00:09Sports car racing for me has
00:11been my home, it's what I grew up watching
00:13It was a dream
00:15to go racing
00:21I feel like
00:22there's definitely a part of
00:23my driving that was
00:25developed in sim racing
00:28the discipline needed
00:29to be good in racing
00:31you can learn that and hone that skill
00:34in Project Cars 2
00:42That's amazing though, at the end there
00:43like around the hairpin
00:45the sun is peeking in
00:47you know, around, that makes you feel like you're there
00:50for sure, unbelievable
00:51One thing that's interesting about Slightly Mad Studios
00:54is that the founders of the company
00:56all started doing amateur
00:58racing game mods
00:59and we'd make our own cars
01:01we'd make our own tracks
01:02we'd make our own interfaces
01:03all this stuff was happening
01:05it was a very exciting time
01:07and there was this kid named Turbo Tom
01:10as he was known in the form
01:14Yeah, Turbo Tom, that came from early on
01:16when I was 11, 12 years old
01:18and I thought, I have this cool name Turbo Tom
01:20Here's this young kid who we knew wasn't racing cars
01:23but he was involved with the sim racing scene
01:26and he would test our mods out
01:28and he'd give some feedback
01:29but in general he was a fan of what we did
01:31I got hooked right away
01:33Mod groups would sort of come around
01:35and I volunteered often times to help with him
01:37try and make the cars better
01:38Then we heard a few years later that Turbo Tom
01:41had started racing cars
01:45so Tommy Milner himself
01:47has grown up and become a professional racing driver
01:50at the same time that we grew up
01:52and became professional video game developers
01:55An excellent win for the Corvette
01:57of Garcia, Milner and Barreto
01:59Having done sim racing for so long
02:02blending what I learned in real life
02:04helped me prepare for racing with Corvette
02:11When you work on different types of racing games
02:14you can see that there's different philosophies
02:16with different game studios
02:18so for us it's most important that the racing drivers
02:21are there from the get-go
02:23and Tommy has had a big effect on the overall handling
02:26of the race cars in the game
02:28He's clearing quite a bit of sub-angle in the car
02:30getting into the corner
02:32so that's where some of that front grip feeling
02:34kind of comes from
02:36Having been a part of Project Cars 2
02:38it's been a lot of fun for me
02:39and rewarding to see
02:41how far the sim has come
02:46I'm having the most fun I've ever had driving sims
02:48because I'm driving it
02:49criticizing every little detail
02:51trying to figure out
02:52how do we make this perfect?
03:05I'm Tommy Milner
03:06and I'm a two-time Le Mans champion
03:07I'm a two-time Le Mans champion
03:07I'm a two-time Le Mans champion
03:12I'm Tommy Milner
03:13I'm Tommy Milner
03:14I'm Tommy Milner
03:14I'm Tommy Milner
