00:43So, the Rabbits have been teleported into the Mushroom Kingdom, and it made the world completely unstable and chaotic.
00:51So Mario, as a true hero, wants to save the day, but this time with some new friends.
01:17And at first, they don't really know each other, but in the end, they will form this dream team that
01:24will potentially save the Mushroom Kingdom.
01:54And as the game is turn-based,
01:56as a tactical adventure game, combat is a really big part of the concept.
02:01So you'll fight wave after wave of rabbit that somehow turned bad, and what we see here is just the
02:07very beginning of the game.
02:08So it will be perfect to talk about the combat basics.
02:11So the two flags you see on the screen here is to tell you that this is a battlefield zone.
02:15So you'll switch from exploration mode to battle mode.
02:19The blue zone is your zone of movement, so you move anywhere you want in that zone.
02:24But you can also use battlefield ingredients, such as covers, for protection.
02:30So rabbit Luigi here using half cover or full cover.
02:34And we also have what we call team jump.
02:38So by jumping on your teammates, you can expand your zone of movement.
02:42So here, Rabbit Peach using Mario, she's able to flank the enemy.
02:49So you can also attack the enemy behind that cover and expose them by destroying that cover,
02:56which is really interesting in terms of strategy, because for the next turns, you'll be open for attacks.
03:02And last but not least, techniques, so from defensive ones like Rabbit Peach's shield boosts or offensive ones like Mario's
03:12Hero's Sight,
03:13he's able to attack the enemy, even if it's not his turn, as soon as the enemy moves.
03:26So this is a very core aspect of the game itself.
03:30So you mix and match attack options, movement abilities, techniques.
03:34But we also have other ingredients, such as pipes, rabbit pipes.
03:40So those give you a good move to flank the enemy.
03:44So here, for example, Rabbit Luigi goes into the pipe, out of the pipe, dash the enemy, goes for Mario,
03:51team jump,
03:52land behind the enemy in one single movement sequence, and then finish off the enemy.
04:03And what we see here is actually an explosive cover.
04:07So those have many type of super effects, and this one was a push effect.
04:11So you can push heroes or enemies out of the boundaries.
04:15So, again, this is just a glimpse into the basics of the game,
04:17and as you progress into the game, you'll have more tactic tools,
04:22you'll be able to do more combo setups,
04:25you'll be able to use different types of heroes, different types of weapons,
04:30in order to battle your way through the kingdom.
