00:12Quando persone sono fede e hanno rufs over loro head,
00:14you'll be faced with a completely new dimension
00:16of survival, making sure
00:17people work together, even if it means
00:20ruling them with an iron fist.

00:34To paraphrase Oscar Wilde,
00:36there is no such thing as a society, only a
00:37collection of individuals. And they have
00:39views, opinions and make choices that often
00:41go against the grain of others, or
00:43you as their leader. How will you
00:45react when a rift forms between your people?
00:48When divisions grow seemingly
00:50irreconcilable, you might be tempted to make
00:51choices that will be irreversible for your society.
00:54A true point of no return.
01:00After choosing the path of order,
01:01you'll get access to a whole new
01:03decision tree, with more tools
01:05to tackle the harsh conditions.
01:08Different buildings, different abilities
01:10and different laws.
01:12And when facing a simple
01:13situation, you might be tempted
01:16to use the simplest solution.
01:18For example, to battle
01:20vandals agitating against your rule,
01:22you may use neighborhood watch
01:23to restore order, but
01:25what will happen when the division escalates?
01:30When people start stealing or murdering
01:32each other, you will have many
01:33options. You may banish them,
01:36you may imprison them,
01:37you may even turn a blind eye
01:39and face the consequences.
01:42And when hope is low,
01:43you may think that propaganda is a good
01:46solution. And when people
01:48take it to the streets, you might
01:50be tempted to use guards
01:52to restore order, instead
01:53of hearing what people have to say.
02:06Where is the line
02:08of necessary evil to ensure
02:09everyone's survival? You have to
02:12remember that every decision shapes
02:13the society, and it's not always
02:16in a good way. There's a
02:18thin line between order that
02:19ensures safety, and order that
02:22is actually despotism.
02:27In today's world,
02:28social and political situation
02:29often gets twisted into the extreme,
02:31and that can make Frostpunk a more
02:33topical game that many would expect.
02:35One bad choice leading to the next,
02:37harsh conditions, favoring survival
02:39over decency. All of these can
02:41make your society drift into a
02:43dictatorial state. And when you grow
02:45power hungry, using oppressive practices
02:47can easily lead you to control the city
02:49with radical, totalitarian methods.
02:51Of course, imposing order might
02:53not be your idea of trying to fix things.
02:55History shows paths other than
02:56ruling with an iron fist.
02:59Ultimately, our game is about people.
03:01How you lead them to survival is up to you.
03:17We are almost to you.
