00:31Yes. It's very fun. I mean, it's kind of an arcadey experience.
00:37Our mantra when we were developing it was to remove really all the barriers between the player and the combat.
00:44That's why they're buying Doom, is to kill demons.
00:47So we're really excited for fans of the game who played it on other platforms,
00:53but for new people coming to it for the first time playing it on the Nintendo Switch.
00:57We really think it's just going to be a great experience for them.
01:03Nintendo Switch fans can look forward to getting the entire campaign, all of the difficulty modes,
01:08including Ultra Nightmare mode, which is a really fun way to play the game, using only one life.
01:13So if you're into that sort of abuse, it's there for you.
01:17Very difficult though. You get Arcade mode, which is being able to replay the entire game, all of the levels,
01:25with all of the upgraded weapons and runes, but in a kind of time and score attack mode.
01:31It's not a narrative heavy game, I'd say, but the narrative is definitely there.
01:36If you want to read up on stuff and learn more about the story, you can. It's there. It's there
01:40for those to look for.
01:41But we felt like the primary audience just wanted to destroy demons by the hundreds.
01:48So that's pretty much what we let you do.
01:54Multiplayer is just an awesome part of Doom. We really focus on keeping it fast-paced, very action-oriented, very
02:05competitive.
02:06We have 12 modes that you get to play, and you get all the DLC content as well with Doom
02:11on the Nintendo Switch.
02:12So it's really awesome. I mean, if you like Team Deathmatch, you can play that.
02:17You can play capture modes. We have a mode where you're carrying around an eyeball and you're trying to score
02:22in the other team's goal.
02:24So lots of variation there. And then I think 18 maps total, which is just an immense amount of content.
02:31And then everything, again, that we released with the initial game, plus all the DLC.
02:40You know, we knew we had a very scalable engine. If you kind of look at the analysis that was
02:46done of idtech 6,
02:48right after the game came out, most of the kind of technical sites that evaluated it talked about how scalable
02:55it was
02:56and how many options we gave players.
02:58In bringing it to the Switch, we worked with a developer named Panic Button that has a lot of experience
03:03with Nintendo hardware,
03:06other kind of experts on the Nintendo Switch.
03:10And they basically kind of took that and ran with it and really tailored the experience,
03:16tailored the tech for that hardware. So, you know, without watering anything down, all of our just awesome features,
03:25like the depth of field and just the fast, fluid movement. We did target 30 frames a second because we
03:32wanted a target that we could confidently hit
03:35and know that the gameplay was solid and fast and fluid at that frame rate. It's really remarkable and visually
03:44stunning.
03:45We wouldn't put it in people's hands if we weren't proud of it and we didn't think it was the
03:49best possible representation of Doom.
03:55It was super exciting that we were able to bring Doom to the platform.
04:02We have sister studios working on really exciting stuff. Bethesda Game Studios is bringing Skyrim to the Nintendo Switch,
04:10which is just awesome. I mean, I can't imagine a better game for the platform outside of Doom.
04:17And also, you know, a franchise that's near and dear to our heart, Wolfenstein.
04:22Obviously, we've made a number of Wolfenstein games as well, but Machine Games, who's making New Colossus,
04:28is bringing that to the Nintendo Switch in 2018.
04:35I'm just excited for Doom and Nintendo to be in the same sentence again. My first experience with Doom was
04:43Doom 64.
04:44And I know I should have played the original PC and all that stuff, but I just wasn't a PC
04:48guy in my house and we didn't have one.
04:50And so, like, as soon as it came out on the 64, you know, a piece of hardware that I
04:55loved, getting to play Doom on that was just awesome.
04:58You know, it was such an awesome experience. And now all these years later, I was a huge fan of
05:03that game.
05:04And then all these years later, to have it, I'm super excited. You know, we're all super excited. Like you
05:10said, I mean, it's Nintendo.
05:11You won't find another game like this on the Nintendo Switch right now, which is what I think we're really
05:15excited about,
05:16is Doom really kind of establishes its own space and has its own very own feel and unique feel.
05:25And it really is perfect kind of on the go game. You can just play for 20 or 30 minutes.
05:31We're very happy to announce that you'll be getting your hands on it November 10th.
05:36So, you'll have it in time for all of those holiday meals at Aunt Esther's house.
05:43When you're bored to tears, you can go in the corner and fire up your Nintendo Switch and play Doom
05:48and slay demons while everybody's, I don't know, eating fruitcake.
05:53Woo.
05:57Woo.
06:00Woo.
