I sliced the tip of my finger on a grater the other day… and I’m not even exaggerating when I say that pain was PERSONAL.
You don’t realise how sharp those things actually are until it’s too late. One second you’re just casually grating like a responsible adult, next second you’re questioning every life choice that led you to that exact moment.
And the worst part? It doesn’t just hurt once. Oh no. It keeps hurting. Every time you wash your hands. Every time you accidentally touch something. Even air feels offensive at that point.
I genuinely stood there thinking, “how is something so small causing THIS much pain?”
So yeah… learn from my mistake.
Use the safety holder. That little plastic thing you always ignore because “you’ve got this”? Yeah… you don’t. Not when your fingertip is on the line.
Slow down. Take your time. Because trust me, no amount of grated cheese is worth sacrificing part of your finger for.
Consider this your warning 😭
