00:15Greetings, comrades. Here in Beijing, the Chinese government has presented a document outlining the plans to build a child-friendly
00:25society in the coming years within the framework of the 15-5-year plan that goes to 2026 to 2030.
00:36The initiative aims to integrate children's perspective into public policies, promoting urban and community spaces adapted for sports, recreation, lashes
00:50and extracurricular activities, ensuring that the neighbourhoods, the parks and communities are fully accessible to young children.
01:00The document also proposes improving free or preferential public service for children and strengthening the judicial protections of minors, with
01:13strict penalties for crimes affecting minors.
01:17To date, 116 Chinese cities have launched pilot projects, benefiting more than 110 million urban and rural children.
01:30With the new strategy, China seeks to expand this project toward a comprehensive approach across the country, including rural areas
01:41and strengthening the children's rights and service and space for the children to grow.
