00:00I don't understand why Team USA has such a, why they've taken such a serious tone with all of this.
00:11Like the Cal Raleigh stuff, who is now just getting clowned by everybody, including the Savannah Bananas this weekend.
00:19Yeah, you sent that highlight in the thread. It's the Bananas, like a batter goes up to a catcher and
00:24tries to get a handshake.
00:25Like he says no. And even Naylor, even Naylor, when he went up to bat against Cal Raleigh, he's like,
00:32hey, you gonna shake my hand?
00:33No, all right, I'm gonna go over here and bat. Yeah, it's so, yeah, right. And Naylor's a Canadian player.
00:40So it's not just, you know, people like that. But when you say the tone, you mean stuff they say
00:45or stuff they act, everything they do or what?
00:47It very much feels like duty and not a calling. Isn't it pressure? Isn't that a big part of it?
00:56I don't know. Your Team USA, it's on American soil. You're supposed to get it done. The pressure is there.
01:02If you don't win, it's a loss.
01:03Okay. But Japan had that same thing and Japan played with more joy.
01:07I'd like for them to find more balance of that. Because if we go back to the Olympics last summer,
01:13Team USA basketball had a little bit of that, too.
01:16It felt like there was a weight. But inside of it, there was still some joy that was had.
01:22Now, maybe the whole thing is that you can't have fun until you win. And there's Ozzy. Fun is winning
01:27and winning is fun.
01:29There's all that stuff. It just seems so without joy.
01:33Pete Crow Armstrong. I couldn't believe it was the same person.
01:38When he gave his postgame after the Canada game?
01:40Yes. I'm sitting there going, all right, Pete's going to give me something. Pete's fun.
01:45He is the person that MLB is holding up and saying, you know what's fun about baseball?
01:55Pete Crow Armstrong. Look at this guy and all the different things that he can do.
02:00He's a chaos agent. He's an incredible center fielder. All this stuff.
02:05If I didn't tell you that this was Pete Crow Armstrong, you would think this is Brian McCann.
02:12Next up, Dominican Republic in Miami. One of the most dominant offenses we've seen.
02:17Pete, you've been playing internationally for Team USA since you were 12 years old.
02:21What kind of atmosphere do you expect?
02:24I expect to be the away team for sure, but that's what we're looking forward to, man.
02:29We want the electricity, the energy, and the crowd.
02:32That's why we're throwing Mr. Skeens out there for whatever he's going to give him.
02:39It's going to be good.
02:42Pete has that side in him, though, too, where he wants to give you the seriousness,
02:48let you know he's taking it seriously. We've seen some of that from Pete.
02:51I was just like, not Pete. They got Pete!
