As tensions escalate in the Middle East, Iran has called for a thorough reassessment of its ties with Gulf nations in light of the ongoing conflict involving the U.S. and Israel. In a discussion with Reuters, Iran's envoy to Saudi Arabia stated that despite the hostilities, it is essential for Iran and its Gulf partners to engage with one another and reconsider their regional dynamics.

Since the end of February, Gulf nations have reportedly endured more than 2,000 missile and drone strikes aimed at oil facilities, seaports, airports, hotels, and residential zones. Saudi Arabia's eastern oil-producing area, along with critical locations such as the Ras Tanura refinery and Shaybah oil field, has been under threat, while the UAE has faced some of the most intense assaults.

Iran has refuted any claims of involvement in attacks targeting Saudi oil infrastructure, asserting that its focus is solely on U.S. and Israeli interests. Concurrently, Gulf nations are experiencing increasing pressure as the conflict permeates the area.

After Saudi Arabia and Iran recently reestablished diplomatic ties in 2023 following years of rivalry, the pressing question now is whether diplomacy can withstand the ongoing war.

Is the region heading towards collaboration or deeper discord?

Watch the complete video to grasp the implications for the future stability of the Middle East.
