AFCON 2025 final scandal: Senegal accuses CAF of corruption

After the Confederation of African Football stripped Senegal of its title in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final on Tuesday, Dakar has taken its protest a step further: it accused the CAF of corruption and called for an international investigation on Wednesday.

00:04Senegal's government accused the Confederation of African Football of corruption on Wednesday,
00:10following the CAF's decision to strip Senegal of its AFCON 2025 title and hand it to Morocco instead.

00:22saying that Senegal had forfeited the final match last January by walking off the playing field.
00:28The Senegalese Football Federation denounced the decision almost immediately as unprecedented
