Just as the weather began clearing, Central Australia has once again been hit by heavy rain overnight sending water back into Alice Springs and across parts of the Simpson District.

00:27Police say around 70mm fell in just a few hours. Once again, they're warning people to avoid floodwaters after two
00:35people were rescued this morning attempting to cross.
00:38For others, the danger is clear.
00:40That's the main thing when it floods like this, you know, for everyone to be safe as well.
00:44Cause it is dangerous when it's like a heavy current and hard current.
00:48While the weather is easing, the advice remains the same. Stay alert and stay out of floodwaters.
