh, I wish we would.
00:35:33Do you think we're going to do arches over there?
00:35:34Yeah, there's, like, the principles of design,
00:35:36we have to have repetition and balance,
00:35:37so it's very ridiculous to look.
00:35:39Uncontinuity.
00:35:40Can I say something?
00:35:41I thought that I was loud, and I had a strong personality.
00:35:45Whoa!
00:35:46I don't, actually.
00:35:47Are the bunk beds going to be painted or no?
00:35:49I think we should use a white oak.
00:35:51Okay.
00:35:51I agree.
00:35:52You know?
00:35:53Do we have an idea of what type for the bumps?
00:35:56We want to make sure they look really high-end.
00:35:59I think the thorn in the side is the fireplace.
00:36:01That's a big thing to decide on.
00:36:03What we should do is we should wrap this to the ceiling
00:36:05and have storage in it,
00:36:07and I think that we should be utilizing a similar white oak
00:36:10or something that's going to mesh well with it.
00:36:14Could we maybe gut what's inside here
00:36:17and instead of it being a functional fireplace,
00:36:19what if this is, like, a nook that we put books or shelves or, like...
00:36:22The challenge is to create a solution for these bunk beds,
00:36:26and the fireplace doesn't work, it's not being lit,
00:36:29and it doesn't serve a purpose besides its beauty.
00:36:31But I think that there's not going to be very much usable storage in there,
00:36:35and why are we going to make this space smaller
00:36:37when it is, like, a vaulted element?
00:36:39Because it's not used as space.
00:36:40You can't really use it.
00:36:41I think that we have to stay true to the fireplace,
00:36:44or else it's just an insert fireplace, and it's kind of weird.
00:36:47That's my one ask.
00:36:48I agree.
00:36:49Wait, we also need to pick more paint colors.
00:36:51Yeah, let's think about paint colors.
00:36:54Yeah, let's think...
00:36:54I really love a baby blue and a pop of red.
00:36:57Red?
00:36:57I want something new, something bright.
00:36:59I love dove white or gray.
00:37:00I think gray is a relaxing color for sleep.
00:37:03Alicia, what do you think? Greens or blues?
00:37:05The greens, I love this sage.
00:37:06It's a gorgeous color.
00:37:08Where do we go something with roses?
00:37:10Like a red wall.
00:37:11I mean, I'm open to all ideas.
00:37:14Okay.
00:37:14Wow.
00:37:15Six voices all at once?
00:37:16I can't be quiet, because I don't want to be left out.
00:37:18I have a real contribution to make.
00:37:21We need to discuss the finish of the paint.
00:37:23All right, so let's talk about what walls are going with.
00:37:26That's what they need.
00:37:27Flat.
00:37:27Semi-gloss.
00:37:29What's happening in this space?
00:37:30But, but, but, do we want flat?
00:37:32Well, if we did like a sagey green plus neutral colors,
00:37:35I think that'll tie in what we kind of want.
00:37:37Okay, but, but, but, do we want flat?
00:37:39I love white, white for a ceiling.
00:37:40I think it makes the space look the biggest I personally love.
00:37:43One more to ask.
00:37:44We need to select the finish.
00:37:48One more to ask.
00:37:49We need to select the finish of the paint.
00:37:53Are we going flat?
00:37:55Flat.
00:37:55Semi, whatever.
00:37:56Period.
00:37:57Like this flat.
00:37:57Yeah, I think this is it.
00:37:59It's got to be like wipeable.
00:38:00Whatever this is.
00:38:02Okay.
00:38:02It's a flat.
00:38:03Excellent.
00:38:04Excellent.
00:38:06Take a breath.
00:38:07Whew.
00:38:13That Greek villa is really pretty with the sage.
00:38:16We all like the sage.
00:38:17If you look outside of that bedroom door and out of those windows,
00:38:20you see these beautiful mountains.
00:38:21You see the palm trees.
00:38:22We want to mirror the nature.
00:38:23So for the walls, we have sagey.
00:38:26For the trim, we have Greek villa.
00:38:28And for the ceiling, we have high reflective white.
00:38:31Yes?
00:38:32Yes.
00:38:32You got it.
00:38:33Love.
00:38:34Copy.
00:38:34There we go.
00:38:36Guys, we need to get rid of this medieval door.
00:38:39Yeah.
00:38:39Absolutely.
00:38:40Delete.
00:38:41Delete.
00:38:45It needs to be a sea blue, not a sky blue.
00:38:48No, I think that's way more grease.
00:38:49This one is?
00:38:50Yeah.
00:38:51Still don't like it, but...
00:38:54So I throw out the Santorini idea, and the guys are not feeling it at all,
00:38:57but I put up a sample on the wall.
00:38:59I think white walls and a blue ceiling is an absolutely fantastic idea.
00:39:03And I think I'm slowly starting to get the guys to agree with me.
00:39:06Bro, on the ceiling, I kind of like it.
00:39:08This one or that one?
00:39:08No, the brighter one.
00:39:10Which one? Is that mine, or is that me?
00:39:11Yeah, yeah, yours, Sam.
00:39:12Dean, he is contributing a lot to the team and some good ideas,
00:39:15and he's not afraid to do something crazy.
00:39:18We have two rooms, so that's an advantage for us.
00:39:20Yeah.
00:39:20That's our safety valve. This is our passion project.
00:39:23I don't know.
00:39:25So are we in agreement on blue plate for the ceiling?
00:39:28Good.
00:39:28I think Sam and Bea are a little hesitant on it, but...
00:39:31I've always said no on the blue ceiling.
00:39:34That wouldn't be my first choice.
00:39:36That's not my natural preference.
00:39:37Envision that right there, blue ceiling with the dark colored doors.
00:39:41No, because the white in the middle will break it up enough.
00:39:43So after talking in circles for far too long,
00:39:46we need to come to some type of agreement and move forward quickly.
00:39:49Yeah, I mean, the white will break it up.
00:39:51Um, that was my only, that's my last thing.
00:39:54Do you guys want to win the challenge?
00:39:55Yeah.
00:39:56Then we should do the Santorini room.
00:39:59Yeah, let's just do it.
00:40:00All in favor, say hi.
00:40:02Yeah, whatever.
00:40:03We'll make it look good.
00:40:04Yeah.
00:40:05Finally, the Santorini idea that I've had is going to come to life.
00:40:07I've guaranteed victory to my teammates.
00:40:09And if we don't succeed, I will look like an ultimate fool.
00:40:12But I'm not going home, so I don't care.
00:40:16I like it.
00:40:17I like it.
00:40:18Deliberations are over.
00:40:20We also got to think about patio.
00:40:21We get furniture out here and some cool stuff.
00:40:24It's time for the team to move on to the other room.
00:40:26A safer, more neutral room.
00:40:29Not as crazy as Santorini.
00:40:31So this is our Tuscany room here.
00:40:34That's for the wall, right?
00:40:35This is the wall.
00:40:37And then I'm saying the ceiling as well, but...
00:40:41Yeah.
00:40:41Yeah, that looks good.
00:40:42I think with the wood, we could do a cool accent wall.
00:40:45100%, yeah.
00:40:46We could do a four-foot vanity right here.
00:40:49Dude, this is going to be the best area of the room.
00:40:51It'll be a very cozy nook area with chairs and a table in both rooms.
00:40:55I think we're getting real close, boys.
00:40:57Are we ready?
00:40:59Boring ready.
00:40:59I wonder if the guys have any of this in their rooms.
00:41:03We have to get rid of the weird little window that peeks into the bathroom.
00:41:10There's an applique on the ceiling.
00:41:14I can reuse it in some way.
00:41:15I don't think we want this.
00:41:17Well, let's just save it. Why not?
00:41:19Let's get some of these tools out of here, brother.
00:41:27See ya.
00:41:31My first bunk bed.
00:41:33Wait, did you guys do that one too?
00:41:35Yeah.
00:41:36These look good.
00:41:36I know, right?
00:41:38Solid. Solid.
00:41:40Yay!
00:41:41The fireplace wall is very difficult.
00:41:43So, if we go back to our arch ID.
00:41:46We have these two beds that are coming together, like toe to toe.
00:41:49We have this beautiful arch.
00:41:50The problem is we can't figure out what to do on the other side.
00:41:53We have sets of bunk beds coming out, so they're on either side of the fireplace.
00:41:57We can't figure out how to work the arches in.
00:41:59So, we had to go back to the drawing board.
00:42:01They're still designing.
00:42:03What's going on over here?
00:42:05You want to see this, Jill?
00:42:06Right now, as it is, we have the two bunk beds here in the fireplace.
00:42:11We need to do some kind of arch because we have the arch as a feature on the other side.
00:42:16So, I think we have to continue it somewhere here.
00:42:18We see a lot of arches and curvature throughout the entire house.
00:42:23So, we wanted to mimic a few of them to create balance and continuity in the space.
00:42:30What did we miss?
00:42:31This is changing.
00:42:32We're not changing.
00:42:33It's not changing.
00:42:33We're just trying to figure out that arch.
00:42:35We don't have a design for the two bunk beds in the fireplace.
00:42:37But with the fireplace, you have to remember that it's vaulted this way.
00:42:41So, it's not going to line up with anything.
00:42:43Unless we build a wall on either side.
00:42:45No!
00:42:46I know.
00:42:46I know.
00:42:47I know.
00:42:47We're not building a wall.
00:42:50I want to go see what the guys are doing.
00:42:54Watch it.
00:42:54Watch it.
00:42:55Enemy above.
00:42:56We're having a little bit of a hard time.
00:42:58That's why I just walked away.
00:42:59Courtney, give us a scoop.
00:43:00What's going on over there?
00:43:01You can tell us.
00:43:01I was going to ask your design opinion, but...
00:43:04You can ask.
00:43:06Arches on the bunk beds.
00:43:07It's been like a point of contention all day.
00:43:10I have a hard no on that.
00:43:11And that's my honest answer, too.
00:43:14You got to go in there and put your foot down.
00:43:16I've been trying.
00:43:18How funny is it that Courtney comes over here asking for advice?
00:43:21Yeah, they're struggling over there.
00:43:22So, we're not doing the arches on the end anymore?
00:43:24No.
00:43:25We could do the arches on the side.
00:43:26So, let's say we move this out 24 inches, move it 24 inches into the room, it gives us
00:43:30an arch on the side.
00:43:31I don't think that we need the arches, and I've said that like 1,000 times today.
00:43:35Bye, ladies!
00:43:36Y'all have fun!
00:43:37Bye!
00:43:37Bye, guys!
00:43:38Bye, boys!
00:43:39Love you!
00:43:39Good luck!
00:43:43All right, I think we should wrap it up.
00:43:45Like, I don't think we should keep designing it.
00:43:47I think we've over-designed it.
00:43:48I think we should sleep on it.
00:43:49Okay.
00:43:50You can't walk off when there's a time crunch.
00:43:54Jill!
00:43:55Take me with you!
00:43:57I don't respect that.
00:43:58And I don't want to work with a teammate who's going to do that to us.
00:44:01I think, uh, after talking to the girls for a second, I'm a little more confident.
00:44:04I'm much more confident.
00:44:05Where we stand.
00:44:05Little infighting going on over there.
00:44:07Told you that would happen.
00:44:09I think you did say that.
00:44:10No, I'm actually, like, genuinely, like, proud of us that we came up with a great game
00:44:16plan, so.
00:44:17It's pretty funny to see six strong-willed gentlemen, uh, agree a lot of times, you know?
00:44:21Yeah, yeah.
00:44:22Because I think it could have gone a different way.
00:44:24Oh, yeah.
00:44:25Lord have mercy!
00:44:27I cannot hear the word arch one more time.
00:44:32I feel like we keep having the same conversation.
00:44:35It's, like, the definition of insanity.
00:44:37Yeah.
00:44:38Personally.
00:44:38I don't want to be a bad team player and let them run in a circle, but I also don't
00:44:44want to run in a circle.
00:44:46This needs to be special.
00:44:47We're good.
00:44:47I think so.
00:44:48If this does not land, we're dead.
00:44:50I feel like I'm getting on people's nerves, but, like, we kind of have to get this squared
00:44:53away.
00:44:54I'm so sad we couldn't box out our higher place.
00:44:58It would have solved so many problems.
00:45:00I tried.
00:45:01I think it would have looked a lot more built in.
00:45:03It would have...
00:45:06I'm nervous.
00:45:16We got work to do.
00:45:18It's day two.
00:45:19We have the bunk challenge.
00:45:20We haven't finalized about half of the details.
00:45:22And with the timeline we have, it's gonna be tight.
00:45:26Obviously, we got our beds.
00:45:27Ladder goes up right here.
00:45:28And run curtains from here to there, correct?
00:45:31We would agree that whatever draperies in the room use the same color drapery for the
00:45:35privacy curtains.
00:45:36It's the same person answering.
00:45:37If we can trim and hem it...
00:45:38I mean, unless somebody's a seamstress, I'm not...
00:45:41I'll get after it.
00:45:42I gotta go back to being 12 years old, but I think it's in there.
00:45:47Listen, I think yesterday was a lot.
00:45:51It kind of felt like everybody was off to the races, and it all happened so quickly.
00:45:55I, like, replayed a lot of conversations in my mind last night, and I was like, that
00:46:00person said that, and I don't think we really acknowledged it and maybe really considered
00:46:03it.
00:46:04It sounds like it's the bed still.
00:46:06It sounds like it's the fireplace still.
00:46:07That's why I was getting a little frustrated because it was like, oh my gosh, the arches,
00:46:11and, like, I thought we would have something locked in.
00:46:14But then it was like we kind of kept backsliding.
00:46:16I think we have to be more decisive.
00:46:18I think we have to stick to a certain plan.
00:46:21Because we need to move forward.
00:46:23I think that's just what makes this challenge so much harder than I thought it was going to
00:46:27be.
00:46:28We're working on teams.
00:46:29We're working with, you know, the existing parameters of the room.
00:46:33I think that it's not easy.
00:46:34If it was my dream world, I would design the arches on either side of the fireplace,
00:46:40but I would rather not waste any more time and just give in.
00:46:44Details are really important.
00:46:46It's going to be what's going to set us apart from them.
00:46:48So two of our four bunk beds is going to have the arch and making them look built in,
00:46:54but the other two bunk beds on either side of the fireplace won't.
00:46:58Okay, this is what we're going with.
00:47:00I love you guys.
00:47:00I think we're going to do really good.
00:47:07Hey, our Sherwin Williams paints here.
00:47:09Favorite part of the day right here.
00:47:13We got to kick it into high gear and get something done.
00:47:16There's a decent amount of painting that I want to do in the Tuscany room.
00:47:19We need to make the final decisions on the bunk beds and start building the desk.
00:47:25Dean is painting the Santorini blue and the white walls.
00:47:29You know, if the judges don't like this, it's entirely my fault.
00:47:32But I got a golden hammer, so I'm going to be safe.
00:47:37So much better.
00:47:39So much better today.
00:47:40We were all a little stressed yesterday.
00:47:42Making decisions that quickly with six different opinions is very hard.
00:47:47We were all coming from the Bachelor world and I think hoping to leave that dramatic side behind and focus
00:47:54on just the design.
00:47:56So coming together and working as a team while also getting to know these ladies, I think we handled it
00:48:01really well.
00:48:02There we go. She's going to do a heart.
00:48:07No more design right now.
00:48:09Finally, I'm out here getting my hands on some tools.
00:48:12So right now I'm building the multi-purpose vanity desk for the Tuscany room.
00:48:20Building some legs and then I'm going to cut with a baseboard that this is all going to slide up
00:48:24against.
00:48:27I don't know about you guys, but when I was thinking about it going up on this bed, I was
00:48:31thinking about it running vertically like this.
00:48:33Or it's going to look like this.
00:48:35It looks better in my opinion to be vertical.
00:48:37Yeah, I think vertical too.
00:48:38I think that's perfect if we just...
00:48:40And then we should paint the Tuscany bunk beds brown and the Santorini bunk beds white.
00:48:46I think like anytime you envision like a Santorini themed room, I think it's like clean, you know, not too
00:48:52much to overwhelm the space.
00:48:53No decorative on the bed and no decorative on the wall.
00:48:56Yeah, for none for Santorini.
00:48:58Yesterday we were spending way too much time trying to figure out what paint color we want.
00:49:02What's next?
00:49:03Let's figure it out. Let's get the next bunk beds.
00:49:05Now we're making decisions on the fly.
00:49:07It really kind of instills a sense of confidence.
00:49:09And I don't even know how to explain how excited we would be if we won.
00:49:14Curtains that are going to be the green.
00:49:16The green, which I love.
00:49:21Somebody's here.
00:49:25Who's that?
00:49:26Oh.
00:49:27What?
00:49:30This is so crazy.
00:49:31Oh, is it a date card?
00:49:33No, no, no, no.
00:49:34Uh-oh, come on.
00:49:35Breaking news, breaking news.
00:49:36We have a fate card.
00:49:40A fate card.
00:49:42What?
00:49:43A date card means good news because we have our own individual time with The Bachelor.
00:49:48Hannah B.
00:49:50Oh, my God.
00:49:52True love is on the horizon.
00:49:54Alicia.
00:49:54Yes, yes, yes.
00:49:56Time to shoot your shot.
00:49:58A fate card.
00:49:59A fate card.
00:50:00A fate card.
00:50:01What the?
00:50:02Okay.
00:50:03No.
00:50:04See what that means.
00:50:05This is so scary.
00:50:06Just when I thought I was done with date cards.
00:50:09Here comes a card.
00:50:10But it's not a date card this time.
00:50:11It's a fate card.
00:50:12Anytime any kind of card comes, it becomes intense.
00:50:16You don't know what that person is about to read.
00:50:18Roses are red, violets are blue.
00:50:21Two people will be going home.
00:50:23Don't let it be you.
00:50:24In one hour, each team will vote off one member of their own team.
00:50:29What?
00:50:30What?
00:50:31Are you serious?
00:50:32This is brutal.
00:50:33What?
00:50:34That is stone cold, man.
00:50:37In one hour?
00:50:38That's tough.
00:50:39I thought we would at least get through one challenge.
00:50:42Yeah.
00:50:42For sure.
00:50:43This is really sad.
00:50:44I feel like I'm gonna throw up.
00:50:45This is terrible.
00:50:49This sucks.
00:50:50I'm shocked.
00:50:51I hate this.
00:50:53Oof.
00:50:53My tummy is not feeling good right now.
00:50:56Like one of us won't be able to see this through is insane.
00:50:59Yeah, no kidding.
00:51:00Yeah.
00:51:00This is so sad.
00:51:01I guess this is kind of like the first taste of like the realness of it all, you know?
00:51:04Yeah.
00:51:05So the bomb just got dropped.
00:51:06Everyone's freaking out.
00:51:07Two people are about to go home.
00:51:09But I'm not gonna be one of them because I got that golden hammer.
00:51:12Thank goodness.
00:51:12But I'm pretty stressed out about this.
00:51:14I don't want to vote for anyone.
00:51:16I can't believe they're doing this.
00:51:18I'm a little pissed.
00:51:19This is a little too cutthroat and brutal for my liking.
00:51:22Yeah.
00:51:22We all like love and respect each other right now.
00:51:25So this is just like a random pick.
00:51:27At this point, do you vote for someone who is the most skilled or contributing the most?
00:51:34But why would you try to get rid of somebody if this just started that contributes a lot?
00:51:39Because they're the biggest competition.
00:51:41Let's talk about why we're here and what we hope to get out of this and maybe that will help.
00:51:47I think like this is my calling.
00:51:48I did take a break to try to like find love and it didn't work out.
00:51:51Maybe it is just time for me to fall in love with my own life and my own career.
00:51:56When I left Paradise, I kind of realized like no one's coming to save me.
00:52:01Like I have to make it for myself.
00:52:03And like I'm not gonna lie, like the money would change my life.
00:52:06Being an architectural historian is not a high paying job.
00:52:10And so I've given up a lot to do what I love.
00:52:14Obviously my why is my family.
00:52:17Yeah.
00:52:17It's really expensive when you have kids.
00:52:19It really is.
00:52:20I would like to win the money for my family.
00:52:22And to, like I said, get back to myself because I've kind of lost myself.
00:52:27Listen, I don't know if I want to go so deep into it, but I've had a really rough childhood.
00:52:34I feel like there's always this chase to prove myself and for someone to be proud of me.
00:52:39I opened up my social club and not a congratulations or I'm not proud of you for my parents.
00:52:44So I think I'm trying to fulfill it in myself, but it's not easy.
00:52:57Well, I'm gonna go build a desk instead of sitting here.
00:53:00Yeah, get your mind off.
00:53:00Looking at each other.
00:53:02I gotta get some work done.
00:53:09As a Golden, you get very few opportunities to challenge yourself.
00:53:13You're too old.
00:53:14And I feel like this is a chance for me to prove that I still deserve to be seen.
00:53:20Can I piggyback off of being the oldie in here?
00:53:22I don't speak up enough because I think you can't have six chiefs.
00:53:27No, totally.
00:53:27You have to pull back to let leaders lead.
00:53:30Yeah.
00:53:31And followers follow.
00:53:32I think he's a phenomenal guy.
00:53:34I just think with the vision, he's just been one step behind what all of us have been trying to
00:53:39put down.
00:53:41Obviously, we all relate because we're younger.
00:53:43And that's kind of like the elephant in the room.
00:53:45Nobody wants to see anyone go home, but a hundred grand is a hundred grand and that's why we're here.
00:53:55Hi, everyone.
00:53:56Hi.
00:54:00You guys look a little somber coming in here.
00:54:02Yeah, what's going on? How are we all feeling?
00:54:05Stress.
00:54:06Shocked.
00:54:07Being asked to betray our comrades.
00:54:12I don't think we've had enough time to really judge each other on our merits.
00:54:16Seems a little early.
00:54:17I think at this point, you guys are starting to kind of realize this isn't just about your design skills.
00:54:23It also has to do with the relationships you're making.
00:54:26It is time to face your first elimination.
00:54:29Mm-hmm.
00:54:30So here's how it's going to work.
00:54:32Each team is going to vote out one member from their own team.
00:54:38Since Dean won immunity, he cannot be voted for.
00:54:41But there's more.
00:54:42Not only does Dean have immunity, he also has the power to break a tie.
00:54:46So if either team is deadlocked, he himself will choose who goes home.
00:54:55It's time to vote.
00:54:58Sam, let's start with you.
00:55:10This is a tough one.
00:55:15I just didn't hear your voice in this challenge and I really wish that I could have.
00:55:28Chris, I know a lot of the guys said that's who they're going to vote out.
00:55:31But I can't vote out a guy who just spent the whole day building a desk.
00:55:44Sucks.
00:55:47I thought she was the most difficult person to work with.
00:55:51I was always second-guessing if we were doing what was right for her and hearing her, so...
00:55:57I voted for Jill.
00:56:04The votes are in.
00:56:06Two of you will be leaving the mansion tonight.
00:56:09We'll begin with the bachelorettes.
00:56:14First vote...
00:56:18Courtney.
00:56:21Next vote...
00:56:26Sondra.
00:56:31Sondra.
00:56:33Next vote...
00:56:35is for...
00:56:37Jill.
00:56:41Sondra.
00:56:43Sondra.
00:56:44Last vote...
00:56:45Sondra.
00:56:47Damn.
00:56:53Sondra.
00:56:54You've been eliminated from the competition.
00:56:56Please say your goodbyes.
00:56:59Goodbyes.
00:57:00I love you.
00:57:02I got four votes.
00:57:04That's overwhelming.
00:57:05So I'm a little hurt, a little embarrassed.
00:57:09Crushed.
00:57:10Is there any advice you have for the remaining contestants?
00:57:13Watch it back.
00:57:16Now, Team Bachelors.
00:57:20First vote...
00:57:24Chris.
00:57:27Second vote...
00:57:29Jeremy.
00:57:34Chris.
00:57:39Chris.
00:57:46Jeremy.
00:57:50That's three votes for Chris, two votes for Jeremy.
00:57:53And the last vote of the night...
00:57:58is Jeremy.
00:58:00Oh, damn.
00:58:03That means...
00:58:06Three votes for Chris, and three votes for Jeremy.
00:58:08That's crazy.
00:58:10Dean, the final decision is in your hands.
00:58:29I voted based off of experience.
00:58:33I think Chris has a lot of experience, obviously.
00:58:37So I voted for Jeremy to leave.
00:58:39And I'm gonna stick with that.
00:58:41Hmm...
00:58:41Hmm...
00:58:43And with that, Jeremy, your time has come to an end.
00:58:48It was definitely shocking to see three of my teammates write my name down.
00:58:52Don't get me wrong.
00:58:53Chris definitely has that carpenter experience on me.
00:58:55He has decades of it.
00:58:57I'm sorry, really.
00:58:58I'm so good, man.
00:58:59I do think they're a bit naive, and there are a lot of other parts of this competition
00:59:02that will come up, so I don't think I'm the least experienced.
00:59:05But at the end of the day, it might help them win.
00:59:10Tomorrow, the bunk challenge continues, and the pressure only gets greater from here.
00:59:15Get some rest.
00:59:17Bye, guys.
00:59:18It's crazy.
00:59:19Wow.
00:59:30It's day three of the bunk room challenge.
00:59:33We still have a ton to do.
00:59:35In addition to the four sets of bunk beds, this was hard to cut, I know.
00:59:40Thank you for doing that.
00:59:41We also have to stain two credenzas that are going to go in the room, creating a place where
00:59:46you can do your makeup.
00:59:47What do you guys think about that length?
00:59:48Does it need to go to the floor, or is it good where it is?
00:59:50There's going to be the trundle there, and he got us some nice hardware.
00:59:54For the rest of the day, we are now going to focus on the little details.
00:59:57I think this is where all of us are going to be able to shine.
00:59:59A little higher.
01:00:00I only have this much to work with.
01:00:09I'm going to throw the top on real quick.
01:00:11Also, I wanted to say that I didn't vote for you, because I think you're one of the most
01:00:15knowledgeable people here.
01:00:16Yesterday was a game changer.
01:00:19Jeremy got voted out.
01:00:20And right now, I need to really watch my back.
01:00:24It looks so good.
01:00:25So when we look at it from the front, it looks like an old vintage desk.
01:00:28The whole thing's going to be green.
01:00:30Yeah.
01:00:31Except for the tops.
01:00:32And this, that's going to be walnut.
01:00:35You've got that OG craftsman knowledge and...
01:00:38I've got a lot of core experience.
01:00:40Yeah.
01:00:40And I just observe a lot right now to see what you guys are bringing to the table.
01:00:44It's a team contest right now.
01:00:46Later on, we can go for each other's throats if we want to.
01:00:49Yeah.
01:00:50But right now, that's it.
01:00:52It's us against them.
01:00:53Not me against you.
01:01:00Be careful of this thing.
01:01:02Oh, I know.
01:01:02What did you think about last night?
01:01:04Girl, I was really shocked.
01:01:06And I was a little pissed.
01:01:07Oh, 100% I was pissed.
01:01:09Also, it was, like, alarming that that might be the way the eliminations keep going.
01:01:13That's what I'm saying.
01:01:14Because Sondra had to vote for somebody.
01:01:16And it made me think, like, who else, yeah, somebody here voted for one of us.
01:01:23I asked Alicia this morning, like, did you vote for me?
01:01:27So she voted for Sondra.
01:01:29I don't know if people are telling me the truth, but, like, at the same time, it almost doesn't matter.
01:01:34And does it make a difference?
01:01:35No, it doesn't make a difference.
01:01:36I really think that Sondra voted for me.
01:01:40I feel like Joan could have.
01:01:41She could have voted for me.
01:01:43She could have voted for me.
01:01:50Looks good, man.
01:01:51Oh, yeah, dude.
01:01:53We need another two.
01:01:59I have no idea what the heck I'm doing over here.
01:02:01That's how every great project begins.
01:02:03Ooh, that looks good.
01:02:05I want to create my own custom art piece to hang on the wall, right, as you walk in the
01:02:09door in the Santorini room.
01:02:11Oops.
01:02:12Oops.
01:02:12I'm going to get a bunch of joint compound, put it on a canvas, and kind of smear it all
01:02:16around.
01:02:17I think that will match the minimalistic vibe that I was envisioning for that room.
01:02:21Not an artist by any stretch of the imagination.
01:02:24But I do like taking chances.
01:02:25So what better place to start and try it out than here when there's $100,000 on the line?
01:02:29And now that I say that out loud, that sounds pretty stupid, but it is what it is.
01:02:33We have three people who can sew.
01:02:35We might as well.
01:02:36Whoa.
01:02:37Is that hot enough?
01:02:38I think that's fine.
01:02:39Yeah, yeah.
01:02:40Perfect.
01:02:41Do we have a second iron that we could take from the boys if they're not using it?
01:02:45You wouldn't have to ask the boys.
01:02:48Okay.
01:02:50Don't act like it's a big deal at all.
01:02:51Just be like, hey, we need that iron.
01:02:56Hello.
01:02:57Hello.
01:03:01Next.
01:03:06Dude.
01:03:07Dude, those boys have never used an iron in their life.
01:03:09It's like taking candy from a baby.
01:03:11Yeah.
01:03:14This ivory looks sick.
01:03:16It's so cool.
01:03:18It was our iron.
01:03:19The girls took it.
01:03:21Dude, there's no way they stole our iron.
01:03:24You guys have an iron over there?
01:03:25We only have one.
01:03:27Oh, no, I'm not playing this game.
01:03:32Tammy.
01:03:33Jill.
01:03:34What?
01:03:35Who gave you that iron?
01:03:36We only got one.
01:03:38What?
01:03:39You have two irons.
01:03:42Boys, I need help.
01:03:44Noah.
01:03:45Noah.
01:03:45No.
01:03:46You have two irons.
01:03:48Noah.
01:03:49Boys, I need help.
01:03:50I can only do so much.
01:03:54Today has been mayhem.
01:03:56I'm definitely a competitive guy.
01:03:58I'm not going to, like, wrestle someone for an iron.
01:04:02Noah.
01:04:04We need the iron.
01:04:05We're almost done with it.
01:04:06You have two irons and you steal a man's one iron?
01:04:11You couldn't have helped a little.
01:04:13You couldn't have thrown something.
01:04:15I didn't know you...
01:04:16Distracted them.
01:04:17I didn't know they actually had two, though.
01:04:20She's beautiful.
01:04:22Yay!
01:04:22Delivery!
01:04:23I love it.
01:04:24It looks so good.
01:04:26I am honestly very nervous about the timeline.
01:04:29$100,000 is on the line, and it all is in the judges' hands tomorrow.
01:04:35It doesn't take up that much space.
01:04:37No, it doesn't.
01:04:37It literally looks so much better than I thought it was going to look.
01:04:40I know that everyone is really on top of the design, but we're all scrambling here because
01:04:45I don't know how we're going to get this done.
01:04:46Hey, Sam, if I say pivot, make sure you pivot quick, all right?
01:04:50We've got to stage this whole thing.
01:04:51We've got to get furniture everywhere.
01:04:53We've got our work cut out for us.
01:04:54Pivot!
01:04:55Pivot!
01:04:55Pivot!
01:04:56Pivoting!
01:04:58There's actually like a million things happening at once.
01:05:01People are building things.
01:05:02It's like a glove!
01:05:05Seamstress work.
01:05:06I like that.
01:05:07But I haven't seen what the girls are doing yet.
01:05:09I'm feeling good.
01:05:10I'm feeling confident.
01:05:11It looks so good.
01:05:12Dude.
01:05:13Chris is the goat, dude.
01:05:14I'm thinking that we could win this, but you just never know.
01:05:17People are going to be sleeping in here, staring up at the beautiful blue sky.
01:05:21There's a Wayfair truck out front.
01:05:24Woo!
01:05:26The big purple truck.
01:05:29Oh my goodness.
01:05:31Got some wicker stuff going on.
01:05:33Today, all our decor items come.
01:05:35We do all of our finishing touches.
01:05:36We're going to make sure that our room is better than theirs.
01:05:39I got it too.
01:05:41Those things are solid wood, I'm pretty sure.
01:05:44It's a quality piece, that's for sure.
01:05:48We got blue ladders, boys.
01:05:59Hey, were these the two that you wanted to stagger?
01:06:01Yeah.
01:06:03I like a stagger on the middle.
01:06:06I cannot believe we're getting judged tomorrow.
01:06:08I'm a little nervous for that.
01:06:10We're done for the night.
01:06:11We can't do any more work.
01:06:12But we have 30 more minutes tomorrow to try to make this happen.
01:06:15So let's go get some rest.
01:06:16We did great today.
01:06:17But the final push is tomorrow.
01:06:19I mean, we have to win this.
01:06:21So you only have one chance to get this right.
01:06:24Big concern of mine.
01:06:26Are we going to pull it off?
01:06:35Watch your step.
01:06:37Hey, we got to get mirrors hung.
01:06:39Fireplace.
01:06:39Make the beds.
01:06:40I would put that to the side a little bit.
01:06:42There's still a lot to do.
01:06:44And I don't know how we are going to get it ready for judging.
01:06:47Okay, perfect.
01:06:50Definitely.
01:06:51I think it looks really good, man.
01:06:53The fact that I got these guys to agree to a blue ceiling, it still blows my mind.
01:06:56Kind of sexy.
01:06:58We've got one minute left.
01:07:03Okay.
01:07:03We're done.
01:07:04Good job, guys.
01:07:05Let's go.
01:07:10Hey, everybody.
01:07:11Hi, guys.
01:07:12Good to see you all.
01:07:12How are we feeling?
01:07:14Good.
01:07:14We're good.
01:07:15It's better standing here in sneakers than in heels.
01:07:17Still stressful.
01:07:18Well, if there's one thing for sure, Jeremy and Sondra are proof that nobody's safe here.
01:07:23At the end of the day, it's $100,000 on the line.
01:07:28So, on to the bunk room challenge.
01:07:31You started with drab, lifeless rooms.
01:07:33They were begging for a makeover.
01:07:34You only had four days.
01:07:36I got to be honest.
01:07:38Can't wait to see what you created.
01:07:39But first, your judges.
01:07:44Tayshia and Tyler.
01:07:45Oh, hello.
01:07:46Good to see you.
01:07:47How are you?
01:07:48What's up, guys?
01:07:49Hi.
01:07:50They're going to decide which team delivered a stronger overall transformation.
01:07:54And that's the team that's going to be safe from elimination.
01:07:57I'm going to be looking at your guys' design choices.
01:08:00How you guys are going to address all the things that we've experienced living here in the house that kind
01:08:04of makes it tough.
01:08:05Like privacy, your storage.
01:08:08All those things while also still elevating the space and making it a fun place to be.
01:08:13I'll be looking at execution.
01:08:15Are the bunk beds solid?
01:08:16Are the details clean?
01:08:18Did you bring your vision to life through craftsmanship?
01:08:22Tyler and Tayshia, they're not your only judges.
01:08:26Oh.
01:08:26This week, we'll be joined by somebody who made her mark right here in the mansion.
01:08:32Oh.
01:08:37Hi.
01:08:38Oh, boy.
01:08:41Tyler and Tayshia, they're not your only judges.
01:08:46Please welcome...
01:08:48Oh.
01:08:49...Hannah Brown.
01:08:50Hi.
01:08:51Hi.
01:08:53I love Hannah Brown.
01:08:54I'm so excited that she's here.
01:08:56Interior design, it's a little bit of an art, and you kind of have to have a good eye.
01:08:59And I think Hannah has great taste.
01:09:02I am so excited to be here.
01:09:04Hannah's journey here was certainly unforgettable.
01:09:07Hannah B.
01:09:09Just freaking trust me.
01:09:10I'm glad I'm here, but I don't feel very good.
01:09:14I'm the bachelor.
01:09:16Bring on the man.
01:09:17Part the seas.
01:09:19Hannah B. is coming at you.
01:09:20Oh, my freak.
01:09:22Ah!
01:09:24Even before her time on The Bachelorette, she was already making her mark as an interior designer.
01:09:29Thanks, Jessie.
01:09:30I'm looking for bold choices, livable design, and just a room that really shines.
01:09:37We finally get to see how our rooms stack up against the ladies' room.
01:09:41I think our team deserves to win because we thought outside of the box.
01:09:46We painted the ceiling blue.
01:09:48We took some chances.
01:09:49In the end, they're going to decide which team delivered a stronger overall transformation,
01:09:54and that's the team that's going to be safe from elimination.
01:09:58So let's get into it.
01:10:00You all stay here.
01:10:01We're going to go tour the men's space first.
01:10:03We'll be back.
01:10:04I don't feel as confident as I would like to be.
01:10:07It's making me a bit nervous that we haven't really seen what the boys have done.
01:10:10It really could go any way at this point.
01:10:16I believe the theme of this room is Santorini.
01:10:21A little plastic piece.
01:10:22I like that.
01:10:23This is great.
01:10:24This is the unique touch that we were looking for.
01:10:27This maybe was why Dean has immunity.
01:10:29Oh.
01:10:30Well, we've got a blue ceiling.
01:10:32Interesting.
01:10:36What do you like about this room?
01:10:43Um.
01:10:48You guys, I feel like it looks like Toy Story.
01:10:53It does give me a child's room.
01:10:56Yes.
01:10:56This looks like a little boy's room, maybe.
01:10:58If they're trying to get Santorini, they definitely, we get it, you know?
01:11:01Do you?
01:11:02Yeah, I mean, this is a risk.
01:11:05I appreciate they went bold.
01:11:07I mean, that's what they were told to do.
01:11:08Yeah.
01:11:08Have fun with it.
01:11:10It's definitely bold.
01:11:11Make it different.
01:11:12They hit their details.
01:11:13I'm looking around, like, the paint's nice.
01:11:15I think maybe the blue Santorini I could have gotten behind if it wasn't paired with some
01:11:21of the other choices in the room.
01:11:23Yes.
01:11:24This pattern, Gingham, does not belong in this room.
01:11:27Do you think that art should have been maybe where this mirror is?
01:11:31Well, look.
01:11:32I think there's a floor-length mirror.
01:11:34A floor-length mirror is imperative.
01:11:37How many floor-length mirrors did you have as bachelorettes?
01:11:41Uh, I don't remember one.
01:11:43So that's thoughtful.
01:11:44It is thoughtful.
01:11:45There's a lot of different places to be able to sit in here, which is nice.
01:11:49Yes.
01:11:49The bench is great.
01:11:50I agree.
01:11:50As far as privacy goes, these are such a great touch and very useful.
01:11:54As far as storage goes, the drawers at the bottom.
01:11:58This is not as practical.
01:12:00Really functional.
01:12:01Oh.
01:12:02And this doesn't move.
01:12:02Oh, it doesn't move.
01:12:03Do these stay?
01:12:04Oh, no.
01:12:06That's not good.
01:12:07Okay.
01:12:07Well, I do want to point out, this isn't it.
01:12:10Okay.
01:12:10They had two spaces they had to work with.
01:12:12Let's go check it out after you guys.
01:12:14All right.
01:12:14All right.
01:12:14All right.
01:12:17Oh, my God.
01:12:18Oh.
01:12:19Come on in.
01:12:20Okay.
01:12:21This is not what I was expecting from the guys at all.
01:12:23I was not expecting this.
01:12:25No.
01:12:28You feel like they've maximized the space?
01:12:30Mm-hmm.
01:12:30This room feels ten times bigger.
01:12:35I'm, like, speechless right now.
01:12:38I'm pleasantly surprised.
01:12:39Wasn't this supposed to be a theme?
01:12:40Yes.
01:12:41This is supposed to be Tuscany.
01:12:42Okay.
01:12:43It's not getting Tuscany, but also, I don't really love a themed room.
01:12:47Maybe it's more like the wood and, like, the sage tones.
01:12:50I think there are accents, maybe, that speak to it.
01:12:52What I really like is what they did with the chair rail, the fluted wall underneath it,
01:12:56to give us the accent wall, and then they carried it with the bunk beds right here.
01:13:00Did they build these bunk beds?
01:13:02Yes.
01:13:02They built them all.
01:13:03I love the design.
01:13:05Mm-hmm.
01:13:06I think the bunk beds, the doors, everything ties in.
01:13:09I love the desk over here.
01:13:11That's where you can write some beautiful love poems.
01:13:13Some love letters.
01:13:14Meet me by the clock tower at midnight.
01:13:17Should've tried that one.
01:13:19I love that the colors keep it super bright and fresh in here,
01:13:22because if you guys remember, a lot happens in this house,
01:13:24and you need a little bit of levity,
01:13:26and this just feels very tranquil to go back to.
01:13:29You guys, this looks really professional.
01:13:31It does look really good.
01:13:32Like, I'm really proud of the guys.
01:13:34So I will say, then, mission accomplished.
01:13:36Absolutely.
01:13:37They definitely succeeded.
01:13:38They also did some work outside on the terrace.
01:13:40Check it out.
01:13:40Check it out after you guys.
01:13:44Oh, my goodness.
01:13:47Oh, this is nice.
01:13:49This is very nice.
01:13:52Definitely made use of the space.
01:13:53Yeah.
01:13:54I like how they added some, like, modern touches
01:13:56with, like, the pottery and the stone.
01:13:59So...
01:13:59It's great.
01:14:00I mean, this is where I wanted to spend most of my time.
01:14:02Crazy stuff was happening in there,
01:14:03so just to be able to come out and enjoy the fresh air.
01:14:06That is one of the great things about the Bachelor Mansion,
01:14:08I think, is what surrounds it.
01:14:10Yeah.
01:14:10This gives you a nice vantage point, I think, to look at that.
01:14:12Yeah.
01:14:12Yeah.
01:14:12I think it's time to go see what our ladies have come up with.
01:14:17Oh.
01:14:19Hannah, it's our old room.
01:14:23Wow.
01:14:24They put in some work in here.
01:14:26The use of space is incredible.
01:14:29Does this look anything like your old room?
01:14:32No.
01:14:34Welcome to the Sage Haven.
01:14:35We know you're here for the right reasons.
01:14:38Oh, nice.
01:14:40I can't believe how big it feels in here,
01:14:42because I felt like we were on top of each other.
01:14:45We were.
01:14:45Bunk beds aren't fun.
01:14:47They're not cool.
01:14:48They're not stylish.
01:14:49But in this room, they made the bunk beds a feature.
01:14:52What I really like is how they arched this side and this side
01:14:55to make it one big arch.
01:14:56Oh.
01:14:56They made bunk beds sexy, honestly.
01:14:59This right here is almost full privacy.
01:15:03I can shut this.
01:15:05Let me help you there.
01:15:07And I'm gone.
01:15:09That's nice.
01:15:10This is very nice.
01:15:11My one con about the beds,
01:15:13the top bunks don't have any privacy.
01:15:15It's only the bottom bunks.
01:15:16Mm-hmm.
01:15:17I don't know if it's an advantage or a disadvantage
01:15:19to also have the fireplace to have to design and work with.
01:15:23I think it's beautiful.
01:15:25It was Jill that fought to keep the fireplace.
01:15:27Some of them wanted to take it out.
01:15:29Wow.
01:15:29You know what they did take out?
01:15:31No, they didn't.
01:15:32There was this beautiful art piece that was in the middle of the ceiling.
01:15:37That one hurts.
01:15:38It definitely modernizes the space,
01:15:40but I wish they almost would have painted it white just to keep it here.
01:15:43Hold on.
01:15:44There was a window in this wall.
01:15:46Oh, that went into the bathroom.
01:15:49It's gone.
01:15:51Good idea?
01:15:52That is a great idea.
01:15:53Well, yeah.
01:15:55Because when you would be sleeping,
01:15:57people would be getting ready, taking showers,
01:15:59and you had no choice but to wake up the entire room.
01:16:03The ladies were putting in real construction.
01:16:04I'm impressed.
01:16:05I love the makeup desk.
01:16:08That is something that everyone will be so thankful to have.
01:16:12Do you care that there are suitcases underneath?
01:16:15It's supposed to show the functionality.
01:16:16Remember what it was like to be in this room?
01:16:19It was so cluttered in here
01:16:21that Han would actually lock herself in the closet to sleep some nights.
01:16:27The closet actually felt like I had more space than being in this room
01:16:32because all of us women were on top of each other.
01:16:34Yeah.
01:16:35I had a lot of breakdowns in that closet over there.
01:16:37I'm pretty sure people were feeding me food in the closet that I locked myself in.
01:16:41You know, we've grown.
01:16:42It's great to be back.
01:16:44Do you feel like they took enough of a swing on this one?
01:16:47In some ways, maybe they did play it a little too safe.
01:16:50I mean, it looks beautiful, but I do love art,
01:16:53and there's not really any art in this room.
01:16:56Maybe the sage haven is just a safe haven.
01:17:00All right, the fun's not over.
01:17:01Let's go check out the terrace right behind you, Tayshia.
01:17:04Oh, wow. Look at this, guys.
01:17:07Oh.
01:17:10Love the table to be able to journal,
01:17:12but also to hang out, have some coffee.
01:17:15One, two, three, four, five, six girls can sit out here and do their makeup.
01:17:20Wow.
01:17:20And on a sturdy surface, not...
01:17:24That side doesn't have any tables.
01:17:26This feels like there was cohesiveness, a real reason to everything.
01:17:30I think the girls did a great job.
01:17:32All right, well, you've got a bunch of people downstairs eagerly awaiting the results.
01:17:36Should we go give it to them?
01:17:37Let's do it.
01:17:38All right, let's go.
01:17:48All right, everybody.
01:17:49You worked tirelessly this week.
01:17:51Four days and a lot of late nights transforming those rooms.
01:17:55I got to say, those rooms look incredible.
01:17:59You should all be really, really proud of the work you did.
01:18:01We are. Thank you.
01:18:03Now it's time to find out what our judges thought.
01:18:12Now it's time to find out what our judges thought.
01:18:16Let's start with the men's team.
01:18:19One of the things that I absolutely loved in the Tuscany room was the vanity.
01:18:25I just thought it was a really nice touch.
01:18:26It was very well made.
01:18:27That was all Chris built that audience.
01:18:29Chris, that was all you.
01:18:30Good job.
01:18:32The craftsmanship was impeccable on it.
01:18:34One thing I did love, too, is all the painting.
01:18:36Clean lines everywhere.
01:18:37And that paint really brought out the baseboards.
01:18:40In the Tuscany room, I really loved the little vignette that y'all created.
01:18:45The little seating area, I thought that was really nice.
01:18:48The chair rail with the fluted wall underneath, that was a nice touch.
01:18:50But there wasn't as much dimension in that room.
01:18:54There was a lot of the same textures being repeated.
01:18:57Something I didn't really find that practical, and I'm looking at craftsmanship, is the ladders.
01:19:03The ladders didn't have any clips.
01:19:05When you pull out the drawers underneath, you're just banging into the ladder right there.
01:19:09Can I ask, whose idea was it for the Santorini room?
01:19:14Yeah, that was my idea.
01:19:16We were kind of leaning into the Mediterranean vibe of the house, and we knew the boldness
01:19:21of painting the ceiling blue, but we figured, why not?
01:19:24We're here in a competition, so go for it.
01:19:25I feel like it looks like Toy Story.
01:19:28I don't love, like, a themed room.
01:19:31The mark was missed on that one.
01:19:33The two different rooms didn't feel like they really went together.
01:19:38Tyler, I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
01:19:39I like that y'all went bold.
01:19:42It's a major upgrade.
01:19:45I love that you guys went out and made your own plastered artwork.
01:19:50That's really cool.
01:19:51Is that you, Dean, that did that?
01:19:52I thought that was a nice touch.
01:19:54Thanks.
01:19:54Having the two rooms, y'all had an opportunity to show more creativity, which I do think
01:19:59that y'all did, and y'all took risk, and I really appreciate that.
01:20:04Ladies, you got tough competition.
01:20:06Do we?
01:20:07We do.
01:20:08Wow.
01:20:09Wow.
01:20:11Girls, I was so excited to see the room, because that's actually the room both Tayshia
01:20:15and I bunked in when we were here on the season, and it looked vastly different than the last
01:20:20time I had gone in there.
01:20:21And I was so shocked.
01:20:24The thing that I loved the most was all the layers, the dimension, the textures.
01:20:29That was something I was really impressed by.
01:20:32I think that you guys put yourself in that room and remembered what you kind of needed,
01:20:37like the vanities, and taking out that window was such a smart idea.
01:20:42Yeah.
01:20:43Yeah.
01:20:43Yeah.
01:20:44Ladies, I thought you guys did an incredible job with the bunk beds.
01:20:48Like, you made a whole built-in out of the bunk beds, which I thought was really cool.
01:20:52You fluted them.
01:20:53You did an arch.
01:20:54Arches are a feature throughout this whole house.
01:20:56You guys made bunk beds sexy, honestly.
01:20:58They were so well done and so elevated.
01:21:02Another thing that I really loved was the fireplace.
01:21:05We kept it.
01:21:05We kept it.
01:21:06And I think this house, it's so important to keep the integrity of its history.
01:21:11What I didn't like was there was that beautiful decorative wood piece in the ceiling that disappeared.
01:21:20As beautiful as the center of the room is with the seating, it would have been really cool to have
01:21:26even a cabinet built in to put all of our dresses.
01:21:29One thing that I would have loved to see in a little bit more was some more artwork in the
01:21:34room, some more interest in that way.
01:21:36Would have been nice, but overall, it looked beautiful.
01:21:40Oh, good.
01:21:41So, after a lot of consideration, the judges have made their decisions.
01:21:46For the losing team, your stakes climb even higher because your peers are the ones that are going to determine
01:21:53who will be going home.
01:21:59I'm scared.
01:22:00These are more stressful than the ceremonies on the show.
01:22:04I agree.
01:22:04The winner of the bunk room challenge is the ladies.
01:22:37We're proud of us nonetheless.
01:22:41Congratulations, ladies.
01:22:43Right, so ladies, head outside, enjoy the pool.
01:22:45You're safe from elimination, and you're all one step closer to winning $100,000.
01:22:53Thank you, guys.
01:22:57Gentlemen, it's time to face the vote.
01:22:59And remember, Dean has immunity, so you cannot vote for him.
01:23:08Dean, we'll start with you.
01:23:14Back at the voting booth.
01:23:17Maybe Chris, Brendan.
01:23:20No, this guy really blew it.
01:23:25I just think this person has the least qualities to help carry on a team.
01:23:34One of my closest friends here, but I just think he's the least well-rounded.
01:23:40If Dean didn't have immunity, I'd probably vote for him.
01:23:44Paid to do it, man.
01:23:47I think we have two carpenters on our team, but moving forward, we can't have any redundancies.
01:23:58We're going to go collect the votes, and then we'll be right back.
01:24:08I'm going to have, like, a personal bone to pick with them if they send Chris home.
01:24:11I'll be so mad if they send Chris home.
01:24:12Chris needs to be here.
01:24:13If Chris goes home, they're getting the silent treatment for a while.
01:24:16It would make me sad.
01:24:16We'll see.
01:24:17I'm not speculating.
01:24:26Gentlemen, before we reveal the results, you should all be really proud of all the hard work you put in.
01:24:32And with that, the person leaving the mansion tonight is...
01:24:40This season on Bachelor Mansion Takeover.
01:24:44Boom!
01:24:50All's fair, love and renovation, right?
01:24:53But just hear me out real quick.
01:24:54What if we paint the ceiling blue?
01:24:57You can't relax for a single second here.
01:24:59That's right, you're renovating the rose room.
01:25:02What?
01:25:03The mixer room.
01:25:05The candle room.
01:25:06I feel like I'm at a five-star resort.
01:25:08And I see the guest judge, I'll be like, ooh, go easy on me.
01:25:11Please welcome Christina Hawke.
01:25:14Nate Berkus.
01:25:15Go away.
01:25:16Joe Joe Fletcher.
01:25:18It's no secret that one of the judges is one of my exes.
01:25:21I don't like it.
01:25:21I will say, though, I didn't love the tile.
01:25:25If I go out, I want to go out on my own terms.
01:25:27The amount of just, like, bold-faced lies.
01:25:29I don't even know who to trust.
01:25:30I've been burnt by Jill.
01:25:31So, yeah, I don't trust that she's not going to send me home.
01:25:34We have to slay the dragon.
01:25:35I voted for Chris as well.
01:25:37Chris, do you keep your seats?
01:25:38Absolutely.
01:25:39I just got blindsided.
01:25:42Dean backstabbed a loyal friend.
01:25:43I can't let feelings get in the way of good design.
01:25:46This is so bad.
01:25:48Now, after all the sweat, and all the sawdust,
01:25:50after all the sleepless nights,
01:25:52the winner is...
