00:00The Department of Migrant Workers has arranged a chartered flight for overseas Filipino workers
00:05who wish to return home due to rising tensions in the Middle East.
00:09According to Migrant Workers Undersecretary Bernard Olalia,
00:13returning OFWs will receive upskilling opportunities from TESDA
00:17as well as livelihood assistance for those who want to start businesses.
00:21The government will also provide psychosocial services to help workers
00:25who may have experienced trauma from the unrest.
00:28Meanwhile, the DMW continues to coordinate with Philippine embassies, consulates and host governments
00:34to ensure the safe repatriation of around 7,000 OFWs being monitored in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of
00:41Hormuz.
