00:04Our first look at Dune Part 3 is here.
00:07Warner Brothers just dropped the first teaser trailer for the forthcoming third film in the saga.
00:13I'm doing the best I can to protect my family.
00:19During a trailer launch event on Monday at AMC Century City,
00:23Denis Villeneuve revealed that he never planned to make a third Dune movie so soon after Dune Part 2.
00:28He said,
00:30I went to my crew and I said,
00:31I'm taking a break.
00:32That's it.
00:33Bye-bye.
00:33I went back home and I kept waking up in the middle of the night with those images.
00:37I was supposed to do another movie.
00:39War feeds on itself.
00:50The filmmakers said of Dune 3,
00:52It's a very different movie than the first ones.
00:55If the first movie was contemplation, a boy exploring a new world,
00:59and the second one is a war movie, this one is a thriller.
01:02It is action-packed and tense, more muscular.
01:05The movie takes place 17 years after Dune Part 2,
01:08and we quote,
01:09see Paul dealing with the consequences of having too much power.
01:13The more I fight,
01:14the more enemies fight back.

01:36in which he stars opposite Zendaya,
01:38he asked his co-star,
01:39How do I get in one of those Dune movies?
01:41Zendaya responded to laughs from the crowd,
01:44I know a guy.
01:44Pattinson said of his character,
01:46I wouldn't say he's a conventional bad guy as such.
01:49He might even be a good guy.
01:51Who knows?
01:51I will also find out when I see the movie.
01:54Lead Timothee Chalamet was not in attendance,
01:56but he did send in a video.
