00:33To win, you'll need to destroy the core structures of your opponent.
00:37The key difference is that you don't start with turrets in Annihilation Classic,
00:40but you can still build them if you've taken one of the new Doctrines.
00:44Annihilation with defenses will give you a head start in base protection.
00:47Faction-specific turrets defend your base in predetermined locations,
00:50buying you more time to build up your army.
00:53In both modes, you'll need to destroy your opponent's core structures in order to achieve victory.
00:58This doesn't count listening posts and resource point add-ons.
01:02Faction-specific buildings like webway gates and wah towers will still need to be destroyed.
01:07As a key structure in Annihilation mode, the headquarters have undergone some changes.
01:12The HQ will be buildable by your worker units and will cost a hefty amount of requisition and power to
01:17build.
01:18Killing a player's HQ will reveal the rest of their structures on the minimap for you to hunt down.
01:26So long as you have a worker unit left standing, you can always rebuild the HQ to hide your base
01:30behind the fog of war once again.
01:32You can keep playing as long as your team has structures left standing.
01:36Even if you've lost all of your buildings, you can still help out your teammates by commanding the rest of
01:40your army and calling in your elites.
01:43All of our existing maps, including the new Mortis Veil maps, have been tweaked to support the new modes.
01:49So how do you get into one of these new modes?
01:51When creating a custom match, you'll find two new options under game mode.
