Cinque minuti di gameplay per Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, la versione mobile del titolo Square Enix.

00:00Yes, so it's called Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition
00:03and so what the development team is, they took the main game, the main quest
00:06and they crushed it down into this beautiful, cute art style
00:11Adorable, and I mean there's probably people out there that don't have a console
00:14and want to play the game, play Final Fantasy, everyone's got a mobile device
00:18Exactly, so it makes it more accessible
00:20and the first episode is actually free
00:22and then there's going to be nine more episodes to follow
00:25It's episodic, yeah, but it's the main storyline of Final Fantasy XV
00:29So if people want to try it out, see if they like it, they can just get a free taste
00:32of it
00:32and then continue to support and purchase it if they're like the other episodes
00:35Exactly, exactly
00:36Is there anything going in between, is there any linkage between the console version and this version at all?
00:41There isn't, so it's not like if you play this one you get bonus DLC or anything in the base
00:47game
00:47or vice versa, so, but you'll definitely appreciate all the small things that they've put in here
00:53Yeah, what little things have they added?
00:56Anybody who's played Final Fantasy XV will just absolutely fall in love with it
00:59You'll see the tiny little hands running around
01:02You'll see kind of like how the warp strike has changed into a simpler, cuter form
01:05So I fast forwarded, I skipped past the first cutscene
01:08and if you guys remember Final Fantasy XV
01:10the first ten minutes or so of pushing a car
01:12Yes
01:13So we skipped past that, so I wanted to get you guys into the first quest
01:17Thank you for that
01:19One of the things a lot of people kind of talked about in those very mixed reactions was the button
01:24to pick up items
01:25Okay
01:26Where you would jump instead of automatically picking it up
01:28Right
01:28So in the mobile version, if you look at the screen, you just walk over and you pick up stuff
01:32So that's like one of the many things that will make it a lot easier for players who may not
01:38be experienced with kind of Xbox One or PS4 controls
01:42Now how's the combat? Is the combat similar to Final Fantasy XV in the console? Is it action-based?
01:46Yeah, it's similar, it's not like we turned it down into turn-based
01:50So it's still full action, but you can see I just tapped on it once
01:53And it'll kind of auto-attack for you
01:55But one of the biggest things for Final Fantasy XV for me was the summons having this really godly appearance
02:00They were dramatic, they affected the environment around them
02:03How were you able to translate that into a cute chibi mobile game?
02:07Just like any Final Fantasy, my summons are always the most epic thing
02:10So we're not quite ready to talk about summons yet
02:12Exactly how they look, I wish I had one here to show you
02:15I totally understand, I'm just really curious for it
02:17Because that really is what set XV apart for me
02:19Was seeing, I can't even remember his name
02:21But the big lightning guy being summoned up into the hillside and striking down
02:24And like all of the trees around you were like shattered
02:27And the ground below you was burnt into a crisp
02:30I want to see how they make that cute and adorable
02:32Right
02:34Hey, hey, hey, hey
02:35Even these little scorpions are cute
02:37I know, right?
02:38Oh, so he still has his teleportation and stuff like that
02:41Yeah, the warp track ability is still in there
02:43And so the really cool thing about this is the tutorial in here is really, really smooth
02:47So right now you don't even have it
02:49But you'll eventually get it in the next battle that you go into
02:52What are some things players are going to notice that are different though in this game?
02:56So you'll notice that it's not going to be completely open world
02:59That it's a little bit more of a linear storyline
03:02That's just because it is episodic
03:04So of course if you make it open world it gets much more complex
03:08Oh, it just shut off on me
03:10Didn't like that
03:12There's a lot of different things
03:14The dialogue is different
03:15Okay
03:15So the voice actors did go back into the studio and re-record
03:17Oh, so it's the same voice actors
03:19Yeah, so it's full voice acting
03:20It's not like it's just sound effects
03:22Things like that
03:23It's full voices throughout the whole game
03:24And there's multi-language support
03:26So for those people who love Final Fantasy games
03:28And like to really hear it in Japanese
03:30But have the English subtitles
03:32We have that support as well
03:33That is great
03:35Are you happy about that?
03:35I am very happy about that
03:36Oh, you play the Japanese voices
03:38That and speak it
03:39Yeah
03:39Oh, you do speak it
03:41Wow
03:43So the cutscenes that you mentioned
03:46Are the cutscenes all the same as in the regular Final Fantasy XV
03:50But made in GP
03:51Yeah, so if anybody remembers that original cutscene
03:54This is almost like a one-to-one recreation
03:56Of Noctis going up against Ifrit
03:59And getting knocked back
04:00Rolling around
04:01I don't want to say it's so cute that he's on fire
04:03But I mean, it's very cute
04:08But I wish we had the audio playing through the headset
04:10So you could hear it
04:11Oh, it's just very quiet on our side
04:13But I'm sure the audience can enjoy it
04:15Yeah, yeah
04:17Where can people get this?
04:19Is it going to be available on Android and iOS?
04:21So Android, iOS, and Windows 10 devices
04:24So again, Episode 1 is free
04:27And it's coming out this autumn
04:29Man
04:292017
04:31It's just crazy to take an entire RPG
04:33And put it on a mobile phone
04:34The fact that we can do that now is insane
04:37Right?
04:38And I think big kudos to the Final Fantasy XV development team
04:42They really wanted to get the game in as many halves as possible
04:45Really make it accessible
04:46And this is one of my favorite things
04:49This cutscene's so serious
04:50His face
04:52So cute
04:56Like it's such a serious cutscene of like
04:58A king sending away his son
05:02It's just this adorable little art stuff
05:04What were some of the issues you guys found
05:06Translating a game into a mobile?
05:09I can't speak exactly about the development
05:11About the successes and challenges
05:12But
05:13I would say
