00:00The conditions in some parts of the Middle East, particularly in Qatar, are showing some improvement.
00:05Proof of this is the expected resumption of daily flights to the Philippines starting tomorrow.
00:10The Migrant Workers' Office in Doha, Qatar, is also coordinating with concerned agencies
00:15to ensure readiness in welcoming the Filipino repatriates upon their arrival in the country.
00:20Sheila Natividad has the full report.
00:25The condition of Filipinos in Qatar remains safe amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East,
00:31according to Philippine Ambassador to Qatar, Mardo Melcelo Melikor.
00:35He added that coordination between the embassy and the Migrant Workers' Office continues for the repatriation
00:41or return of Filipinos to the country or their temporary relocation to other destinations in Asia.
00:47We are still mounting a big movement towards Saudi.
00:51Kasi lahat po ng mga exit routes ginagamit natin, siguro on the 22nd meron daw repatriation flights from Saudi.
01:05But ang kagandaan po rito, Yusek, Qatar already announced, starting tomorrow po, there will be daily flights to the Philippines.
01:14Although flights remain limited, the Philippine Embassy in Qatar and the Migrant Workers' Office are confident
01:21that the safety of our countrymen's travel will be ensured.
01:43In fact, 37 Filipinos headed to the airport today with the help of the government,
01:49including OFW Gilmarti Castigliano.
02:14Overall, around 100 Filipinos have successfully deported from Qatar to other countries in Asia with the help of the government.
02:22Coordination ng Philippine embassies in countries affected by the conflict in the Middle East also continues to ensure the safety
02:29of Filipinos.
02:42which is really striving very much para maging safe and secure itong Qatar.
02:47To all residents, keep calm and then contact the embassy.
02:52The embassy and the MWO are open 24-7.
