00:00So my first name is also technically Alisa, but everyone says Alisa, and that's totally okay.
00:05Like everyone pronounces things differently. And then my last name, the correct Chinese pronunciation
00:09is Liu. Hi, Laura. I'm Alisa, and this is my 10-minute beauty routine.
00:17Today, we're going to be doing my like competition look, kind of everyday look. I kind of do the
00:23same thing all the time. Okay, so we start with contour. I'm going to use this, and then I use
00:29this brush. So yes, let's get to it. So I start with my jaw, of course. I kind of just
00:37like
00:38line a lot. Like it looks like a lot, but trust, it blends out well. And then like a little
00:43bit
00:44up here on the side too. And then I put like a little bit on my nose. I started doing
00:52this recently.
00:53Don't know what it does. If it does anything. But yeah, like see, it just like blends out so well.
01:02And I usually put sunscreen on before like doing this. So I would, I would recommend doing that.
01:09I didn't really have a beauty inspiration growing up because it was raised by my dad, pretty much.
01:14I learned from like my friends and then like other figure skaters, especially like on tour.
01:20I learned a lot from my teammates. Next, I do highlighter. So I'm going to highlight my nose
01:29and I like use a brush so I can be more precise with it. Just like do dot here. I
01:37don't even know
01:37I can't really see it. And then, um, a line like there. I don't know.
01:45And then I go in with, um, eyeshadow, black eyeshadow and a brush. I like a smoky eye a lot.
01:57So I don't do anything for my skin in the morning, which maybe I should. But, um, at night,
02:04I like to use a cleanser, like a, a balm and then eye cream. And then, uh, I use like
02:13snail
02:14mu- mu- mucus. I don't know. I don't know what the, what it's called. Like exactly. It's like
02:20a
02:21moisturizer. It works really well. And I heard that they don't sell it anymore. So like the brand
02:26I use doesn't sell it anymore. And I'm almost out of it, but Hey, it's okay. And then I use
02:34eyeliner. I don't know where it's gone. Is it rolled under? That's all right. Oh, thank you.
02:40So I use a black eyeliner and this really helps, um, define my eyes. So I use like a ton.
02:49I use
02:50a lot. And I just put it, my lower lash line. It's like gets complicated. So I like have to
03:04lift
03:04my eye out. I do my own makeup now, but before when I was skating, like Mossmo would do it
03:15for
03:15me or like, I wouldn't wear any and same with hair. I don't know. My dad used to do my
03:21hair
03:21when I was a kid and then my coach would do it for me. And yeah, now I know how
03:27to do my
03:28own hair, my own makeup. Um, so it's, I don't know. I have more control in that way. And
03:34the eye line is always hard to do. I, you've got to clean it up with your fingers. That's
03:39perfect. That's, I hope I can do this on the other side.
03:45And then, um, inner corners. And then I just like blend it out with my finger again. Yeah.
03:59And I would say like, that's, it's as good as it gets with my eyeliner. Now that that's done,
04:07hard part is over. And I go in with my eyebrow pencil and I like carve out like the egg
04:14oil
04:14saw, I think it's called. And like at first it looks super intense, but I blend out with
04:21my, uh, fingers. So it like, yeah. Okay. And then I do my eyebrows since I have this and
04:32I use the backside and I push my eyebrows down actually. And I just draw them on and I make
04:44it like a little bit thicker than it is. I listen to music in the background, uh, when
04:51I get ready or I'll call like my best friend and chat it up. I love listening to indie pop.
05:00Um, I love bubblegum pop too. Um, my favorite artists is definitely Pink Pantherist. And then,
05:12um, I also love listening to like Magdalena Bay, Bebadooby. Um, great to listen to when doing
05:19my makeup. This eyebrow just got to make it even. What makes a song great for skaters is
05:31if they like feel the music and if they move to it, well, whatever is in my Spotify playlist
05:37and whatever I really like listening to, um, I take it into consideration. I think, can I skate to
05:43this? Does it make sense to do crossovers here? How long is the song? Cause our programs are certain,
05:49have to be a certain length. And yeah, I have to take all that into consideration. Tempo as well.
05:55And if the song has ups and downs and stuff like that. Now that I've done that, I do my
06:01mascara and
06:02I use this and it's a tubing mascara. And I've tried a lot of mascaras, but tubing mascara is like
06:08my favorite type. And I just coat it. Like for competitions, I used to wear, uh, fake lashes,
06:18but I realized like it was almost too much for my face. And so I've opted for just mascara during
06:28competitions. So my hair, uh, is kind of like, I think of it as tree rings. Um, so every year
06:37I add
06:38a new bleach line, bleach stripe. I actually originally wanted to do raccoon stripes in my
06:44hair, but, um, I thought it would be too hard to maintain and it would grow out funny. And so
06:51I
06:52thought like, Oh, why don't I just do one, like one ring up top. And then I like bleached my,
06:58the tips
06:59of my hair. And then next year it grew out. And I was like, Oh my God, I should add
07:03another one.
07:03Like, and I would be like a tree. So ever since then, I've just been adding one every end of
07:09December.
07:09So yeah, that's how it ended up this way. And then I also take like for my mascara, I
07:17put some on top of my lashes too. Uh, so that it's just like extra
07:26Since I don't wear fake lashes, I really have to make them prominent.
07:34I like that it washes off with water. Um, two mascara is great for that. So
07:41and it doesn't take out my lashes.
07:46This mascara looks pretty done to me. I might go more like after. Um, and now I go back with
07:55the highlighter and I put it on my like inner corners of my eyes and I just do a little
08:01bit again.
08:03Oh, yep. Yep. And I feel like that just brightens up like everything.
08:11And then I also put a little bit like under here
08:19kind of in between where I put like the line. Oh, oh, I also do a little bit here.
08:31I actually use this a lot. I put it like under my eyebrow. Yeah.
08:42So I want you to clear the air for me. Are people saying your last name correctly?
08:48Um, no, but like, it's totally okay. So my first name is also technically Elisa,
08:54but everyone says Elisa and that's totally okay. Like everyone pronounces things differently. And I,
08:58I don't mind Elisa either. That's just like natural. My friends call me Elisa, but my family
09:03will call me Elisa. And then my last name, the correct Chinese pronunciation is Liu, but it acts
09:10hard for people. So a lot of people say Liu or Lu. And I actually don't mind. I think Liu
09:14is really
09:14cute. Liu is like the American Americanized version, I guess. I don't know. Um, but Liu
09:23is technically the correct way. If you want to be exact. And then I put lip gloss on and
09:35yeah.
09:41So speaking of lips, can you talk about your piercing that's not going to be your lips?
09:45Yes. My smiley piercing. I did it December of 2022. Um, I did it myself and it was super
09:54painless, zero out of 10. I had my sister like help hold my lip up and I had the piercing
10:00needle
10:00and everything. And, um, yeah, I could like move it around like that, like right after I pierced it.
10:05So I've had it for a long time and hopefully two to stay. So yeah, I did these two myself,
10:10the helix and the third lobe, but I feel like I have a, I have a good amount for me
10:16for now.
10:17Would you ever get tooth gems?
10:18I would never get tooth gems. Actually, you know, I'm not going to say I would never get tooth gems.
10:23I've never thought about getting tooth gems.
10:25Has anime inspired you looking at any way?
10:27Probably has inspired my look. Um, I can't really put a finger on it, but I think everything in my
10:32life
10:33has just inspired me in a lot of ways. I don't even know.
10:36Can I ask what anime you're watching right now?
10:38I really do want to, uh, watch the new episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen.
10:43I haven't watched them yet. I'm waiting to watch it with my cousin.
10:45My top three JJK characters. Maki, Nobara, of course, and Shoko.
10:53Do you have a favorite JJK ship or couple?
10:56I have a controversial opinion about a ship or a couple that actually like exists.
11:02Manga spoilers, just in case. Maki and Yuta. I don't get it. I don't get it.
11:07I don't see it. Um, yeah, I'm sorry.
11:12Where should Maki be with it then?
11:13No one. No one.
11:17This is my finished look. This is what I wear out on the ice, out on the street.
11:28So this is my first beauty tutorial. Loved it.
11:33I don't know. I hope I was entertaining enough. I hope it was good and I don't know if anyone
11:39learned anything, but, um, if you did, you're welcome. And if you didn't, I apologize. And maybe
11:45next time, maybe next time I'll, uh, have some advice for you.
11:50But back to see me.
11:51And.
11:55But, uh,
