00:15In this video, we'll show you several great new features that you can take advantage of right now
00:20to help you get up and running as quickly as possible with the games, content, and settings you want on
00:26Xbox One X.
00:28Number one, we'll show you how to pre-download 4K assets for many Xbox One X enhanced games ahead of
00:35launch.
00:36This way you can get straight to the 4K without delay.
00:40Two, we'll show you how to back up key console settings such as update and sign-in preferences and notification
00:46settings
00:47so your experience on Xbox One X is just as you want it to be.
00:51Three, we'll showcase how to use an external hard drive to copy all the games you want to play on
00:57your brand new Xbox One X.
00:59Don't have an external hard drive? The network transfer feature has you covered.
01:04Finally, we'll show you how to determine which of your games has been updated to Xbox One X enhanced.
01:10Let's begin with pre-downloading 4K content.
01:14After all, on November 7th, you're going to want to soak up all the Xbox One X enhanced glory with
01:20zero delay.
01:22Simply go to settings, then system, and finally choose backup and transfer.
01:28You'll see an option for download 4K game content right here.
01:32Simply tap A to check the box.
01:35You can also go to settings, system, then updates, and check the box for keep my games and apps up
01:42to date.
01:43That way, the 4K content will download on its own as it becomes available.
01:48Now, let's head back to the backup and transfer settings.
01:51Here, you'll see backup my settings.
01:53This will allow you to transfer your account and key system settings, such as notification preferences, power and startup settings,
02:02sign-in preferences, theme, and more, over to your new Xbox One X.
02:06If you enable this feature, your settings will be copied to a hard drive.
02:10Simply have your hard drive connected when you fire up your Xbox One X for the first time, and you'll
02:16be able to easily import your settings.
02:18Also, under backup and transfer is the network transfer option.
02:22This feature allows you to copy games and apps from your current console to your new console using your home
02:28network.
02:29You'll just need to be sure both consoles are connected to the network.
02:33And don't worry, because the feature uses your local area network, it won't use any of your internet bandwidth.
02:39If you have a supported external hard drive, though, we recommend that you use that to transfer games over to
02:45your Xbox One X.
02:47After all, if they're on a hard drive, you can just plug it in, and away you go to the
02:52far-off lands of Xbox One X Enhanced Splendor.
02:55No waiting required.
02:57Luckily, the team has included bulk transfer across storage devices.
03:01Simply go to Settings, System, and then choose Storage.
03:05From here, you can choose which drive you want to manage.
03:09In this case, we'll choose the internal drive.
03:11From here, you can manually select what you want to move or copy, or even better, you can choose Select
03:17All.
03:19Once you've selected the games and apps you want to manage, you can choose to copy or move them to
03:24the supported external drive of your choosing.
03:26By using these great features, you can ensure the quickest possible path to enjoying Xbox One X with your games,
03:33apps, and settings.
03:35Of course, once you're up and running, you're going to want to know which games are already Xbox One X
03:40Enhanced.
03:42First things first, you can always go to Xbox.com forward slash enhanced for an official look at which games
03:49have shipped their Xbox One X Enhanced update.
03:52Of course, you can also look at the Xbox One X Enhanced filter under My Games and Apps to see
03:58which games should have an update.
04:00Again, be sure to enable automatic updates in Settings, System, and then Updates.
04:05That way, you don't have to manually download updates when they're available.
04:10If you prefer not to use automatic updates, you can always check the Updates section of My Games and Apps.
04:15Here, you'll see what games have an update available.
04:18Here's a tip.
04:19You can always check that your game is running the latest version by simply launching it.
04:24If it launches, you have the latest version.
