01:32Where will your journey begin? Who will you team up with, and where will you go next?

01:41Each character has his or her own path action that can be used to interact with the people
01:47they encounter in a distinct way.
01:55For example, the warrior Olberich can challenge almost anyone to a duel.
02:02With one such duel, he could expose an evildoer and bring them to justice, or force someone
02:12in his way, out of the way.

02:20The dancer, Primrose on the other hand, can allure others into following her.
02:29With this power, she could track down a missing person and bring them back,
02:35or lure her enemies into a trap.
02:37She can even summon an allured character to help her in battle.
02:45Essentially, each character has their own way of achieving their objectives.
02:49The developers aim to give players the freedom to choose their own paths
02:53and immerse themselves in a deep story through true role-playing.
03:01But what about combat?
03:03In this game, battles are a fusion of simple pick-up-and-play, turn-based battles, and all-new mechanics.
03:14One such mechanic is the boost system, which allows you to accumulate boost points with each turn you take in
03:20battle.
03:21You can then spend them to dramatically increase the strength of your attacks and abilities,
03:26or use it to chain attacks.
03:29Try targeting an enemy's weak point to break its guard,
03:32then deliver powerful blows while it's weakened.
03:42Or, if an ally's in trouble, use it to get them right back into fighting shape.
03:47Identifying the right time to boost may just be the key to victory.
03:53There's a deep well of strategies to draw from, and your tactical genius won't go unrewarded.
03:58Later today, a demo version of Project Octopath Traveler will launch worldwide in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.
