00:00And the Oscar goes to Amy Madigan.
00:08Tiana Taylor is Hollywood's biggest cheerleader,
00:11but her enthusiasm at the Oscars has rubbed some haters the wrong way.
00:15Call it a Tiana tornado, and now the actress and R&B singer is clapping back.
00:20Let's break it all down.
00:22First, she jumped to her feet and cheered on her fellow Best Supporting Actress nominee,
00:27Amy Madigan, after she won for Weapons.
00:30Then at the end of the show, she playfully put her director, Paul Thomas Anderson,
00:34in a headlock when their film One Battle After Another won Best Picture.
00:38Actor in a supporting role, adapted screenplay, film editing, directing.
00:43Well, the peanut gallery watching at home thought it was a little too much, tweeting,
00:48What the f*** is going on with Tiana?
00:50This is like the third video in a row I've seen of her wilding at the Oscars.
00:54And I knew from the first hour, something was off.
00:58The X thread blew up, and the Oscar-nominated actress responded with this.
01:02The world holds so much misery that miserable hearts forget the face of happiness.
01:07They grow comfortable being sore losers.
01:09So when they see real sportsmanship, it unsettles them.
01:13Like holy water touching a demon.
01:15Because clapping for someone else's victory requires something many people never learned.
01:20How to win with grace and pure joy.
01:23And how to lose with grace, chin-up, and dignity.
01:27There you have it, folks.
01:28In a stuffy room full of polite smiling, be a Tiana.
01:32But wait, there's more.
01:34Moreover, immediately after the Oscars ended, a viral video captured Tiana calling out an
01:39allegedly pushy security guard.
01:41In the clip, she said,
01:43You put your hands on a female.
01:45You literally shoved me.
01:47He was damn near shoving her.
01:49The security guard also supposedly told her,
01:51You owe me an apology, which made her even more upset.
01:54Tiana later told TMZ the physical incident was unprovoked and unwarranted.
01:59But ultimately, she brushed it off with grace.
02:02It's all good.
02:04Everybody's having a good time, and security was just doing a lot.
02:07There's always that one.
02:09But everything's fine.
02:10I'm happy.
02:11So what exactly happened?
02:13A source told Variety that the OBAA cast and crew were trying to get on stage for a group photo.
02:19That's when a security guard forcibly stopped Tiana and Warner Bros. executive Pam Abdi,
02:25and he allegedly put his hands on the actress.
02:28Well, not to be left out of the drama,
02:30music legend, and queen of Twitter, Dionne Warwick, came to her defense, writing,
02:35So proud of my baby Tiana Taylor on so many levels.
02:38She stood her ground with that security situation like the class act she is.
02:43And getting her first Oscar nomination?
02:45That's my girl.
02:47You go, dear.
02:48That's what friends are for.
02:50Since the blow-up, security industry specialist Inc. has apologized, stating,
02:54We regret that the situation escalated.
02:57The Academy also publicly took ownership of the ordeal.
03:01We have worked with Tiana over the last several months during awards season,
03:05and she has been nothing short of remarkable, supportive, kind, and all about community.
03:10Though the incident was with our outside security firm, SIS,
03:14The experience of every single guest is our responsibility.
03:17We have made it clear to them that this behavior is not acceptable.
03:20The Academy added,
03:22We want to thank Tiana for showing remarkable grace,
03:24and we are taking the appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen again.
