00:05Wakefield Council. The scheme will see around 1,800 solar panels installed on land behind
00:12Wentbridge House Hotel, which dates back to around the year 1700. Documents say the development
00:19could cut electricity costs by around 80%, with surplus energy sold back to the grid.
00:26The site lies within Greenbelt land and council officers considered environmental and economic
00:32benefits alongside heritage concerns. Approval is subject to conditions including protecting
00:38trees to help screen the development from surrounding areas and nearby conservation land.
