00:00Is your Windows 11 PC feeling sluggish and a bit too nosy for your liking?
00:04Today, we're going on a mission to transform your system.
00:08We'll be doing an extreme hardening of Windows 11,
00:11disabling all the spyware-like features,
00:13and unlocking some serious CPU performance.
00:16By the end of this video, your computer will be faster, more private, and way more secure.
00:22Let's get started.
00:23First up, let's boost that performance.
00:25We'll begin with a dev load.
00:27Go to your Start menu, right-click on all those pre-installed apps you never use,
00:32like Candy Crush or social media apps, and just hit Uninstall.
00:37Do the same in the Settings app, under Apps and Features,
00:40getting rid of this bloatware frees up resources instantly.
00:44Next, press the Windows key, and search for Adjust the Appearance and Performance of Windows.
00:49In the window that pops up, select Adjust for Best Performance.
00:54This turns off all the fancy animations and visual effects, which might look nice,
00:59but eat up your CPU and GPU power.
01:01Your interface will feel way snappier.
01:04Finally, let's talk power.
01:07Open the Control Panel, go to Power Options, and you'll probably see it's unbalanced.
01:12We want more.
01:13Click on Create a Power Plan, select High Performance, and give it a name.
01:18This tells your PC to prioritize performance over saving energy,
01:22giving your CPU the full power it needs for demanding tasks.
01:26Now, let's tackle privacy, and shut down the spike.
01:29Windows 11 loves to collect data, but we can put a stop to it.
01:34Head into Settings, then Privacy and Security.
01:37Under Windows Permissions, go through each section.
01:40Turn off your Advertising ID to stop personalized ads.
01:43Unless you need it, disable location tracking.
01:47The most important one is Diagnostics and Feedback.
01:50Make sure this is set to require diagnostic data only,
01:53and turn off Tailored Experiences.
01:56This severely limits the amount of data your PC sends back to Microsoft.
02:01Next, we'll dive a little deeper.
02:03Search for services, and open the app.
02:06We're looking for a service called Connected User Experiences and Telemetry.
02:09Right, click it, go to Properties, change the Startup Type to Disabled, and then stop the service.
02:16This is one of the main culprits for data collection, and now it's gone for good.
02:21With performance and privacy handled, it's time for some serious security hardening.
02:26Don't worry, this is easier than it sounds.
02:29Open the Windows Security app, go to Virus and Threat Protection, then Manage Settings.
02:34You need to make sure real-time protection, cloud-delivered protection, and especially Tampa Protection, are all turned on.
02:41Tampa Protection is crucial, because it prevents malicious apps from changing your security settings.
02:47Next, let's enable a powerful feature called Smart App Control.
02:51You can find it under App and Browser Control.
02:53This feature uses AI to block untrusted or potentially dangerous applications from running.
02:59Even if your antivirus doesn't catch them, it's a fantastic layer of defense against new threats.
03:05For the advanced users out there, you can take it a step further with the Windows Defender Firewall.
03:09You can create custom outbound rules to block specific apps from phoning home or connecting to the internet at all,
03:16giving you granular control over your network traffic.
03:19It's like having a personal bouncer for your computer's internet connection.
03:23And there you have it.
03:24We've de-bloated your system, optimized it for pure performance, disabled the invasive telemetry and tracking features, and hardened your
03:32security settings to protect against threats.
03:34Your Windows 11 machine is now a lean, fast, and private powerhouse.
03:40You'll feel the difference immediately, from faster boot times to a more responsive desktop experience.
03:46Your system is now officially secured and optimized.
